Idk how FromSoft makes such funny ass NPCs without ever cracking a joke. They always spawn an arsenal of memes. 5 seconds out of the tutorial and you get called a virgin loser and told to go fight an enemy way above your level
@malamanalopa2786 i said the same thing until i got a little further into dark souls 2 and then realized why everyone says it's an ass game, all the bosses are the easiest I've ever fought, but the bosses aren't the problem, it's the MASSIVE areas and the fact that durability is WAY less than in any other dark souls and it gets reset by the bonfire, meaning in tougher areas you HAVE to kill the enemies so much that they stop spawning(12 or so times) in order to progress.

Disagree. I started in Demon Souls. Thats why i love that piece of crap. DS2 is so trash that he was able to have a wrost gameplay than the first game. How bad a game is to be wrost than first game made in 2009?
I loved DS2 idk wtf anyone else is talking about Finding the “great king” Vendrick for the first time (just a lonely hollowed corpse walking in circles in a tomb) really was the most impactful point I’ve had in any souls game
I really liked seeing Gwyn for the first time in Ds1. The great Lord of Sunlight himself who fought the Dragons and founded Anor Londo and the Silver Knights of Gwyn was nothing now but a hollowed shadow of his former self.
Most people who played the game liked it too but a lot of people on the internet are just brain dead bots with no own opinions on anything so what they do is just repeat whatever their favourite streamer/youtuber says. I mean look at prime example Asmongold and his chat.
@@PoW3R8 I just finished my first run, and really didn't like much of DS2. I loved the Ivory King DLC, but aside from that, I'd rather play other souls games than have to touch half the areas in DS2 again.
@@ies_irae1397 it really was tho. It had amazing pacing and it just feels so dsrk soulsy. My only gripes with it, are hitboxes are so unreliable, the animations and world detail. Besides that it is really great.
@@toastyfrog9630 I think you’re probably right, the biggest problem people had is that it isn’t really dark souls, it’s very much it’s own thing that just uses dark souls mechanics. Granted there are some well justified gripes like enemy variety, enemy quantity, bosses, adp, confusing world, enemy placement, etc. but if we didn’t have such a great standard to compare it to it definitely would sit higher on many peoples lists
Also,Majula is sunny and calm amd warm, it's a good place to just stay in and rest after completing a lava-filled fort or a spider nest or a madmen driven prison
Emerald Herald and Majula theme really felt like home, like a close friend or partner amongst neighbors. DS2 was my first (so it’s obv best) and I played it through a whirlwind of depression and off-yourself-ality so while I pushed my limits and broke self-imposed boundaries, Majula was always there to welcome me back. DS2 best Souls
I love that people love it. Being the worst Dark Souls game is like winning a bronze medal at the Olympics. DS2 is still one of the best there ever was. Still, playing it back to back with other FromSoft games really shines a light on how clunky and slow the combat is
@@trequor It was a bit, for sure, but as an enjoyer of power-stancing Greatswords it clicked way better. After a while making cosplays and doing pvp I can say it’s a bit more necessary to be preemptive and use your effective range to your advantage. The PvE could definitely use some work, but PvP shines as a more fluid- if jankier- Souls experience
@@jtjelani Lol and how about the first 10 hours before you get stats for powerstancing greatswords? Powerstancing is cool, but we lost the ability to organically dual wield because nothing combos with anything else anymore. My jaw dropped when I first started DS2 and realized that light attacks and heavy attacks didnt combo anymore
@@trequor The gameplay was fine for all my characters before I solidified the builds, it all depends on how you use your kit, and from what I’ve seen the fandom appreciates powerstancing much more than DS1 dual wield, though you still can get that same feeling in Elden Ring if you equip weapons of different function.
@@jtjelani That's partly because such a massive chunk of fans started with DS2. They never lost organic combos; they gained them when they moved on from DS2. Dual wielding aside, the inability to combo light and heavy attacks is borderline criminal
the majula theme made me drop a tear it reminded me back when I first played it was my first souls game no matter what people says about it I still love ds2 it was a great game
Same here, ds2 wasn't just my first souls game, it was my first 3rd person rpg game, years later and many, many games later and this game still holds a very special place in my heart
The Cave of Knowledge from ER really reminded me of this game! It seems like a lot of the ideas that they had for DS2 were fully realized in Elden Ring, and I love it.
