Phillip and Beth were my all-time favorite soap couple. So glad they got together in the end. Tina Sloan was such an underrated actress. Lillian added such emotion to every story she was in. Well, except Maureen's death.
Marina's freakout over not knowing the last time she talked to Coop or what she said got to me. She was losing it and the actress did a really good job about portraying that emotion.
I heard that John Driscoll who also played Phillip Chancellor III aka Chance on The Young & The Restless is in the Military in Real Life. If the New Dallas had stayed on The Air, he would have been perfect as Lucas Krebbs (Bobby's Bio Child with Jenna Wade) that would have been cool.
Who can blame her for going with what she knows. That was the most sickest and the most "real" statement., and sadly from 1983 to 2009, Beth never had any stability. If you had told Beth in 1983 that "Mr. Spaulding" her Former Stepfather's Boss would be her Husband, she wouldn't have believed it. She also never learned to stand on her own two feet. That was a bad thing, the best man for her in my opinion was Lujack. He didn't grow up in The Spaulding Cauldron and he didn't buy into the "I'm A Spaulding" Syndrome.

God, Alan's Weddings have always been a disaster. Annie getting Arrested, Olivia Kissing Phillip before the Ceremony, then this with Beth. Also, Rick made a Mistake, he called Lillian "Olivia".
The show finally found its footing with the new model-shoot. No shaky camera, awkward closeups. The writing / stories were very good too, in my opinion. I do agree...Beth and Alan should have never happened. What were they thinking? Enjoyed this episode. I believe the show went off the air not long after this.
Shouldn’t have, but to be honest Alan & Beth were the only reason I watched the show in the last few years. But this production value was awful. I remember this like yesterday.
Been trying to find out what happened to my favorite characters...but everything on you tube is out if order...Riva, Josh... Josh cloned Riva!!! then Riva Drives off a bridge and is a ghost...what happened to Josh and Riva!!! Then I saw Phillips funeral a few minutes ago...and I guess he wasn't dead??!! Or is this before Phillips dies???!!! I couldn't see my favorite soap after 1987...

What is this ridiculousness?? Beth and Alan?? I stopped watching back in the early to mid 90s, been catching up and am dumbfounded by a lot of the writing and what's with this filming style and all the outdoor footage? Wow, not the show it once was near the end was it?

I hadn't watched GL in many years when I started watching it again toward the end of it's run. This story was heartbreaking.😪

It's funny watching these episodes now, They are far from perfect but the production values were much better than I remember. RIP GL.

I couldn't see my favorite soap after 1987...
Phillip was shot by Alan in 2005 but it was never really confirmed until he popped up from the dead in this episode.

I hated this version of GL. I loved Phillip. I loved Alan Spaulding. But this fake set/ outside scenes were just an embarrasement.
