  • The full title for this powerful magnetising prayer is "Wangdü: The Great Cloud of Blessings - The Prayer Which Magnetizes All That Appears and Exists"
It is a powerful practice which combines 9 deities from the Lotus (Padma) family. At the level of Dharmakaya at the top, is (1) Amitabha and below him is (2) Vajradharma (Dorje Cho). (3) Pema Gyalpo is the central deity portrayed in Sambhogakaya form. (4) Red Avalokiteshvara is on the top right (of the central
deity), (5) Red Hayagriva is on the top left (Hayagriva is called Powerful Heruka instead). (6) ‘Secret Primordial Awareness’ Guhyajñana is on the centre right.
    (7) Vajravarahi is on the centre left. (8) Dope Gyalpo (King of Desire) is in the
bottom left corner. (9) Kurukulla is in the bottom right corner. It's purpose is to attract and magnetise positive circumstances in order to tame one's own mind and thereby benefit others. It is said that recitation of this prayer can help to bring all animate and inanimate phenomena under one's control. This prayer was written by Mipham Rinpoche (Jamgön Ju Mipham Gyatso, or Mipham Jamyang Namgyal Gyamtso). He was a very influential philosopher and polymath of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. He wrote over 32 volumes on topics such as painting, poetics, sculpture, alchemy, medicine, logic, philosophy and tantra.
His Holiness Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche says "if due to having no control over your mind, you are unable to give rise to bodhicitta, emptiness and other non-worldly accomplishments, reciting Wang Dü with diligence will allow you to gain these qualities with ease.”
The great master Khenpo Sodargye explains that “even though Wang Dü is not identified as a terma, it is generally understood to have come from Ju Mipham Rinpoche’s wisdom mind, from the great Bodhisattva Manjushri. Wang Dü is an extraordinary prayer that brings within one’s power, all phenomena in the entire universe, while at its most powerful, it bestows the ability to tame one’s mind. Therefore, it can be said to have two main effects: an outer and an inner one. By relying on the prayer, one gains in the outer sense, the ability to benefit all living beings; while its inner effect offers one the ability to control discursive thoughts, and thereby attain unrestrained control of the body and the mind.”
This wonderful rendition is chanted by His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje and therefore is especially blessed.
If this prayer is chanted with faith and the pure attitude of bodhicitta it will be the cause for increasing power, influence, authority and control over all that appears and exists. By reducing negative forces in one's life and bringing about beneficial circumstances we can then practice the dharma properly and therefore work toward helping others with compassion.