The main thing that separates DS2 from the other Souls games is the pace you're intended to keep. Dark Souls 2 is meant to be taken s l o w l y. Once you slow down, and give in to the experience, it's one of the most rewarding games ever made. For the most part, the game's "zones" are very open, I think that's intentional to the play style in giving you time to plan and plot your approach The droning music, the pace of the NPCs speech , and even the representation in Vendricks trudging march, the game is saying a lot without saying anything. "Hopeful apathy" might be close to the feeling The depth of this game is incredible. (I'm probably preaching to the choir here, but hopefully someone that's on the fence about DS2 might get inspired to give it another shot)
Idk mate, playing through it again the zones seem pretty short once I'm only going through them to get to the bosses (I'm playing a caveman, so only clubs and club-likes and my naked bum and kutzpah). The rotten especially, if you know where you're going you can rush it for less.than 5 minutes. I partly blame it on the fact that I promised myself that I will be streaming my favorite game after every milestone, so...yeah.
@@chukyuniqul Yeah, I can pretty much agree with that, the zones are indeed short... Although I was mainly talking about the zones being very open, as in the opposite of cramped and claustrophobic. And you have the room and space to plot out your attacks, because for the most part, you can see it coming.. Like the spiders on the ceilings of Tseldora, or the No Man's Warf, you get these vast open areas in DS2 like no other in the series. I'm aware I'm not doing a very good job of explaining my case Lol
Just run by and you're fine. Those kobolds don't piss with you if you don't piss with em. Just like bees. But the ones later in the game drop black knight weapon and a spell or two
2 things: gank squads and world design. I can't recount how many times i've uttered the words "where tf do i go now" or "how tf is anyone supposed to find this shit out" while playing this game
could you elaborate? like not saying it in a negative way, just curious what parts were that you got lost. personally other than burning the windmill to get rid of the poison of Mytha's arena (which to be fair, that one was absolute bullshit to figure out on your own) I can't think of other places at the top of my head were progresion was vague
Title: WHY DO PEOPLE HATE DS2?! It's a question of the author and somewhat a rhetorical one. English maybe your second language but i believe every country teaches how to differentiate between question and claim is it?
Yeah. It's how they made these games. The movement was still an improvement over demons and dark. We didn't get great movement until bloodborne/ds3. That's just how it is. Still awesome. Especially if you stay in the light roll speed imo
@@Bstrdmn ah the elevation deviation. If jumping to something that is upwardly inclined your jump gets cut short, as it's a horizontal leap and has almost no height.
I love Majula and it's theme so much. I remember sometimes just standing there, listening to the music, reading item descriptions and trying out weapons and armor
The only thing I was really irritated about the game is that the normal enemies were a bigger threat than the bosses themselves, overall it was an awesome game
2 has it’s problems, like all games. But I feel like it gets way more hate than it deserves. It’s a great game, people just compare it to the others and shame it for being different. It’s like the middle child
DS2 gets a lot of hate because it's unfair BS. Phantom hitboxes (hitboxes not matching models). Spin a roonie tracking. Huge damage on the phantom hitboxes. The other Soulsborne games have TIGHT hitboxes accurate to the models. Allows for perfect minmaxing. DS2 phantom hitboxes are BS
@@Un1234lI don’t doubt that it actually does have bs hitboxes, but i honestly never noticed any of that. The only issue I had was ADP but even then, after leveling up some it became a non issue. And before leveling ADP I actually kinda liked having to really dodge the attacks, it was a nice change of pace for me after ds1
@@watsonismydog6122 The thing is if the game and hitboxes worked correcty, you SHOULDN'T have to level up ADP to hide the game's flaws. You're not supposed to get hit by air 2 feet away from you... Dark souls 2 has a very strange vibe that draws me to it from the start. The entire game keeps giving a sense of meloncholy, but it has moments of joy when you rescue npcs, beat bosses, and keep returning to Majula to see it turn into an actual neighborhood lol

@@DARK-dw2gm Yeah, good fucking job, it’s also the most boring one to play in, everyone’s running the same shit or just outright cheating. There’s no imbalance or stakes. Bravo.
Yes. But the problem with how open Majula is is that when I have to guide people who say "Where do I go from here" it's like that scene from SpongeBob where he's trying to tell Patrick to place his hand in the lid of the jar.
Honestly, DS2 is an absolute banger, and the beginning is way less bad than it sounds. You're supposed to just walk past the beginning enemies, which normally ignore you anyway. Plus the hit you're supposed to reach is like 10 meters away. Also, the half health thing can be annoying when you start the game, but you get your full health and your equipment once you reach the hut. For me, the health was really only ever an issue for the forest of giants, since once I get to Heide's Tower, I just pick up the ring that halves the effect and then just play with 3/4 of my health through the entirety of the game, without being bothered by it.
