Thank you for bringing awareness to this. I also have sleep apnea, and was diagnosed two years ago. During my first test I had stopped breathing 140 times in the first hour. They told me that was a really high number, and that I shouldn’t be glad they caught it when they did. Ever since I have started sleeping with my CPAP, my nights are no longer restless.

I appreciate you making videos about sleep apnea and using the cpap machines. I had 108.9 events per hour and I probably had sleep apnea for YEARS and refused to get diagnosed and treated because wearing a cpap mask to sleep wasn't "cute" and I was worried about a significant other thinking it was unattractive 🙄 eventually I was like okay my life is more important than people judging me and the right person for me will care more about the fact that I'm breathing and not half dying every night than what I look like while I sleep 😂 I now tell anyone who complains about not sleeping well often that they should do a sleep study. But seeing your kids using them and not caring about how they "look" I feel like will take that stigma of it being "unattractive" away ♡
I can’t relax enough to sleep without my mask. I sleep so much better. I can’t imagine how to anode children, I often wonder if my problem wasn’t in my childhood as I used to sleep walk, nightmares, grind my teeth etc. I used to wet the bed too…. And didn’t understand til now! Wow, Tyty!

I use the same machine as Beckham and Luke (full disclosure: I'm 63 and have been on CPAP for only 6 years). Possible tip...I find if I sleep on my side (not on my back or stomach), in combination with CPAP, my sleep apnea is not as severe. Maybe ask your doctor or health care providers about this? (I apologize if you discussed and I missed it.) I have twin 20 year-old boys and thankfully they have no sleep challenges. Just discovered your channel and enjoy your adventures lots. 😊
I love seeing this kind of show I like to see more family then abound makes up videos or such planned or staged show look at your shows from before they were wonderful .and it always seems like pressly and paisley are in all of their sister’s videos.

I have sleep apnea and my machine has changed my life, I can sleep without snoring and sleep soundly through the night. Hopefully these kids will grow out of it. Wow, that was my favorite book when I was their age.

Hey Tiffany. I would like to thank you so much you inspired me to reach out to my parents to talk about sleep apnea, because I fit under all the symptoms, a few months ago I finally got my Resmed sleep apnea machine it has worked miracles. Thank you. You are an amazing person for helping me talk to my parents about my concerns. Also we found out I stop breathing 30 times a hour when I sleep

I hope this information gets to you as I also have sleep apnea and here are some things I have learned. If your kids are willing to try a full face mask they do leave marks but they go away with a face wash or an hour and there is less air pressure pushed so it is more comfortable at least for me. I know nose masks i tried but couldn't keep on because the pressure was to much.
Also anytime you get a new mask do not forget to do training with it during day at least for your youngest. The machine doesn't have yo be on just the mask during times like when watching TV helps them get used to it which in turn makes them use it longer.
Also it could possibly be the machine for some. Im not saying it is because I do not know your children but their is a quieter machine that is also touchscreen now made by resmed and heated tubing which helps so water doesn't drop on your face from condensation. I have been told people like it better by my doctors if you are able to replace machines. Of course always talk to your doctor because it is your medical.
I find i take my cpap off once my water runs out because somtimes it runs out during night and that is when it gets uncomfortable. Unfortunately I looked into it and there is no fix for the water running out to fast but maybe someday there will be.

I think something that would help Beckham want to finish his night chart could be using different stickers so that way he can have fun with his chart.

I have sleep apnea and wear a bipap. It takes a while to get used to the machine but now I wear it every night and feel so much better! The insurance should be sending you new tubes and masks throughout the year to change out more often. Also, i use a chin strap like DelaNee and it helps a ton

Something my mom thought me was to always put your lotion on after you take a bath/shower that way it keeps the moisture in your skin better.

I have a CPAP machine and have a hard time keeping mine on also and I'm 57. I wish I had someone to give me things to motivate me. I just got a brand new machine in the mail because mine had a recall on it. And I haven't set it up yet and I have had it for a few weeks now. My medical health is so busy right now I'm having trouble keeping up with the medical devices. I give myself 7 shots a month, take a handful of meds twice a day and have to take pills with 2 meals a day. My 3 medical devices are CPAP, glucose monitor and blood pressure machine all to be used daily. You are a very blessed mom to have 16 beautiful babies. Have a blessed week. ❤🤟🏼🙏🏼🦥

Hey Tiffany have you thought of inspire it’s a device like a pace maker for your heart but it’s put in your neck or chest and you just press a button before you go to bed and you don’t have to use a cpap. That might help

Your kid has the same problem as mine when I was a little. I have a sleeping problem in my breathing so my mom took me to the doctor and they discovered that I have a sleep apnea. I wish that all of your kid will be fine. May God bless you❤

I am 67 and was just diagnosed with sleep apnea last year. During the sleep test I had 67 episodes of not breathing. With the CPAP machine it's down to about 30.

I have sleep apnea and struggle some nights with keeping it on. We have tried different masks and i still take it off. Do the older kids get headaches or feel tired when not using it. Maybe discussing how the feel when they use it verus not using it. My husband and i talk about needing to make an alien mask that attaches to face at a certain time and you cant take off till a certain time. Keep working with them but dont make them feel too bad for taking it off because they are not fully aware they are.

I also have severe sleep apnea, I was told I stop breathing 96 times an hour, that scared me, since I started using the machine, my daily headaches went away and I stopped having to get up to go pee multiple times through the night and my throat stopped hurting every morning..... hopefully that will encourage your beautiful kidlets to use theirs more often, knowing they will feel much better after using it regularly. Good luck with them 😊
One thing I would NOT suggest doing to motivate them is doing what my doctor did and that is telling me that by not sleeping with my mask I could die at a much younger age. Although with Beckham not breathing 47 times a night that is truly dangerous so yes I would definitely continue to motivate him especially as well as Luke (if I remember right and he was also on the severe side).

I had sleep apnea when I was 3, I snored very loud sometimes, and I was silent some times. I struggled to breathe when I sleep. It scared my parents so bad. We got it checked out and it was my tonsils were way larger than average, they almost touched. They aren’t supposed to touch btw. I got my tonsils removed and it fixed it.

My dad is a psychologist and one way to get rid of sleep apnea is to breathe out of your nose. Breathing through their mouth can be deadly. I am glad you are taking care of them but try and have them breathe in and out of their nose ALL. THE. TIME. also you should read the book called BREATHE. it talks about all the stuff you need to know and they do lots of experiments with sleep apnea. see if that helps. your nose actually filters out all the bad stuff in the air so please exercise nose breathing and you will see immediate results.
