I got Maxicalc for ipad, it's only on Ipad and not iphone or Android. I love it as it is like one of those accounting calculators. Theres plenty of standard and specialty calculator apps on there. Heck I'm more excited about the weather app and stage manager than a calculator app.
Give them a few more years. Today's technology isn't mature enough to support that kind of thing yet.
Personally I use Desmos because it does most of the hard work for you. For example if you want to simplify a fraction just type it in and press a button on the side of the type box and boom, it simplifies it for you. And you can have multiple equations on your screen.

Stage manager is a game changer, being finally able to put windows on top of each other instead of just side by side will we so much better for taking notes. Having one text open on top and writing below it on another while both have a „landscape aspect ratio“ instead of a „phone aspect ratio“ makes so much more sense for documents and everything else, really. I can‘t believe we had to wait so long for this.
Now we only need to have the option to toggle on a „free size mode“ so we can really resize the windows as we want, and apple stops holding our hands like we are children, and multitasking is finally where it can and should be on a device this powerful.
Yeah, I'm actually loving Stage Manager. My productivity has been greatly enhanced. Yet it feels distinctly IPad. I hope they keep refining it over time. I'm so glad that I upgraded to an M1 Ipad Pro.
can you still have two apps running beside each other in full screen like before if you want?

For me, the weather app _alone_ is reason enough to update. That feels like it has been missing for a long time, but to be fair… it really looks like it’s an awesome app and well executed, so IMHO well worth the wait.
I haven’t used stage manager too much yet but it does seem that I can have a better flow when I’m doing stuff for work. Finally an actual weather app. Appreciate the video
Just installed the update and tried the new Stage Manager. Like it a lot, being able to have several windows next to each other in case of multi tasking. iPad Pro is now becoming more of a very compact “laptop”……

Stage manager is also on the iPad Air 5th generation too for those who have that model
But must be 256 GB.

I love the idea of Stage Manager and I’ve had it on for most of my first day with IPadOS 16, but the way it moves the windows around is so frustrating that I’ve now turned it off. I just want the windows to stay where I placed them.
I like the Stage Manager would love to it getting further improved like windows are on Mac or PC, One thing that bothers me is the Bold text on Lockscreen Clock, if you are not going to give us customizability on lock screen why change it from what worked already, at least there should be an option to edit the clock and date

Is there a way to disable the swipe up from left screen corner to take screenshots ? It’s so annoying when playing games in landscape and accidentally it swipes to take a screenshot instead of moving the character in game forward.

from the wwdc, stage manger looks amazing, but now seeing how you use it,,, it doesn't seem as intuitive. ill have to try for myself.

Hello I have lg 27up850 monitor and iPad Pro M1 chip 2021 model but when I connect to monitor I couldn’t get full screen support even though I updated to latest 16.1 software. Can u please tell what’s the problem and how to solve it ??🙄
Stage Manager looks promising but I've been playing with it for an hour and it just doesn't seem ready for prime time. I actually prefer the old side by side functionality from iPadOS 15.7.
One disappointing aspect is the lock screen font cannot be changed. I cannot see the font of the time properly. It’s too dark. I don’t like the font of the time on the lock screen

On the part where you are showing the I photos pulling the subject off the picture to copy and pasted it’s not working for my IOS 16 7th generation Ipad.
I updated my M1 iPad Pro 12,9 and the Weather app doesn’t look like in this video. On the left side of the screen it is the same with all the cities but on the right side it looks like a blown up iPhone weather app and not at all the way it’s presented in this video or even in the App Store screenshots. Can anyone help?
The photo feature doesn't work for me! I have a iPad Pro (10,5 inch) and I got the version IOS 16.3 so why doesn't it work?
If you change an extension from .jpeg to .png, I strongly doubt that it converts the file format.
I see some of these options aren’t available on the 7th Generation iPad. That’s too bad.

I might just wait for the change in lock screen before updating. The update is not that worth it yet. Stage manager might be convenient but not for me so ill hold on that update

Stage manager is useful
minor changes/bugs that isn’t bad but bothers me after installing iPadOS 16
-Files app doesn’t show how many storage I have left (this is difficult as a 32GB user)
-Shortcuts app open whenever I try to use split screen on an app with an “open app” shortcut
-Line grids on Notes app sometimes disappears whenever I write with my Apple Pencil
-weird un blurry part on top whenever clicking on an app stack also app stack is lower
-music on control center doesn’t show whenever I play a CZcams video
-undo on new tools on the Notes app is buggy
So far that’s it but I will probably find more

I am using 9th gen and my magnetic flip cover is no longer working. Can someone confirm if its working? There is no option of lock/unlock under display and brightness settings.
Stage manager should of been done for all iPads. My iPad mini 6 needs this.
The screen is too small for stage manager. The best for me for multitasking on mini 6 is a max of 2 windows only. Also apple need to improve on its multitasking such as vertical stacking(top and bottom) open windows when you rotate your ipad
