Congrats to JDCR, always nice to see him play armor king competitively
Seeing this Jdcr vs saint...just gave me nostalgia🤩
I dont think people understand the significance of this Grand finals. These 2 players Saint and JDCR are probably the most evenly matched players to compete against each other. Also, in 2017, these two players dominated the Tekken world. The only player to take then down was the GOAT Qudans. To be honest, Saint and JDCR are probably the biggest reasons that Tekken7 took off like it did.

@@echo8168 Lol no, Knee was hella in a rut in 2017 and was doing terrible. He didn't start getting his grove back till 2019.
@@Lbdataz1469 nay. He got his skills back in 2018 when his win rate was over 90% and he's also been winning more than 90% of all the tournaments he attended back then. 2019 was more like a year for pakistan rather than knee, though he did perform well even then.
@@onevision1598 man... looking back, how hype it was when Pakistani arrive and bringing their meta to the scene. Arslan in particular, his Kazumi was nuts back then.

Good to see them on their main characters. But I miss that part where they always met on Grand Finals of every TWT way back 2017 using Jack VS Drag/Heihachi

Ever since qudans went MIA, I have never seen anyone play DJ lol, except for Knee on a couple occassions, and guess what knee lost everytime he went with DJ. You quoting all those times you saw DJ in tournaments is like saying I see Jack-7 all the time in tournaments. Yeah there was a time we saw DJ (just Qudans) but in current meta of the game its all Fahks, leroys, steves, Julias and Akumas

Everytime I see his name, I always want to see him win with Ganryu.
His Ganryu is so amazing... he adopted it to fight Koreans.
What I mean is, most of Ganryu's move is slow... I mean even the jab is slow.
And fighting against one of the people with the best reflexes in Tekken (jdcr), it's really amazing he stood a fighting chance.

Saint is a top-tier pro so it took JDCR a few matches to download him. After that, JDCR shifted to counterattack mode, and it was GG. What a legend.
I like that Ganryu is getting some representation. He is such a unique and fun character, fighting with his Sumo style.

I dont know why im always happy when JDCR wins it all. It makes me fee like hes the best tekken player of all time and he deserves to win everytime…. Maybe bcuz he is someone that i love watching him play tekken…. He may not be as good in online streams but when in touraments, he’s on a different level…. And what really impresses me is that he can make B Tier character like AK be a winning character…. I dont thnk anyone can bring AK to a high level of play like JD does….

He sure does. But has respect for the 2nd hit of both. Pretty small in terms of damage, but he doesn't wanna risk it coz a single hit can determine whose turn is it, and pros don't like giving the turn to the opponent in tourneys.
Choosing ez win characters are anoying, but watching good use of old gods like Armor King is top skills!
How is Ganryu easy to win with? Neither of these two characters are easy to win. They just have very solid fundamentals bruh.

JDCR Armor King is so fun to watch! Is there reason he doesn’t use the three stomp he always does 1 is not safe too do all 3?
He said 1- 2 stomps gives better frame advantage (and some respect frame since the opponent may expect the remaining stomps) so better okizeme, he chose that instead of the smaller damaging 2nd and 3rd stomps
Unless the 3 stomps kills he rarely does 3

@@veggieeater763 cd 1 after dark upper? He does it sometimes.
but because jdcr used dark upper mostly to whiff punish after a sidestep it became off axis a little bit
So uf3 is more consistent instead of cd 1 follow up (there's risk of cd 1 clipped through opponent if the opponent is off axis even in combos)

He said "there are some scenarios where lariat switches your opponent angle, so sometimes the same exact combos will not work depending on the position between you and the opponent"
I guess he doesnt want to take his chances in big tourneys where 1 combo drop can cost you the match

Armor King and King have almost no moves available to punish in the air. The damage is too low as compared to other characters after launcher moves.
What do you mean? Armor King always gets more than 70 damage off of his main launchers.
@@bookbagman7012what about Akuma, Devil Jin, Steve Fox and other characters. Armor King has nothing to punish in the air. The damage is too low in the air
@@hassansyed5661 you mean float combos? AK can always end his combos with moonsault for an unscaled 20 damage so his low parry and floats can do good damage as well. Also Akuma doesn't count when discussing damage as he has 100dmg+ conversions off of everything.
I don't like putting my opponents in Rage for this very reason. I leave them just right before they can get it and then wait for my opportunity to launch or sweep guaranteeing me a win.

Jdcr deserves all the credit for this W, he's clearly at the top of showing what AK is capable of. Let's just not pretend that Armor King didn't get some great changes
@@Guil_P The changes were pretty minor. Just a few more of his moves are safe on block and other frame changes, many other characters got the same buffs. He is still way weaker compared to his Tekken 6 and Tag2 versions.
@@777akis They didn't buff him they just fixed Ak's moves like making his FF 2 safe and give him proper combo on hi CH B1. AK is still not in top 20
