I love this very much. There is so much in here for me. I was so severely suicidal that within a 24hr period I would be pushed to the brink of suicide up to 30 times. This went on for 6 months. I didn't know if I was going to get through this time. I had absolutely no one during this time. But God.

As I learn, I find more understanding of God's ways. I have a desire to learn more. God has me following a path, I know my prayers are answered by his guidance in my life. I have no one to discuss this with so I can learn more. I do talk to God and my answers come in unexpected ways.

(Matthew 7:7-8) The Lord made all things, He authored it from beginning to end, and no one person he added to this world is forgotten, each hair on our heads is numbered, each soul He placed in our flesh bodies is known by name....call on him, he will never leave us nor forsake us. But be patient, God works in His own time and His own ways, seeing the universe from such a height of wisdom we cannot hope to understand, it gives us a chance to learn to have faith in Him as His plan for our lives unfolds before us and our prayers are answered in a way that would help us the most and glorify Him. My understanding of the Rabbi's lesson: Our life mission is to resist temptation (in this case to kill oneself), in order to weaken that particular temptation in the world. If we give in to that temptation, the power of that temptation worldwide is strengthened. If we give in to that temptation we have failed in our life mission, and we must come back to face that very same temptation again, until we overcome that temptation, therefore fulfilling our life's mission. Also, when a person fights the temptation to commit suicide, he is behaving heroically, he has bravely fought on to reduce the power of suicide over the world. Each person is sacred, each person's life is sacred. Each time a temptation is overcome, the world becomes a pleasanter, happier place because evil (the opposite of life and all its goodness) is overcome. No one asks for their mission, they are given that particular mission, in order to accomplish a great feat, that we would have thought too difficult for us. So G*D has great faith in us to achieve and overcome evil.

Da me je Hashem pitao dali želim da se povredim i sav izlomim ja bih rekao Ne, ali posle 4 godine borbe ja se zahvaljujem što je tako. Rabbi I respectfully disagree. I watched my grandfather suffer from intense dementia, paranoia and alzheimers. I saw the suffering in his eyes. He didn’t know where he was, who he was, who his family was. My grandmother and father refused to let him go when his kidneys failed, they refused to let him go when his digestion stopped and he needed a feeding tube. I saw a shell of a man I loved months before he passed. A gregarious, loving, kind hearted and strong Jewish soul who was yearning to be released from the pain inside. I agree that suicide is not the answer but there are times that even Hashem has to forgive a person for yearning to leave and be spared his pain. I would not wish the suffering my grandfather went through on any on living being. My own fear is to be placed in a scenario similar to that. My decision would be to not resuscitate.

Interesting... Even though I'm currently going through a difficult season(I hope it's just a season, but I really don't see the end...) my answer to the question at 23:40 would be a bit different. I'd just wanna know that it will worth the pain... Unfortunately God also ignored my request for kind of a cost-benefit analysis. :-/ and so even though I'm currently not suicidal, I fail to see the point of my life and/or care to struggle... Anyway... I'm in this mess because I trusted my christian convictions over what others said I should do, and now my hopes and plans for the future are all down the drain. Over the past 2-3 years I thought it through, and I'm pretty sure that knowing only what I did back then I couldn't have made a better choice, so I've decided that I won't make it easy for God, I won't quit! I can't move forward, so I shell be an example to God's glory, or God's shame depending on what he does with me. A living sacrifice... I think that's all I can do at this point.

"Make your enemies wait! I'm not taking myself out on anyone's dine, it would make too many people that hate me smile!" Too loosely quote.

Perhaps it is to overcome any and all temptation you feel drawn to. By overcoming and resisting that temptation you are doing your bit to reduce the power of that temptation in the world. I am by no means saying that you are racked by temptation to do any wrong. I am simply thinking of what the Rabbi said in the first half of this video (at this point I have only watched half way through!), that when we say "no" to a temptation we reduce the power of that temptation in the world. My response may not be the right answer or a complete answer, may G*D show and guide us. Best wishes.

Sages say that when in the days of war and when the an General or King of an Army wanted to come in peace toward his enemy he would turn his bow down just Like HaShems rainbow 🌈 is shaped. Therefore, HaShem is telling man that He comes in Shalom to all mankind.

Can't convince a mother that lost a child that it is going to be okay. It's not okay.
