Whitetail Buck in the Road

Colton and I traveled to Northern Idaho last November to hunt whitetail bucks with an old friend of his named Jake. After an all night road trip, we arrived at Jake's place around 4 am. He was kind enough to let us stay at his shop apartment for a few days and pointed us in the direction of some good places to hunt. Jake told us of a nice buck that was living within just a couple hundred yards of where we were staying. We looked for him several times but he never emerged. On the second morning, Colton and I both filled our tags on nice bucks within just minutes of each. After processing our deer, and a quick spontaneous road trip to see family, we came back to Jake's shop and packed up to leave. As we were leaving, the buck he told us about crossed his driveway right in front of us in broad daylight!

If it's a trophy for you that's all that matters!! We try to let them grow to around six,that buck looked like around a three year old,just imagine what he will be at six.
But hunting is supposed to be enjoyable,and watching you guys hunt,I would say you are definitely having a great time,keep it up and thank you for sharing

There are some monster white tails on the snake river over by Blackfoot.
South East corner! That's my old hunting grounds! There are some real monster mulies there,my best grossed 225 29" wide,19 scoreable points,,second best 31" wide 12 pt 190,probably in your backyard,lol! Now im down south Georgia,Alabama,ky,Ohio,are areas I hang out in.
