Love this! Too often we only see the finished product. I'm all about the journey of stringing and re-stringing and tweaking until you get it just right. In my experience, even a really loose shooter will cause your pocket to throw differently. I usually put the shooter in as tight as the pocket, maybe a little tighter, but leave it untied and throw with it a bit and let it find it's ideal tension naturally. Also, you might like some sort of nylon shooting cord instead of a shooting lace. Stringing is all about trying things and seeing what works. You can always re-string.

First pattern had the widest channel was inconsistent because the ball was going left and right as it was coming out of the head

I just watched a bunch of ecd tutorials , also patterns depend on the player and play style.

The first pattern looked good u should’ve just moved ur bottom string up a little or redone the last few knots to make it a little more shallow

It’s fine it just works better and faster without shooters
It is said to be more efficient with no shooters but it may not make a big difference

i got in the habit of stringing to the inside a couple years ago and after almost a full year doing it, I realized it isnt worth it.
I was not a big fan my first go round. But maybe i’ll go back to it later
