- 2024 Toyota Yaris HEV 130 HP has hybrid drivetrain with 1.5l petrol engine (inline-3) + electric. System power: 96 kW (130 HP), FWD, e-CVT. WLTP homologation figures: 3.9 - 4.3 l/100 km combined. I checked Toyota Yaris Hybrid130 HEV 2024 on a trip with mostly city driving, but also on country roads (sub-urban). Finally I achieved on ~28.5 km (~17.7 mi) distance such fuel consumption (economy): 2.8 l/100 km | 84.0 mpg US | 100.9 mpg UK. Time with combustion engine off (EV mode): 49:50 mm:ss out of 60:00 (~83%). See the whole trip review.
Used tyres: Bridgestone Ecopia EP150 205/45 R17 84W with - unfortunately - bad index of efficiency "D".

The new digital instruments plus the infotainment screen are giving the interior a much more modern and cleaner look in comparison to older models with the small and ugly "block".
I like it Analog but maybe I am old-school
Actually, I would prefer analog and head up display to be digital that would be the best combination for me.
@@ramonruegg8653Yes, the analog instruments are also looking good on the Yaris, at least way better than the half "digital" instruments on the pre facelift.
perfect small car
Probably the best small car
wow, lower consumption than my honda bike, amazing!
Can you test this car with smaller and more economical tyres. Thanks you for you great video
I will try
Hello, thanks for the videos, really do enjoy them! It’s a waste that I didn’t find your channel earlier, else I would’ve considered a Seat Leon (m-hybrid), am currently on a Nissan Note e-power, one full tank in city + highway to suburb is around 22km/l.
Would you by any chance be able to test the Honda hybrids that are e:Hev?
I am going to test HR-V next week :)
Considering bad tires really good result. I am wondering what is the difference between hybrid 116 and hybrid 130 on the same tires and in the same trim.

Dude... 2.8 liters at only 16 degrees outside temperature. I've already thought that if my Corolla Hybrid breaks down at some point, I'll get a Yaris. Even though I'm probably not far off with the consumption of the Corolla. It's always difficult to compare when you've never driven the same route before. Still a really good result!
This is why I call such movies: TRIP. If the presentation takes place near to Barcelona, I have to make test there, if the presentation takes place close to Munich, I have to make there a test. Comparable test are typical fuel consumption review, which are made in similar conditions and on the same roads, like this one: czcams.com/video/vo8wk8tELTg/video.html
Nice video as always!
One question, is the ev driving ratio representing the time with the combustion engine off?? I found a time difference at 7:43 between the ev driving ratio and your time with combustion engine off.
Thanks!
Yes, it represents time with combustion engine off. Did you see the "total [driving] time"?
Ye, you're right, I though that Total time was about the EV Driving Ration, but as you say, that's about the total driving time @@1001cars
TY!
😮👍 Amazing. How about Normal mode? 🤔
Do you find the updated 130hp car quieter than the pre-facelift 116? I have a 22MY Yaris Excel and am wondering whether to upgrade. Some say soundproofing is better (bonded windscreen etc). Also, if you use the built-in satnav but have Spotify on your phone, how easily can you bring up the Spotify controls without losing the navigation?
Mi pueblo Vilanova i la Geltru! jaja
Do you recon the clio e-tech could get the same result? Because I’ve never seen these numbers on mine
Clio e-tech can be really efficient, but not as much: czcams.com/video/-lis0APaoaA/video.html
Looking forward to the real world MPG numbers for motorway!
I will make it as fast as I can.
@@1001cars fantastic!
It's not bad but not optimal, I had Yaris hybrid and recently switched to the Toyota corolla, Corolla has been just as good in regards of fuel consumption with mixed driving on highways and the city, I never could get the advertised numbers on my Yaris hybrid, on both I'm hitting around 4,5l-5L/100km
But to be fair the yaris hybrid was 2013 maybe they have gotten even better since then.
If I mostly did City driving I would definitely opt in for the Yaris
My hero for over 10 years. Getting the blue one soon.
It is crazy.
very good
Will we see the test on 100-120km/h on autovia? How efficient would it be?
It will not be significantly different compared to the previous version: czcams.com/video/wY5jLnC9YNU/video.html I am going to check it soon of course
does it beep a lot when you go over the speed limit?
I can live with that :) It is quiet in my opinion.
2.8 consumption is probably thanks to driving mostly downhill. What do you think? What can you expect if you drove straight and there was traffic?
Did you recognize that I came back to almost the same place? I made a round :)
Man how can you achieve that? Noone has such a low fuel consumption like you have!
you must constantly predict when you will need to slow down, so you use as much as possible regenerative braking. Also you must accellerate within ECO range. I can confirm, by driving C-HR hybrid, that such low consumption is achievable
most of the drive is super slow and smooth - average speed is only 28 km/h
Typical scenario and avg. speed in a city and small villages :)
Is this 130HP version more economical than the 116HP or about the same?
More less the same.
Please try new Peugeot 208 hybrid
Should be nice 😬
very nice car, but starting at 24000 euros for a hybrid it's just too much.
i would buy it for 15k euros.
0-100 please
I am going do that as soon as I can
@@1001cars thanks, try using launch control
@@giannisvasiliou4857Launch controll... Good joke.
@@lasselasse2440 it has launch control though lol
@@giannisvasiliou4857 Even the GR Yaris doesn't have launch control. The racing version of the Yaris... With over 260 hp.
you have two fuel range meters, one on the left and right, the one the lefts starts at 588km and ends the trip with 616km and the right starts with 638km and ends the trip with 619km, what does it mean?
according with your l/kmh consumption and the 36l capacity of the tank you would have1285km range which nearly matches those numbers.
I want to add that your consumption figures will be always 1, 2 or 3 tenths worse because you start downhill, to make a fair assessment you would need to end up where you started.
Consumption figures will be always better if you start the trip 200 m above sea level and end at 50m.
On the left side you have ODO meter, on the right side fuel range.
I think I started uphill, the consumption after 1 km is still more than 6 l/100 km. I finished the trip in almost the same place where I started. There was a 200, maybe 300 meters distance between them. Also, I was on the same roundabout :)
Jak miałem go schłodzić?
The test took place in cities.
Again 1 hour to drive 28.5km, in an hour in highway at 120km i can do nearly 100km and if it is a very efficient diesel under 4l. for sure. Not impressed by these cars
I can do better with a bicycle.
Show me :) Show us how you get from the sub-urban to the city CENTER with avg. speed 100 km/h :) Especially with less than 4l/100 km at such avg. speed. I really want to see it.
