    Hey, thanks so much for the info. I have one question. I heard if you are on a TN visa you can’t get a green card ever. So if you like to get a green card someday (for example to study for an NP program as a US domestic student) you need to get a job offer and get other type of visas, regular visas. Do you have any info about that, or any ideas?

    hi Linda- that was great. I am only starting to think about this now. I am a RN from Quebec initially ( currently have a Diploma- working on my Bachelors in nursing), therefore I didnot have to do NcLex. But i am practicing as a RN in Ontario so i have my license from CNO. Do i still need to pass NCLEX. If yes, Can you send me the link or any websites to start off the process. another question- should i try Nclex in Ontario or directly USA. another question is -I am a CAN citizen from longtime however I am not born in Canada- was that ever a question? I was talking to this agency -they said that USA goes by the country of birth and not the citizen. Please guide - thanks in advance. Have a good day!

    • @lindadiep_
      @lindadiep_  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Hello, sorry I am late with this, you will have to pass the NCLEX. I would started with the NCSBN web: www.ncsbn.org/ and create and account to start beginning the application to test. You can do it in ON so it is not so far I did it London, ON. Not too sure on the citizenship portion, do you mean for the CGFNS screening?

    Thank you for the video! Can I apply to all these while I am in the states? Do I need to be in Canada or physically go to the Canadian border for the TN visa or anything else?

    • @lindadiep_
      @lindadiep_  Před 7 měsíci

      I personally live in a border city so going to the CAN/US border was the easiest, I drove to the USA Port of entry and I brought my documents (Sponsor letter, Passport, Visa Screen, Licence, Transcripts, SSN, and $56 CASH/Credit) and received my TN Status/I94 the same day!

    Thanks for sharing Linda. Is it possible to convert from TN1 visa to Green card dual intent as well ?

    • @lindadiep_
      @lindadiep_  Před 5 měsíci

      I am not sure if you can convert TN to green card as TN visa means you do not have an intent to immigrant. However I do know people who are under TN visa and the hospital sponsored them to get a green card.

    Hi thanks for the information. Did you have to do any exams like a jurisprudence exam for Michigan? I'm an RN from Ontario and also looking to get a job in Michigan. What job fair did you attend? Or what would you recommend for job searching? Tia

    • @lindadiep_
      @lindadiep_  Před 6 měsíci

      Hello! I do not recall doing the jurisprudence for Michigan, I do remember doing it for Ontario. I actually did attend a job fair and emailed the manager directly. I would definitely recommend job fairs in Detroit/Windsor, ON as some units will do on the spot interviews and these were the ones close to me. I'm not sure if you're looking for metro Detroit area/which specialty but there is: Henry Ford Hospital (main campus, start my career here and love it!), Beaumont, DMC, and St. John Ascension - usually HFH and Beaumont host job fairs in Windsor, ON as well. DM me if you want more info on what I know and I can try and help!

    You said the TN visa is renewable up to 3 years but I was under the impression it was renewable indefinitely. I could be misunderstand. Also did you need two years work experience in your field to apply for a TN?

    • @lindadiep_
      @lindadiep_  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Hello! Sorry maybe I worded it wrong the TN can be renewable every 3 years indefinitely. The hospital/company can decide how long your TN is valid for based on your sponsor letter.

    Hi can I apply for state license before I get cleared by cgfns?

    • @lindadiep_
      @lindadiep_  Před 7 měsíci

      You can do this, I would just recommend paying attention to license renewal policies/dates and the wait times for the specific state your interested in ie. CGFNS clearance can take up to 6-8 mos+ and if you apply for a state like WA where license renewal is yearly, you may run into having an unused license while still waiting for VisaScreen or a Cali license can take up to 6-8 mos+ as well so it could beneficial!

    Hi, Thank you for your informative video. I am a RPN in Ontario, how can I move to the US to work?

    • @kiearacelina
      @kiearacelina Před 8 měsíci +1

      We don’t qualify for the TN visa but we do for the EB3 green card sponsorship. You would first have to go through the CGFNS screening to verify your education in Canada but depending on where you want to get licensed, you can check out Joseph & Silny associates because they do it too and have recently been approved for screenings as well. They’re who I did mine with. Then , to get licensed in the USA, start by applying at the nursing board for the state you want to work at and then following the steps to write your nclex. Once you’ve passed, you’ll have to apply for jobs that are willing to sponsor nurses and then get sponsored. The great thing about the EB3 visa is that you get a green card with it meaning that you automatically become a permanent resident as opposed to just getting a work visa that expires around every two years. Almost done with my process 😊. I hope this helps.
