midd lush you can actually use any fabric that's stretchy. I used scuba because I like this particular one it's really soft. You can use Duchess tooo

Precious Mountains you have to first sew it to the top of the turban cap using needle and thread so that you have space to turn it, if it's not looking as you want it, then add another ruffle and turn again

Joy Chumex yes you can use any stretchy fabric for the cap but I don't know how the design would come out with lycra material

Thanks so much, i understood your lecture better thank others I’ve seen so far. What is missing for me is the measurement that inspired what inches you cut out.
Everyone is always using 12” but so far have not explained why that exact measurement. I remember you saying at the end that you head is bigger than the mannequin hence the reason it’s big on the mannequin
What measurement do I need to take to make sure it fits my head. I’ve got a low cut but I need to make a firm fitting turban for my head.

OLUFEMI ADU many thanks. I think I didn’t ask my question properly. I’m aware of head circumference but the question is why did you use 12” on fold is it because your head circumference is 24”?
After watching your video, I watched another turban tutorial and she explained further by advising we need to take our head circumference to know the width of the material and the length is between 10-12” standard

Yes I folded in two and measured 12 because my head circumference is 24. If I am using a fabric like Lycra and my head circumference is 24, I would fold fabric in two and use 10 or 11 inches instead because lycra has mor elasticity than scuba. I hope you understand.
