Excellent video! For about 400 years I've been chasing that little attachment bar sliding and balancing it on the tone ring until I can capture it with the little bolt. I never thought of applying the method you just showed us lol lol soooooo much easier! Thank you!!!!!!

Thank you for this video. I always struggle to get this back on my banjo. It never occurred to me to to partially screw the back piece on first. You saved me some serious aggregation.

Great vid. Thanks. Incredible that manufacturers still use this clumsy design considering modern engineering possibilities! I know there's a few out there making much more user friendly options.

Hey Jake, I agree this is the best way to install the Armrest if the bolt is long enough... but a shorter bolt will not usually allow enough gap for the bar to clear the hook...so in that case, I put a rare earth magnet on the front of the bolt and it will suck the bar right up to the threaded hole......Hillbilly Technology LOL!

I see your banjo wrench fits the nuts on your banjo. I have a Recording King RK-75 and the enclosed wrench doesn’t fit. I bought 2 more1/4 inch wrenches and neither one fits. I assume it must be metric. I have a 1/4 inch open end ignition wrench that seems to fit fine. I don’t want a sloppy fit. I’m going to have to break out my verniers and measure. It could be the plating is heavy some of the nuts fit. What can you tell me from your experience? Thanx, and I came here fore the video. I enjoyed it!

Any idea how to deal with a bar that won’t fit under one of the brackets?

does anybody know if it's possible to use it as a left handed player? I mean, change the position of the arm rest?

I don't think it would make any difference if you just move it to the left side? but since your question is from a year ago you probably already have your answer
