So the real reason Lois keeps ditching her chemotherapy is because she is afraid that no matter the result, whether she survives her cancer or not, she will never be herself again.

That's actually a common way of thinking with cancer fighters and survivors

Korra and Walter weren’t the same people but their traumas and setbacks made them stronger than the people they were. People grow from these experiences cancer is something to get over when you are more than your bodies.

My mother had a similar experience. She was terrified of the weakness that chemo would force on her.
In the end, it didn’t even matter. Even as she railed against her illness, the treatment did as much damage to her as the cancer.
That’s the tragedy. Cancer and Chemo both kill your body.

I want to catch up I only watched the premiere of this season but my mom just had major surgery & getting over her cancer she’s been having taste bud issues & feels hungry but can’t eat & loses energy fast but it’s only been a month since her surgery but she’s still getting out everyday & I do everything I can like cook for her I drive her everywhere & walk next to her incase she feels like she can’t make it but this scene hits home for me cuz I feel like Clark telling my mom that I know I’m going through this with you but I’m not feeling what you’re feeling physically only mentally cuz it’s killing me to see her like this especially cuz she had a bad appendix surgery in 2020 & she was in bed for a few months!
She still might get chemo even though they say she is clear & good but I’m alone & I have no one to help me I have a bad back from when I broke it in 6 places so I lose energy fast too now I have to take care of my mom our house & our 2 cats & it’s a lot of work when you feel physically & mentally drained & all you want to do is hide under the covers!
My sister & mom do t speak they had a falling out years ago but my dad told my sister what she was going through but still no phone call or text! I know she’s mad at her for whatever reason but you find out your mom has a gallbladder removed a hernia fixed & 17 lymph nodes removed out of the pancreas area & still nothing?!?
My heart is shattered I just don’t know how much longer I can hold on by myself but I’m always bummed out & depressed & been drinking liquor & smoking weed a lot to numb the pain cuz I’m alone in this & my dad lives in Florida we’re in Maryland so he can’t & probably wouldn’t help other than if we needed money but I just wish I had someone to talk to!! 😞😞😞😞
Sorry for the rant but this scene made me have some feelings!!!! 😭😭

I totally understand you. Sometimes being a care giver when you're not a 100% yourself can be tough.
I really hope you both recover fully and speedily. Sending hugs and prayers your way
