This is incredible how you turned the white "blotches" into beautiful seagulls. I appreciate you showing us how to draw the seagulls in addition to painting them. Super painting Harriet Thank you.A old Cornish sailor,many years ago, told me that sea gulls were the souls of lost mariners. there was something about them at the coast that you don't find in them nowadays. Thank you for sharing with us x

I’ve also always called them seagulls. Autofill also knew seagull. Some are definitely bold thieves. I’m glad you’ve forgiven them. 😊

This is lovely I will be doing this today. In the Yorkshire Dales yesterday I saw a number of gulls fighting for airspace with a Red Kite. My mother always used to call them landgulls as they came inland, supposedly a sign that the weather is rough at the coast, but I think they are probably just opportunists and know where to get something good to eat! 😂😂🤣
Has to be hands down one of my favourite paintings to watch you do! Don't get me wrong, you are the ruler of all things botanical but this, the steps you outlined....I can see myself painting and can't wait to finish work later to try it out....although I just realised I have no masking fluid! 😂😂

Just been to Norfolk and the seagulls were huge! Don't know about them eyeing up my ice cream, but one flew done and took off with two slices of bread and butter off a blokes plate while he was waiting for his meal! 😱
That must have been quite a sight! Seagulls can be quite bold sometimes.
