- so you’re going to university… now what? i’m sure you’re thinking about what to bring to university and what it’s going to be like. first year is honestly what you make it. i think it’s one of the few times in life where you can truly start over and tailor make the experience to suit you. ultimately my advice is to have the best time you can. but if you want a bit more advice than that, then in this video i share what you should bring as well as some tips to survive first year. as always, i hope it helps. see you next week…

Thanks for the tips Chelsie !!! You mentioned a cleaning inspection , can you tell me what that is and how often it takes place? Also can you have people over for a night or two like your boyfriend or close friends that dont go the uni and came to visit you

Hey love you vids!! I’m Canadian but I’m going to do my Juris Doctor at York next year. Can you do a video on all your extracurriculars, you mentioned you were a brand ambassador among a lot more things. Can you explain how to do all of that or like where you found out about all of those opportunities?
Hey, thank you!! Congrats about coming to York! my most recent video i guess applies to how wrote my applications and some of the things i did to strength my chances of getting good work experience. but honestly we have a law careers tutor at York called Chris, and he emails round every opportunity going so i just applied for what I fancied.
What freshers tickets would you recommend getting? I was thinking my own college one and a freshers festival one from the YUSU website :)
i'd say that's plenty! all down to how much you want to be going out! i just got my college one and a viking raid ticket.
Chelsie are you going to be living in the student accomodation during your third year? I made a mistake and applied to Vanbrugh lol I wanted Constantine :( I haven’t been able to trade my room with anyone, do you think I can get a room in Constantine on the third week after starting? Have you met anyone changing accomodation in the third week of the first term?
Hi! I'm not, I'll be in a student house. I'd recommend putting an advert on all uni of york facebook pages if you haven't already. you might get someone to take it that way. i haven't met many people who change rooms. but a lot of people leave/drop out after christmas in first year so that should open up some rooms. in first year we got a new flat mate in January and in second year we had about 5 new flat mates throughout the year bc of this. just keep and eye out! best of luck!
@@ChelsieAngeles Thanks for answering! It's hard to believe that there are 'a lot of people' who drop out in christmas, just one term and they're gone lol. Btw, have you heard the Derwent and Vanbrugh asbesto's jokes? I have been seeing the group chats and people joke about it so casually but it makes me feel very apprehensive about Vanbrugh, hence why I want to change to Constantine. Lastly, did you have any flatmates doing Economics in Constantine? Thanks for reading :)
How much is one term of rent for Constantine for the en-suite? I have to have 44 weeks because of being a nursing student x
