I've always loved GFR. I've listened to them since I was 10 or 11 years old, (1971-1972). I saw them open for ZZ-Tops around 1982. They were on fire. That was 1969 for me. Probably havenât heard this song for 40 years. But, every note, every riff and beat brought me right back to those times. When they were singing the part, âooh when my baby kisses me, chills run up and down my spineâ, I would sing, âCHILDREN UP AND DOWN MY SPINE.â In the mind of a child, thatâs what I thought they were singing. I love that he knows he loves the song and had no clue who sang it. That's a music fan through and through.
Also Eagles songs: âTake it to the Limitâ, âHotel Californiaâ, âOne of these Nightsâ, âPeaceful Easy Feelingâ just to name a few
By the time this song came out, they had dropped Railroad from the group name. Try the song We're An American Band.
Grand Funk Railroad!! Awesome group!! Great music! They rock!!đ€đž
This song makes you wont to get up and dance !! One of my favorites â€ïžđ»đ»đ»

@@DHARMN00 Might be their best song.
love that song
Foot Stompinâ Music should be one of other one song to hear
Hell yea, one of my favorite 'drivin' fast' songs!
Thank you for this. I've had rough week and I really need to lighten the mood. This is one of my favorite songs by grand funk! I love your upbeat personality! đđđ
You'll have that "These guys do this?!" moment with Three dog night too. --> Joy to the world, One, Mama told me not to come, and old fashion love song to name a few.
Grand Funk Railroad "we're an American band"
I love their covers, you should here their version of Gimme Shelter. Inside looking out was cover, Eric Burdon did the earlier one which was great but the song is a cover of Leadbelly's. They do a cover of Locomotion which is good but not my favorite song. They just bring their energy to everything they do.
It is really great to see these songs that I grew up with and have taken for granted get a fresh reaction.
Oh yes ,just some kind a wonderful,a top 5 band of mind ,always
Saludos de MĂ©xico â€
for a second I thought you might break out into a full on "Carlton"......lol
You noticed that too? I saw the "Carlton" followed by The Isley Brothers. Yep, Jamal got himself into a GFR frame of mind. Welcome to the Club Jamal!!! One thing you will notice Jamal is that Grand Funk has such high energy, their music dares you to keep your feet still. When the feeling gets to you, it's almost impossible to stand still. Once again, Welcome!!!
I Almost unleashed itđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł

Love Grand Funk Railroad. And Whoowee! It is So Much Fun Jammin with you. This Song... When I was young growing up, my siblings would be Jammin this tune... And I use to think it was a band of black brothers singing. I have always Loved this song. Ohh Maannn I just had to play your video again. Your reaction and dancing, that Big Ol' Smile lol. Good Vibes indeed. Good music and Good good time spent at home. Thank You Jamel!
You need to play this song every time your Queen enters the room. đžđ€đđ
I mentioned "I Can Feel Him In he Morning" on another GF reaction. Its almost a old spiritual type song. I would love to hear your reaction .
This is what I call âa skating rink song.â When I was little, I remember my brother helping me to learn to skate. One particular time, he was holding my hand when this song came on. When they were singing the part, âooh when my baby kisses me, chills run up and down my spineâ, I would sing, âCHILDREN UP AND DOWN MY SPINE.â In the mind of a child, thatâs what I thought they were singing. God bless my big brother - he never corrected me. LOL.
Showing my age, but I remember I couldn't wait for my 2nd grade class to end (every day!) so that I could play this record as soon as I got back home... something really special about this tune
Jamal.....your reactions are PRICELESS!!!! Keep bringing the great music forward!
i like how you roll, my friend....;.Love how you're diggin' Grand Funk Railroad. Peace brother.
Reaction reaction request for anything by BTO! Bachman Turner Overdrive
You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet!
Hometown band! Farner is a legend. The bass player's wife was the receptionist at my dentist many years ago. Go anywhere in Flint and you'll see the Grand Trunk railroad, then see any signs for it painted over to read Grand Funk.
That this group isn't in the Rock 'n Roll HOF is an absolute crime.
We're a American Band, Black Licorice to continue.

People Let's Stop the War
My mom had this on a 45 and it's the first song I ever learned all the words to when I was little.
First band I ever saw. Wembley. England 1975. Aged 15 with my older brother. Second row. Been rocking ever since.
you be jamalin'
You just might enjoy War with or without Eric Burdon.
Jamaica, I love how honest and appreciative you are with your reactions. It is such a breath of fresh air.
This song just hooks you so hard that it makes you go and forget yourself, and then that organ kicks in and it feels like the top of me head just blew off.
