Your breakdown of the scent profile is spot on. I really don’t get a big citrus blast at all. It’s more of muted lemon that radiates in a very low key way. I get mostly black currant and cedar. It’s a very pleasant and has almost professional office vibe.
I have Cedrat Boise...it's like a kinder, gentler version of Aventus without being a cedar bomb!, just slightly too floral for me. A very high quality house!

Same! I just got it and sprayed it doesn’t smell at all like Aventis. I can’t tell if I like it yet. I’m a little concerned where I purchase from because it did not come in the factory box

@@marcusblack1203 I get about 5-6 hours out of it with moderate projection. I don’t recall getting any unsolicited compliments while wearing this fragrance.
@Marcus Black projection on what I go this week was very poor. More like a bubble just around you but you barely smell it.

Loving the new channel, Teddy! I’ve been through (and enjoyed) several decants of Cedrat Boise over the years, but held off to collect more challenging niche and classic designers. Over 5 years into this hobby, I’m now reconsidering adding a bottle to my collection. Partly because it’s a very wearable and enjoyable scent, but also because I’ve moved from a continental climate to a subtropical one where this one is sure to shine. Keep up the great work!
Thank you, Peter. Since recording this the new intense version has had more details come out. I would try a sample of that but I have enjoyed cedrat boise. Certainly one of my favorites from Mancera.

Definitely dont blind buy this or any fragrance for that matter. I purchased a sample sometime last year because of all the hype amongst the frag community, and I was underwhelmed to say the least. Does it smell good? Absolutely, but my issue was the performance. After about an hour, I literally couldn’t smell it. Maybe your mileage may vary.

And in case I really couldn't smell it anymore I simply sold it.
I bought this blindly after watching your video and man, I enjoyed it. The projection and performance are kindly of beastly that I devoured a lot of Mancera related vids and is now in the process of collecting some of them.
After been reformulated in 2020, does it still perform good with regards to longevity and projection?
I can’t compare it to previous ones as this is my first time to get a bottle of it. But, my intense Cedrat Boise order has just arrived and the performance, projection are better. If you have the EDP you don’t need the extrait.
Great one. It is a favorite of both Curly Scents and Curly Fragrance. I love it on my husband. Use Molecule 01 and 02 sprayed on top for improved performance.

After having used this fragrance for quite some time and a couple of bottles, I can say this is great stuff, on the edge of extraordinary, one of the reasons for that is the price and another is the performance.
This fragrance is definitely one of the first to check out if you are starting out in niche fragrances, and even after many years into this hobby, it’s still a great fragrance.
I own Aventus as well and even though I prefer the smell of Aventus, CB is way better when factor in the price. Great stuff Teddy, looking forward to follow you in fragrance journey along with watches
I have 2021 bottle (still screw cap), it's really long lasting more than 8 Hrs on skin. But projection is moderate from the start. One of my favorites as well.
Projection is the bad side really. It is barely there. But u can smell it on ur clothes even after a day. But others barely smell it on u.

I get a melange of lemon/bergamot and tropical fruits with spice and a strong woody/lightly smokey base.In addition to a sweet creamy vanilla that's not too heavy handed smells like a well put together affluent gentleman.
This is a mass appealing ultra high quality niche smell which has good performance this is a brilliant all season signature scent.Had this before the hype so I'm not just saying it to go along with the trend.
Such a solid fragrance. I have a 2018 bottle and enjoyed a lot. Leather, smoky, and little bit fruty. I prefer use this on cold days. Five sprays and last all day

Love this stuff man. I bought mine about 2 months ago and it’s already halfway. I recently picked up another bottle because it was on sale and because I know I’m gonna run through it quickly because it’s so versatile and you can use in any season. I wear this almost everyday 🔥👌🏼💯

I have Cedrat Boise your review is spot on. The sprayer is super wobbly and mine has totally come out with the juice coming out of the mouth with every spray. I personally don't like the scent as lemony smell last one for few minutes and then becomes a light musky leathery fragrance which gives me slight headache. Only 2 notes I get is citrus and leather.
Aoud lemon mint is amazing. Cedrat Boise top note is pinesol or lemon pledge. Glad I only bought a sample.
When I tried a sample of this frag on myself I didn't like it, but when I smelt it off someone else I really enjoyed the smell a lot.
I got myself the Hermes eau de citron noir and the opening is so good. But performance is defiantly a struggle, I can relate to the opening comment
Love that one as well. I have a bottle of concentre d'orange verte. Performance is below average for me still although a little better than others from them.
I see the scent profile of the original Cedrat Boise uses cold spices, whereas the Intense version uses hot spices and adds oud.
Just because a fragrance is labeled "intense" does not mean it's supposed to project or perform longer. It often means it's meant for more intimate settings, etc. The few people that have reviewed it have often said it projects less than the original Cedrat Boise. I think the Intense might not be as versatile for hot weather with the addition of oud.
That said, Cedrat Boise is fantastic. I only have a 2021 batch to speak of, but I am thoroughly impressed by it. Those who complain about longevity are either going noseblind or not keeping their skin moisturized. It's very easy to go noseblind to Cedrat Boise.
It's possible that the people complaining just received bad batches or bottles that were exposed to extreme heat for too long. My husband's 2021 bottle is extremely potent.
I find the old sprayer significantly better than the new one. I’ve 6 of the old and only one of the new. Guess which one gets stuck at the bottom of the spray

got a sample of this and I instantly was reminded of something I've smelled in the past.... no, not Aventus. something else. and then it clicked Hanae Mori. looked up the notes and there it was lemon, black Currant, Vanille....
Just bought blind. Love it. Fruity and a little effeminate but after drydown smells masculine and soapy clean. Definitely wood and moss. Slightly sweet. Smells like yacht money daytime aquatic.