@@fozzythasalesman6125 Every time you die, you lose a bit of your max health. Luckily, it does stop declining at half your max health, but that still makes it incredibly easy to die way too quickly. So, you can use a human effigy to restore your max health to full, kind of like an ember in DS3, but you can always see how much you've lost/ to gain when using an effigy. Naturally, half health isn't great, nor is having to rely on limited consumables to remedy it, which is why I'm very fond of a ring you can find at the beginning of the game, which limits the health reduction to 3/4 of your max health, which isn't too bad. So I just always have the ring equipped and completely ignore the health reduction and human effigies.
@@lucas_lipp yo, wtttf? That's a crazy mechanic... so are you saying that using the Effigy fully resets you to max health, so each death after that only lowers your max health incrementally again? Or say, if you were at half max health before using the Effigy, and then you died, would you go straight back to half max health? And if so how common are the Effigies?
@@fozzythasalesman6125 Every death is a loss of like 5%, I think. So when you use an effigy, your health resets and it takes like 10 deaths to be back at half health. Effigies are fairly common, I think I had like 40+ lying around in my inventory when I beat the game, and I didn't even do the dlc or a lot of optional bosses. So I'd they're common enough, but not so common that you can just spam them. But really, it sounds much worse than it actually is, especially if you equip the ring.
@@lucas_lipp oh okay word, that doesn't sound so bad. When u compared them to embers I was thinking that the effects fully reset when you died, but if each use fully resets your health and they're as common as you say (from what you described, sounds like they're roughly as common as embers in DS3) then that doesn't sound that bad. Still, sounds like kind of a pointless and annoying mechanic, I think the Souls system and just having to run back to where you died is plenty to give weight/value to dying imo
It's personally my favorite of the 3 but I can understand why people don't like it with all the traps and enemies throughout the entire game. That said, it was the first Souls game I ever beat and thoroughly prepared me for all of the other Soulsbornekiroring games lol
@@Trisaaru the fact that you have to waste around 30 levels just to get the same dodge frames as ds1 is garbage also doesn’t change that hitboxes don’t match the attacks
@@brodaline2124 You don't need to waste 30 levels to get a good roll. Although the fact that something as important as dodge roll s is tied to a stat is a bit stupid, you earn so many souls in DS2 so it's not the worst thing in the world. It would be way worse if you earned the same amount of souls you do in DS1, for example.
2 is definitely not a masterpiece. It has its pros, and there is plenty of stuff it does right, but there is just SO MUCH it does wrong. The horrible enemy placement, lackluster level design, incredibly underwhelming bosses, awful looking animations… I still ultimately think I like this game, but you can really feel how unfinished it is with its turbulent development.
@@tropicturtle9021 Yeah, not as good as the other two games, but still a masterpiece in the end. Once you got past the hitboxes and areas it didn't have much holding it back. In the visuals and story it was a masterpiece. But controls and mechanics, not so much.
definitely 3, it just feels nothing after finishing it, feels like fromsoft just smashing money into their favourite child and force him to be a youtuber
I call bullshit on that statement every time I see it. If you think that ds2 movement is worse than ds1, then you're just fanboying hard. It's leagues better than the original.
@@justinphillips8282 you can say whatever you want im giving you one reason why people don't like it. Compared to its closest cousins DeS and DS,bloodborne changed movement for DS3 and Elden Ring, it feels completely different. If you Started with DS2 maybe it doesn't feel that way for you and that's fine. It has a myriad of other issues, but also introduced things that were carried forward-having to find more flasks the equipment menu style and using multiple souls at once. Just because you love the game doesn't mean other people can't have reasons for disliking it. I liked my first playthrough of it, but every time I go back to DS2 I find the experience miserable because of the character movement. I'm sorry people hate your game, but if you keep hearing these criticisms of your a game you love then denial is not going to convince anyone other than yourself
@@justinphillips8282 no he has a point, animations take longer to do until you level to get agility up (then its still takes longer but isn't an issue since you relatively speaking become faster compared to the slow DS2 enemies) and the target lock is worse when doing melee attacks while moving since attacks go in direction of travel rather than the targeted enemy.
