Oh this mom gives my inner child so much peace and healing. My mother hated my hair, so she cut it like a boy for a long time to avoid taking care of it. I love it when parents of mixed kids take the time to know their child's needs. Great job mom!
I'm not mixed but my stepfather said my mom took too much time brushing my hair down to my buttwhen I was 4, so they a bowl on my head & cut it all off. My grandfather nicknamed me Butch cause I looked like a boy. I didn't get to grow my hair back until i proved I could take care of both little sisters long hair, washing, drying & setting. I really don't think my mom spent that much time brushing & putting my hair in pigtails. He just could not stand any attention not being on him.
It was cute but kinda messed up that they were laughing at him imo like why not stop and validate his fears until he isn't upset then continue 😳 I know my kids get upset if they feel like anyone is including if I'm laughing at them... Idk it was a bit mean and ya ya ik he clearly survived, it but kids never forget how you make them feel. ❤

We all do our best and we should validate everyone's needs, instead of hiding behind phrases like "its not that serious" "its just a prank/joke" etc etc.
The fact that not only is dad helping but it’s so nice to see mixed babies getting the love and care from the parent who doesn’t share the hair type. This is coming from a trained stylist. I am white but I have a few girls I went to school with who put everything into learning curly/coily hair and have seen the determination it takes when it’s not your own hair type🩷🩷
It's beautiful to see ❤ my grandson is mixed and I am doing the work to educate myself on how to care for his hair properly. He has beautiful curls and I want to make sure I keep his hair cared for the way it should be ❤️🤞🙏 love that this family has such a positive and amazing vibe. We need more happiness and love in this world 🙌☀️✨❤️🤗
