    Both of these 560s are smoking hard. I know for a fact the 806s could smoke like this everyday and keep it up!

    We had a 560 diesel which we added a turbo and turned up the injector pressure a little. Very cool! It was fun starting the tractor in the winter. Black smoke would fill the barn up and the engine would knock a little louder with the usual diesel knock. 😊

    Cool video nice old tractors, you likely made the video more entertaining by showing them working hard. The engine at the base of the stack must be getting a lot of soot in the oil, just had to join the frey and tell you your operating your stuff a touch hard. Now I feel smart too, thanks for posting.

    Got the screws turned a bit too far. They'll get hot like that and not gain much more power without a turbo, unless you turn the rpms up.

      We had 2 560s with M and W blowers reworked pumps and injectors Pulled between 85 and 90 hp on dyno smoked like these. White smoke is unburnt fuel. Black smoke is power. Both of our 560s had over 6000 hrs on motors before being rebuilt.

      @@danw6014 as long as the world hasn’t depleted the oil, they’ll call it a hoax. After we run out of oil, those who profited from big oil will just blame the earlier generations and say “it wasn’t our fault. They knew emissions were screwing up the planet. They should have done something about it then.”
      And the rich go unpunished for trashing our planet again.

    • @tannertuner
      @tannertuner Před 3 lety +4

      With a diesel, that black smoke means the engine is being efficient. It doesn’t need an overhaul. Newer diesel technology has added emissions control and a bunch of computer mess that manufacturers own patents for that makes maintenance and repair cost sky high. That’s a huge reason farmers are going back to these old simple but reliable smoke stack machines. It’s more than just nostalgia.

    • @danw6014
      @danw6014 Před 3 lety +2

      @@tannertuner it not CO2. It's the sun. There is climate change but it's not what they are telling you. Start doing research on the GSM. There has been a bunch of volcanic eruptions this week plus the magnetic poles are moving because the earth's magnetic field is weakened because of the drop in solar activity. The earth's climate is controlled by solar cycles. Meanwhile we are told that solar and wind is the only way to "save the planet ", but Texas just showed us how undependable it is. The media then says the cold weather froze the natural gas pipelines but when they move gas though pipelines they do so as a liquid. Liquid natural gas is about 200 degrees Fahrenheit below zero. If things continue, there be plenty of oil for the ruling class who will not give up private jets, big yachts, huge fenced in estates to keep the little people out and million dollar Ferraris, but in the name of "saving the planet " there will be no oil for you.

    • @tannertuner
      @tannertuner Před 3 lety +2

      @@danw6014 yeah, as to the wind turbines in Texas, they weren’t winterized. Texas had decided to form it’s own power grid so it wouldn’t have to follow federal regulations. And the companies saved money by not being prepared for this. The research stations in Antarctica are powered by wind turbines just fine. And it gets a lot colder there. A couple of energy company CEOs have resigned in the aftermath.
      No. They aren’t saying the oil isn’t flowing in the pipelines. What I’ve heard them say is that the blizzard and the power outages temporarily shut down refineries and transportation out of Texas.
      The magnetic poles are moving because they always have. We may be experiencing a polar shift due to the planetary alignment that was supposed to be the end of the Mayan calendar. Last time that alignment happened, scientists say there was a polar shift then.
      But something like 97% of scientists agree that petroleum emissions are contributing heavily to the climate change. The only ones who disagree, work for the oil industry. Open your eyes man. It’s exactly like dietary research that was paid for by the sugar industry 50 years ago that is why the health care system focuses on fat and cholesterol for heart disease when the problem is blood glucose. So they sell a trillion dollars worth of cholesterol pills as our nation gets fat as hogs on high carb low fat diets trying to control our cholesterol and heart disease keeps going up not down. It’s the same thing.
      Seriously, I know a lot of liberals. They don’t just have it out for the oil industry because they hate cars and trucks or something. They have no ulterior motive. They’re really convinced mankind is the beast destroying the planet and there will be nothing here for our grandchildren. And we don’t have to destroy the planet. But greed and gluttony doesn’t care about our grandchildren.
      Besides, when did conservation become liberal and gluttonous consumption and waste become conservative?
      Today’s version of “conservative” is nothing like my grandparents’ conservative.
      I had to keep editing this because I can’t see all of your comment.
