I agree. Best review. And yes, not having instructional classes is a missed opportunity, especially for vendors trying to attract interest and get a sale. My wife and I only attended one day, and they would've been one of the things that we'd have stayed. Because we're beginners, we collected info, talked to peeps and got ideas on gear etc., but you know how it is . . . the material has now been sitting on the couch since leaving Flagstaff and we might not remember what we were thinking about nor even look at the stuff again. More stickers available might have helped. There's at least a chance of following up if we had those to stick on our rig. Thanks for showing us the best rigs as well!

I am hearing all kinds of good things about the latest rage in Overlanding. Yes, you guessed it, Double Snorkels... I hear this new trend started in Afganistan and Bravia

At this point, it’s cheaper to go on adventures, explore, eat at a fancy restaurant and sleep at a nice hotel instead of buying all this equipment. Crazy!

I would have to say Lonepeak is the best setup for the money, but i guess it depends on individual needs

Best review of the expo so far! Well done! What in the world was Van7 thinking with a 4.7k price point for the manual crank bed lift? Automatic ones go for 3.5k ish....

You are the first Review of Overland Expo that talked about Ineos being highly represented. I have only seen Toyotas (maybe because those are the channels I have subscribed to) and of course the wild Expedition Vehicles.

INEOS was the only manufacturer at the event doing demos. They also had a presence in many of the top booths at the show, highlighting a ton of new products for the platform. -Bryon Dorr

@@ExploringElements I like the roof chop and sleeper top that OK4WD did. I watched their video that was released right before Expo. I am wanting some camping videos from them.

I remember the good ol’ days when camping was had by what you had and hand-me-downs. A tent, sleeping bag, fishing pole, toilet paper, a shovel, a spoon, a knife and a lighter. Oh, and a bucket and beer! That’s all!

Overlanding is for rich folk - car camping is for everyone else.

It's all about how you define things. For me it's about doing what you want and adventuring. Much of the latest and greatest at the show this year was quite expensive, however.
PS: I lived and traveled in a vehicle for nearly 8 years, 6 of which I lived under the poverty line. I hit the road with no debt and like $2k in my bank account, so I wouldn't say rich.
