Just means that you can create functions with the same name but each function has a different type of argument or different number of arguments.
ex: void print(int a); void print (char a); void print (int a, int b);
No compilation error because they all have different arguments or a different number of arguments.
ex 2: void print (int a); void print (int a);
Error because same argument type int