I can go down a list but one of my main problems with this game is just the overall feel when you're playing the game as in like your character and the hitboxes are atrocious
With low ADP the game is very annoying, few frames of invincibility and the fact that the character tastes every drop of Estus Flask can get in the way, eventually it ceases to be a problem fortunately
@@themarushin The animations hitboxes and the overall constricting feel of the movement is my problem with the game. Leveling agility does nothing to help that. I have over 800 hours and have completed The main game plus the DLCs and this is by far the worst dark souls

I never hated ds 2 but my problem with is was the main combat speed. After dark souls and getting used to it I felt that the weapons and movement were smooth but delayed. But I did enjoy it after getting used to it
Most the hate for ds2 came from youtubers who were very vocal about all the faults and the fact that it wasnt just more dark souls 1. Its not as good as the first game, but it does have many huge improvements and a much higher variety of viable builds and a more diverse PvP scene. Its a great game by itself, its just not Dark souls 1 number 2.
its better, stop lying to yourself, i recently played both and ds1 is infuriatingly limiting in so many ways. ds2 was liberating, and ds3 even more movement wise. after i picked up the crystal halberd against ONS i no hit them. and i didnt kill capra demon yet. its easy witht he right weaponbileven with the shit show of a "balance that was ons.
A lot of the hate came from DS2 not being headed by Miyazaki and an unwillingness to understand how i-frames work. You can literally beat the game with just 5 i-frames (whereas DS1 and DS3 have 11-13 frames) and dodge 99% of the attacks if timed right.
@@skinless5136cap it got some of the biggest issue and the most boring map ever is a straight boring line and myazaki fan boys alweys preys ds3 without admit it have problems loll
I think it gets the most hate because the broken hit boxes from that new stat they added. I also feel some of the areas are just a nuisance like black gulch. But aside from that I do think it gets a lot more hate than it deserves.
@@Battleguild I think dark souls 2 is a great game, I just don’t like how there is a specific stat to increase s. In all the other games it goes by equip load but in dark souls 2 you have to worry about agility. The hit boxes are definitely more broken than all the other souls games though. The 2 biggest examples that come to mind are sir alonnes grab attack and fume knights attacks.
@@vini5095 The grab attacks are also horrendous in the other games, the only issue with DS2's grab boxes is that it's easier to stand inside the hitbox than the other games, since grabber is often idle before the grab attack. If you're also including the "yoink" effect with DS2's grabs, that's not a hitbox or i-frame issue. DS2 for whatever reason, doesn't cut off animations when a grab is registered at the moment of impact, instead it lets whatever current animation is going before proceeding to the grab animation. This is what causes the weird grab relocating effect that the other games don't have. Rami's attacks can be consistently dodged, even with low I-frames. I did his fight with a level 1 character. Technically there are two stats that affect I-frames, the second which is Attunement, but has smaller benefits towards it per level.

@@kiragai808 i love the ringed city, but ds3 took a dozen steps back, gameplay and pvp-wise. People just tend to ignore em because they‘re high on member berries. Ds3 has barely any personality of it‘s own and is just a glorified ds1 clone.
@@zawarudo8991 step back? Tf do you mean? Ds1 clone? Bruh my man ds3 has the fastest and best combat in the ds games by far, it also has (at least in my opinion) the best level design in a souls game, rarely I needed to check the wiki because I was exploring every bit of ds3 levels always finding something new, it also has by far the best fight in all of souls like games, like just 2 of them are bad, it also made weapon arts truly stand out for the first time in the series(even if a lot of them suck tbh), also many people when they say ds3 is a ds1 copy don’t understand that ds3 is supposed to be a sequel and you know it should be related or be a continuation of a story. People who hate ds3 probably either 1) have skill issue and never got good at it or 2) think ds3 linearity is so bad it makes the whole game crumble apart(which really isn’t a big deal)
@@Professionalidiot504 making a sequel is no excuse to constantly revisit old locations. And just cus there are improvements, doesn‘t excuse the set backs and making old mistakes again. Remember lost izalith? Remember anor londo? Remember the swamp? Remember artorias? And the list goes on and on and on. Where is the originality? It‘s just too much reused stuff that‘s been used for member berries. Saying "skill issue" in response to criticism just makes it fall on deaf ears. I played the heck out ds3 and never felt the satisfaction I got from ds2 simply because a lot of it‘s heart was missing. Barely any replayability beyond upgraded versions of rings, lackluster covenants and multiplayer, making the magic system either weak or boring to play. The return to the ds1 character set, removal of the power stance, blocking with an offhand weapon-(just why??), incentivizing roll spam by making rolls consume almost no stamina. Yeah the combat is faster but that doesn‘t make it better, there is little strategic play in pvp beyond using cs r1‘s, you are barely able to punish most moves because the recovery is made faster due to faster combat speed. All these things could have been avoided had the game taken another year in the oven or taken a different approach. Ds2 may not have been to your liking but at least it told it‘s own story with new philosophical implications, aldia ftw. Meanwhile ds3 endings are just the exact same as in the first game just with a new paint job. I love the dlc‘s simply because they explore something new, while being in the same universe. Why did we have to wait for dlc to see the ringed city if we could have explored a more fleshed out version in the base game?? I love gael‘s story to hell and back, the dlc redeems the game for me ever so slightly. And I know that ds2 would not be the same without it‘s dlc‘s either but I hated how ds3 replaced ds2 while having so many avoidable problems. Hell, I dropped ds3 for elden ring, and even elden ring has a F-ton of problems even though it‘s proclaimed as "Ds2-part 2". Fast combat, but it feels like we are still in ds3 while fighting enemys from bloodborne. Also no meaningfull covenants whatsoever, they didn‘t even try.
