This is the best video EVER on taking notes. I've been searching for a concrete strategy that's easy and neat to do for 2 YEARS. (Nothing worked consistently for me) Yours is the best! Thank you so much!
When I rewrite/organize my notes I use that time to study them as well. Rewriting notes actually serves as a study session if utilized.
I also use different colored pens, doodles/illustrations and whatever else helps me to absorb or remember key points and ideas.

I cant even explain how this helped me so much in school!! Last year I started taking my notes the way you show in this video and I had no problems in my notebook. I know! I am so nervous yet excited and I've seen my brother's homework. He's going to 8th grade and i know how hard it can be in middle school cuz of my brother. I have been getting straight A's since third grade but I know middle school has more difficult subjects and such and I'm the doodler who hardly pays attention so I want to get good grades so I need a way to take good notes. I am freaking excited and nervous.
Wynter Rose Heyyyyy!!! I have went to 6th grade, and it was SOOO fun! One of the best years of school! Some advice I have is to not be nervous about the grades, because #1 - ur brother can help u. #2 all you have to do is do it. Idk what im saying but trust me, do the work and don't slack off. That's how you get good grades. (doodling helps ur brain think or be creative btw)
for us 6th grade is nothing like 7th and i am going into 7th and i am soooooo exited and sooo nervous

if you're in college record what is being said in a class that way if you miss something that is said you can go back and listen, its also a great way to study, listening to the class and reading your notes at the same time.

My teacher talks REALLY fast and if we ask her to repeat (because we're taking notes) she won't and then she yells at us for "not listening to her" I swear she is a spawn of Satan (0.0)

Jill Cimorelli, my strategy for taking notes is different from you. When I write my notes, I have a hard time to shorten sentences to not write every word. When I highlight, I pretty much highlight almost all my notes, otherwise I would not catch my eye of understanding.
I'm going into 8th grade this year, and in seventh grade I didn't really try that hard, but I still got A's and B's. I'm going to try to get straight A's this year and I feel like your channel is going to help a lot!

I'm going 8th grade too and I really found it helpful because I'm going to be in a high class called AVID and we have to be very organized and I've been voted as liaison for another group called ASB .... And if your in ASB you need to keep your grade above a C so yea I really need to concentrate for 8th grade ..💕

This is so helpful!!! My school provides MacBooks and some teachers make us take notes on the computer which sucks because if I don't write it down I'll forget it. But this gave me the idea of rewriting them later. This is a lifesaver!! Love your videos!

One of my teachers is messy as fuck, when she explains something using the board, you literally stop paying atention to the class for 10 seconds and you get really confused when you see the board

My teachers make us write very squished and loads of different topics on one page because they don't want us to waste paper -___-
If that doesn't help you then don't do it like that

I'm starting middle school next year (7th grade) and we only have 3 minutes to get from class to class. My locker is on the other side of the school, Any ideas for not having to keep going to my locker?
+Dailys Helps Bring all the binders or notebooks you need for a few classes with you to your first class then when you have time put back the binders or notebooks you don't need in your locker.
My school has no lockers, and 2 minutes to get to class :(

I always think it's really helpful because, for example, if you're looking for something and you know it was towards the middle of the semester you can look for dates around march and find things easier. Just always works for me!

At my school we have to do "cornell notes" they're pointless and a waste of time
We don't have to but I'm in a class called avid and they seem to help
We have to use Harvard and Cornell.

my two best subjects are english and math. If anything, I would definately need to take science and geography notes. Let's see how long this lasts though. I'm only in 7th grade. Who knows how difficult this will be in high school, even classes in college

There is several videos on CZcams that help with handwriting! Mariana is one of my favorite CZcamsrs that helps with good handwriting.

just change the way you look at it
you don't have to show those notes to someone, its just for you
and the handwriting doesn't matter as long as you can read it
cuz in the end all that matters is grades and not your notes or handwriting
I know this is late, but it could help if you try a different writing utensil. I always used wooden pencils, but I started to use mechanical ones and my handwriting improved. Or else you could try pens if the type of pencil doesn't change anything :)

I think it's just what you prefer! either can smudge, so it's just what you're comfortable with.
Dividers are what has tabs that separates sections of notes, etc. Or you can dive the sections with dashboards. that's what they are called: dividers - with tabs, and dashboard without tabs.
I do cornell notes with a combination of the kind of notes she takes. I like to use a table of contents so I number the pages too along with subject and topic underneath. I like her idea of doing the double spacing thing

Everyone has their own way of taking notes. For some people messy notes help them, and for other people neat notes help them. That is what I think people should understand about taking notes.

Even though I just found your channel it is going to be very helpful this school year . You have very good tips and tricks . I love staying organized during the school year but it always seem so hard because my bookbag get so junky because I just throw stuff in it . When we switch classes that's what it seems to get very junky so can you please do a video on how to keep your book bag organized when switching classes so much throughout the day.
