I’m so glad that it finally worked out for you. I could hear in your voice how excited you were. When you purchase something you want it to work. Good job! Thanks for taking the time to explain everything you learned. It does help others. ❤️🤗🙋🏻♀️
Thank you for this video. As I was struggling with the same issues as you. Yes tamp it down many times before pushing it in all the way to the bottom. Then when it comes out tamp it again a few times before putting it in the cooling rack. I used 3 big clips to place across the book, both ends and one in the middle. Then I tamped it down again after the colling cycle and left it sit for bit until I could touch the spine and feel no heat.
Thank you so much for working this out! I can see how the tamping before and after will make a difference. Also thanks for the 1/2 inch scoring hint. I was thinking about lightly sanding the heavier cardstock on the edges going into the glue a tip I saw elsewhere. TERRIFIC JOB!!
You have worked it out lori! It looks great, you now have what you wanted from your cinch. This is why i love watching you because you show us when it goes wrong and also when it goes the right way too. Thank you so much lori. 👏👏😘
I am so glad to see you got it working! I do think scoring the binding piece is going to be a key when using thick paper or card stock. I also agree that tamping down is really important. If all the pages aren't really down into the glue there will not be a good bond, I purchased mine to use with thinner paper like copy paper to make notebooks. So far Mine have worked really well (except for the couple I didn't get all the way down into the machine). I will have to try one with card stock and see how that goes.
Hi Lori ,it seems that once you get the basic step down it will come easier each time your book is nice thank you for the tutorial I will definitely thing about this nice tool👍🏼🤗hugs
I looked at your first video and was tempted to return my machine, then I came up on the demonstrator on Hobby Maker she was good at her demo. I also was wondering about the book being open. So I am going to score the page. I am going to try today. I am glad you got success😃
I tamped my so much that the glue spilled out the ends and glued all my pages together on the end! (And I cut the glue back on the spine) I pushed it all out. Smh.
Definitely try Tamping down the pages before and after heating. Also be sure the book is very cooled off before you open it. For me I think it also helped to have the pages scored. I can't say that I am 100 percent happy with it but that helped.
@@lorisdiylife9488 I have tried everything done in the video nothing has helped it just seems like one side gets hotter than the other but it’s still not majorly hot the glue isn’t spreading well
@@Sophielu94 I wonder if your machine isn't working correctly. I believe I heard somewhere that someone got one that wasn't working correctly. Maybe you should see about returning it or exchanging it.

Thank you DiEtta. I really did want it to work.

I think tapping it down was the winner
Looks like success with Cinch. I Love how you stick to it. I would have given up. Congrats.
Thanks Beckie

Score lines make a difference. Nice job
Thank you
YES, thank you again, that is also an issue that it heated one end really good and not the other.
Definitely not as easy as they make us think.
@@lorisdiylife9488 No, but with the tips and tricks of others like this, we will all figure it out. lol
I love the idea of the score lines. I was wondering about how it would work without popping the pages out of the glue. Thank you.

Gladys I was worried about it opening when I watched the demonstration so when I had my problems I was upset but I am glad I found the other videos.

Oh my goodness. I'll have to watch out for that.
Did you have to score every page, or just the cover/spine?
I scored every page

Welcome
Just received mine today and I cannot for the life of me get a single book to work 😂 spent nearly £200 on this thing and I so so regret it

I’m going to have to do
How much did that machine cost you?
I got it on the Today's Special on HSN on craft day. I don't remember the price.
I got mine on HSN $79.99.