Ds2 almost feels designed for doing an illusory ring run. No bonfire run made me appreciate the map, npc and item placement as they made so much sense.. and you get some cool rings at the end 😊
Three main reasons: Bad Hitboxes Poor confusing level design Too many cheap deaths (EG hiding a one shot enemy that brakes though a door instantly killing you)
@@johnny8363 You honestly think I didn't try that? Even with that ADP levelled up I still had the animation snaping where Id clearly dodged an attack only to be teleported onto the end of a sword.
@@ultgamercw6759 yes I think, with maximum agility (about 25 adp points) you have the same i-frames as DS3 and with 20 ADP (about 99 agility) you already have almost the same i-frames as DS1 Not being able to dodge attacks is no longer the game's fault once you have enough ADP. All 3 games have problematic hitbox mainly for grab attacks and bullshit range weapons, It's as common to be teleported to Gundyr's hand as it is to Sir Alonne's sword by a wrong dodge
DS2 did the best job of variety of items, I’d also say it has pretty good Dark Drip, and I also think it has some of the best (and worst) areas in the souls series
"A masterpiece!" Go on then, IGN, give it a score. DS2 is not a masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination, my guy. It's at best a 6.5/10, maybe a 7 if you're stretching.
To me, who finished DS3 an infinite amount of times and DS1 not having so much replayabilty, DS2 is my game to goto since the game is too big and have too many bosses. Majula is the best hub area and its ost is an absolute banger
@@DrunkedOwly i think he means for a game that wasn't fully 'open world' there are a lot of options, even ds1 was more linear than ds2. Elden ring is advertised as and built around the idea of being open world. Btw i love ds2
I think Ds1 has a lot of replayability. A potential progress route would end up like this if you start with the master key. First half Asylum demon-> pinewheel-> Sif -> 4kings-> bell of izalith/bell of church-> Sens fortress->ornstein&smough. 2nd half Nito, Seathx2, Bed of Chaos in any order and then Gwyn. Notably ceaseless discharge and centipede demon are skipable or optional if you prepare for that. The only fixed parts is asylum demon, gwyn and the progress between sens and anor Londo. Most things can be done out of order or after getting the lordvess.

The main thing that separates DS2 from the other Souls games is the pace you're intended to keep. Dark Souls 2 is meant to be taken s l o w l y. Once you slow down, and give in to the experience, it's one of the most rewarding games ever made.
For the most part, the game's "zones" are very open, I think that's intentional to the play style in giving you time to plan and plot your approach
The droning music, the pace of the NPCs speech , and even the representation in Vendricks trudging march, the game is saying a lot without saying anything. "Hopeful apathy" might be close to the feeling
The depth of this game is incredible.
(I'm probably preaching to the choir here, but hopefully someone that's on the fence about DS2 might get inspired to give it another shot)
Plus: NG+ has added content.

Wait what? Why would u only have 3/4 or 1/2 of your health for your whole game? I haven't played DS2 yet so I don't know
@@fozzythasalesman6125
Every time you die, you lose a bit of your max health.
@@fozzythasalesman6125
Every death is a loss of like 5%, I think.

@@vini5095
The grab attacks are also horrendous in the other games, the only issue with DS2's grab boxes is that it's easier to stand inside the hitbox than the other games, since grabber is often idle before the grab attack.