I prefer Aventus over this they are similar almost like brothers... but still pretty different especially the dry down but for no i don't feel like i need CB since i already have and prefer Aventus... But im not that bothered about the super performance its summer and i don't want my fragrances taking my nose off lol

It is that bad. I have a 2022 batch, 2021, 2020, and 2019. People are correct when they say magnetic cap bottles suck. Twist caps are beast

Anyone thinking about purchasing this fragrance " should wait a tad bit longer and purchase the new CEDRAT BOISE INTENSE.
It's a lot richer and definitely longer lasting but has moderate projection ( nice scent bubble)

An amazing scent and compliment magnet. I own the older version (screw cap lid). When this bottle finishes I will replace it with either the same or the intense version once I do the comparison.
Sometimes at 4sprays i get a bit of a ashy burnt note. I like it at 1-3 sprays.
The close up style of shooting that use for watches lends itself very well to Fragrance bottles.
We have gotten lucky to be able to shoot some of the more interesting smaller objects out there haha
I layered the original with the intense Cedrat Boise yesterday and it worked beautifully in clement weather.
I used the intense as the base and the original on top. Great sillage and lasted all day, over 9 hours

Same thing with Red Tobacco. 2021 batches smell like straight Cherry Cough Syrup. So pissed, doesn’t smell like older batches. Not even close. I’ve heard this about all 2021 batches of Mancera frags.
Reading all the awesome reviews got me buy Mancera Cedrat Boise. Finally got it yesterday, but i was dissapointed once it started drying out and leaving too sweet scent on my skin. I wonder is it jasmin or vanilla that makes it sweet? Anybody else feel the same?

I've been following your watch channel for ages and although I'm also very much into fragrances, I've only discovered this fragrance channel of yours now in August of 2023...the YT algorithm definitely did you dirty and let you down by not recommending this channel earlier to me!

About the lack of performance, I've tried both bottles and I do have the newer bottle in my collection I do think that the performance in the newer batch is way better and the citrus notes stays in my arms for a little too much time. also The atomizer and the magnetic cap are on the spot basically i can't complaint
I believe in you more than anyone else because you are simple and different. Most, if not All other reviewers repeat the same damn vomit to us !!

With well over 100 fragrances in my fragrance wordrobe my 125ml bottle is more than half utilzed... I guess that means I must liken it and find it highly wearable unlike Aventus, which I find I have to be in the right mood to wear... Great take on a great Frag!
Great fragrance, seems to be better balanced if you spray a bit on clothes as well as skin.
I have sampled with that as well during the summer and had solid results. Very nice scent trail with this
@@BaldassarreFragrance it made me wonder if it had been developed to work well on a testing strip, or maybe it's just the way my skin tends to eat some naturals and amplify others. But I do remember walking into my office in the morning during the summer and smelling it in there from the day before... (I have a screw top bottle which I bought last year).

I kinda smell a bit of LB Roma uomo at the drydown and i like it😊 This one is definitely a better scent than cdnim or explorer, more natural. If u’re looking for a clone of A, u may stick to them or al haramain l’aventure.

Hello, I know this might sound like a bit of a strange question. But with having a woody dry down, does it smell musky? (B/o) I love clean, fresh fruity smells with a little depth.
Do the new Intense one please. It is highly rated and reviewed.
For the newer batches, let them macerate for some months (do abt 5 sprays, put it in the box and let it sit in your closet)

I blind bought this a few weeks ago and I'm wearing it right now. It's a lovely scent and my venture out from the safety of designers. Last time I wore it the fiance asked me what smelled so good when she entered the room. Easily has above average performance and that's why I have two more blind buys from Mancera on the way now. Red Tobacco and Instant Crush.

@@iFrankie. I'd say it projects really well for three hours or so before becoming closer to the skin and I think it lasts a full work day of eight hours. It was my first Mancera and impressed me so much I now have more Mancera bottles than any other house.

Love the smell a lot but it’s performance was not there for me. It barely lasted 4 hours I just bought it two weeks ago.

@@chriscampos7217 I spray the cedrat noise first then the molecule 01, I’ve seen a lot of people say the opposite but I feel like that way the molecule 01 gets pushed off your skin first, and the cedrat boise settles in. The iso e super is going to dry it out a little, take away the sweet fruity notes, but IMO just gets it closer to the Aventus neighborhood if that makes sense
@@TheToddNJ totally agree and I also recommend using Molecule 02 along with 01. Those two Molecule fragrances really improve performance.

Actually just received a 2022 batch let’s see how it goes! Apparently mancera is known for long lasting powerful fragrances so we’ll see. Have heard it’s been reformulated though I received the one with the magnetic cap

I ended gettin a vintage (twist cap) bottle off eBay for $150, cause I didn’t wanna take any chances, just too many says it’s much weaker. Twist cap last 10+ hrs

I just prchased this one and it is an older screw top bottle. I like the smell but it does kind of remind me of a deodorant on my skin
