I was in the audience for this performance and I could not take my eyes off this performance from beginning to end! I couldn't even blink! The entire audience was chanting for Bambie the entire night! Bambie is going to slay at Eurovision and Ireland is so proud to have them representing us this year!

I watched the Irish show and I really liked it a lot. It was so different because the space looked like a studio where you would usually have a small interview or something, not a Eurovision Song Contest. But that gave it a really intimate vibe, almost like Ireland is one big town where everyone knows everyone and they are very supportive of each other. It`s so interesting, watching the nationals, to get an idea about each nation, based on the vibe, commercials during the break, performers, audience, etc. Ireland from now on seems to me as if Moldova and Norway had a child :D I tuned in just when Bambi Thug were in that red light part of the song and was blown away by how theatrical it looked. Def a theatre show I would enjoy very much watching. Made me laugh, the performance, but not because I would find it ridiculous, it was just so joyful in a very quirky way. And then when the commentator was interviewing Bambi Thug after the performance- I witnessed one of the the most genuine interviews of any Eurovision performer I`ve seen. So far probably my fav entry this year. I mean I like many other songs per se much more, but the entire show- Bambi Thug.

Actually, the symbols are runes. Common among Goths 😊
Ogham - pronounced "oh-am" (the 'g' is silent) is made up of lines etched on the edges of standing stones.

The Éirevision podcast people were in the audience and said that everyone was singing along, and really in to it. But they cut the audience noise for the broadcast, and also the floor manager told people to not react physically, because they wanted to keep things neutral for all the acts. Which is kinda dumb when you have a panel giving their opinions too, but anyway, that’s why everyone was so staid looking. Apparently the audience was mainly just family/friends of the acts and eurofans

I think you're thinking of Gothminister whose performance was a bit more camp. I think that falls into a more comedic bucket.
I might compare this more with Raiven & Gåte in terms of its dark themes. I'm feeling all these tracks, but I hope, if Gåte is chosen, they don't all perform in the same semi. I need Ireland in the final.

As a part of the Gothic scene I have to love this and to celebrate ecstatically, because Bambie Thug is giving us alternative people a voice and is speaking out for those who are different - not only in their musical tastes, but also in their worldviews and lifestyles. "Doomsday Blue" as a composition already delivers everything a lover of dark, enigmatic and slightly progressive music could ever dream of: The fusion of mesmerizing genres that originally shouldn't fit together but create a perfect mélange in these three minutes of the most beautiful fever dream, screams that are piercing marrow and bone, clean vocals that will haunt me at day and night even decades after Eurovision 2024, pulsating electronica that almost sound like they're emerging from a demonic realm, and a grand finale smashing the earth with heaviness and high energy!🖤⛧✨️🌙 # sendthewitch was successful , and I'm being honest when I say that I was bursting into tears when the results came in! Eurovision definitely needs diversity and outstanding acts, not only mainstream pop, and here we have some of the most special and profound art, evoked by an insanely creative, impressively passionate and instantly touching human being. Bambie was touching my soul through the screen, even in all the interviews - but the performance exceeded my expectations even on this small national final stage. Just imagine how this will look like on the big stage!🔥 I couldn't be happier: Not only to be represented and to have a voice I can wholeheartedly identify with at Eurovision, but also because Bambie deserves it. Everyone saw how well-deserved this victory was: On stage and off stage. The crowd was on fire for "Doomsday Blue"! And if I say that this is one of my happiest days in life, I don't exaggerate. This is not just another Eurovision act for me, this is an act that is expressing who I am. Bambie, CAST THE SPELL OVER MALMÖ!🖤✨️🌙⛧