I love pretty much everything about this game. Definitely my favorite of the trilogy
All I hear is get good get good ds2 was the most beautiful in the series the song haunts my soul and I will always love it my kids will one day have it as a hymn to fall asleep too and always wonder where it was from
I didn't even know the tutorials existed, I completely ran by them in my first playthrough
I felt a lot more lost in that one than the others and it was generally harder in my opinion. It was a lot slower than the first or third and had a lot more, specific mechanics. It wasn't a bad game, it just wasn't my favorite
It had a lot of random BS things you had to Google which i didn't like. For example, the poisoned area with the medusa boss. You have to light a random windmill thing and then it is easy.
The first time I played DS2 I had the same feeling, I didn't even have enough brains to beat the pursuer
But now, I've played this game so much and become so familiar with the mechanics that it's become my favorite game in the series.
It's a good game with bad elements. Overall I like it but it's obviously worse than DSI and III
nah ds3 sucks.
@@zawarudo8991 you’re kidding right
@@kiragai808 i love the ringed city, but ds3 took a dozen steps back, gameplay and pvp-wise.
Also no meaningfull covenants whatsoever, they didn‘t even try.
majula some times i just stand there listening to the theme and watch the beach
Ds2 almost feels designed for doing an illusory ring run. No bonfire run made me appreciate the map, npc and item placement as they made so much sense.. and you get some cool rings at the end 😊
DS2 is my favorite Souls game. Yeah. Something about it just hits different and I fucking love it.
Three main reasons:
Bad Hitboxes
Poor confusing level design
Too many cheap deaths (EG hiding a one shot enemy that brakes though a door instantly killing you)
Bro, just level up your ADP, with 5 i-frames the game's hitbox is just as bad as the other 2 games
@@johnny8363 You honestly think I didn't try that? Even with that ADP levelled up I still had the animation snaping where Id clearly dodged an attack only to be teleported onto the end of a sword.
@@ultgamercw6759 yes I think, with maximum agility (about 25 adp points) you have the same i-frames as DS3 and with 20 ADP (about 99 agility) you already have almost the same i-frames as DS1
Not being able to dodge attacks is no longer the game's fault once you have enough ADP.
All 3 games have problematic hitbox mainly for grab attacks and bullshit range weapons, It's as common to be teleported to Gundyr's hand as it is to Sir Alonne's sword by a wrong dodge
Still a great game despite these undeniable flaws
The music is fire
The issue is adp, it feels so bad everyone just quits before caring
Ds2 has the craziest pathing ever the enemies will follow you forever.
DS2 did the best job of variety of items, I’d also say it has pretty good Dark Drip, and I also think it has some of the best (and worst) areas in the souls series
This games amazing. It’s actually a masterpiece. Idc what anyone says I love it. Truly a 9.5/10 game.
9.5 ain't a masterpiece
@@jefftakesdscakes30 only a troll would say something like that. Lol
@@DrewSpacely a troll would say idc what anyone says after being different
"A masterpiece!" Go on then, IGN, give it a score.
DS2 is not a masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination, my guy. It's at best a 6.5/10, maybe a 7 if you're stretching.
@@mrbubblestea read the initial comment dude. “Idc what anyone says”. It’s a masterpiece. Git gud. You sound angry. Lol
I started with two. And I never knew those random creatures at the start chased you 😮. DS2 is still my favorite
Entering Majula after the tutorial is breathtaking. I stood there looking at the scenery for a few minutes.
Dark souls 2 was never bad, people just jumped on a bandwagon
Stop assuming everyone jumped on a bandwagon, the game is just dogshit.
@@broccolin - someone whos never even played it
@@fin3662 Unfortunately, I have played the game.
@@broccolin well im glad you were able to enjoy the incredible game of ds2 with all of us
The games too clunky and level design is mid
To me, who finished DS3 an infinite amount of times and DS1 not having so much replayabilty, DS2 is my game to goto since the game is too big and have too many bosses. Majula is the best hub area and its ost is an absolute banger
Having the argument of being too big, how has elden ring stood then? Should suffice that quite easily
First half
Asylum demon-> pinewheel-> Sif -> 4kings-> bell of izalith/bell of church-> Sens fortress->ornstein&smough.
2nd half
Nito, Seathx2, Bed of Chaos in any order and then Gwyn.
Notably ceaseless discharge and centipede demon are skipable or optional if you prepare for that.
The only fixed parts is asylum demon, gwyn and the progress between sens and anor Londo. Most things can be done out of order or after getting the lordvess.
@Kari Legion There are videos of people rolling through the lava area. I think you are mistaking it for Demon Firesage.
Majula is just perfect
