I just moved from the Tampa area to Chicago and I’ve been home sick. Coincidentally, y’all moved there when I left. I used to go to school near the sponge docks. I’m really enjoying seeing my home through a new set of eyes ❤️

I love this place! Mykonos I believe is the cafe that had the best espresso and Baklava! The Dolphin tour around there I took was AWESOME! I seen literally around hundred dolphins! 🐬
I was in Tarpon Springs several years ago. We went on a boat ride with a sponge diver dressed in the original outfit they use to have. The diver jumped off the boat & brought up a sponge he retrieved. Don’t know if they still do that or not. It was interesting!
Everyone knows you don't just go diving and automatically find sponges. You have to go to a guardian temple with night vision, invisibility, and water breathing potions (at a minimum). You actually go to find a mound of riches (gold) in the center of the temple and the sponges are just stored to the side and are handy to get a hold of. Saylor and Atlas should be naturals at this considering their names btw! P.S. You should get the kids into Minecraft just so you can convince them the game was based off real life history and that's how they used to get sponges lol!
We visited a few weeks ago and it was the best ! The food was awesome and the shops! We also went on one of the dolphin adventure cruises and saw so much! 10/10 experience totally recommend I hope you guys had a great experience
