Nathaniel Daffurn hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha seriously I've seen this like a hundred times and never thought of that
@@jlynn4736 This was Eagle Cave, Wisconsin. I went there a year ago and didn't realize until I got there that I was at the location of it. It was an event called "Even Further" and it was in 1996. The guy who owns the campground now was there the night it happened, and apparently it was really rainy and busy. The performances were all in a big tent or temporary structure.
And people were like "Hey, they don't deserve the Grammys they should drop beat and make some noise like Skrillex or Garrix or Harris and not with shit boring album like RAM" when in fact they had already done that 20 years earlier..
Thomas Bangalter is from another planet!!! I was lucky to meet him in november 2006 when he and Guy-manuel came to Argentina. I' ve never seen this video before, this guy is awesome.
saw them at Glastonbury when they refused to get off the stage and a girl in the audience climbed one of the tent poles and refused to come down until they were aloud to come down again,a gig I will never ever forget and will be telling my grandchildren about, big love to Thomas and Guy man for that night and for putting the punk back into the funk
basically, t-bang is working a set of sequencers, drum machines, and of course a 303, as well as a turntable. Guy-Man (who is to T-bang's right, or the left of the screen, hidden in shadows) usually handled the samplers, and a turntable also.
man, if I had seen this back then....oh man....The first live techno I saw was Orbital, a few years later. But I guess it still had an influence on me...my life is live techno to this day!
i cant believe there is a video of this. this was my first outdoor rave party. even furthur, may 24-27,1996 in wisconsin,USA. it changed my life. it rained on day's 25-26 turning the valley into a muddy slide. i spent most my time right outside the tent tripping my brains out all 4 days. drop bass network threw this party. this was back when daft punk was good. i don't remember him messing up this much at the party but back then i didn't have robot ears.
I remember my big bro took me to a rave in San Bernardino and told me I have to go because daft punk was going to be there... I was like who's that? He said the around the world guys ...you like that song ... so I went ... and it was amazing!!! Saw Aphex twin too with there big old dancing bears awesome night . Note I was a punk then.
tonite i saw them live in monterrey mexico and it was off the hook hahahah it was seriously amazing the best show i've ever witness and i have been around damn i love daft punk
This video is awesome. It gives a chance for people to see howe they are without all the robotic suits and mystical stage presence, and to be assuerd that they are 'human after all'
they basically pre-programme a set onto a sequencer that sends out the signals for all the drum machines and synths to make the right noises at the right time, then either by manipulating the synths and drum machines manually or by using another midi controller they can change the sounds they make.
@Slah606 Thanks for clearing that up. I noticed in all Daft Punk concerts they don't use turn tables nor CD players, they have a huge studio equipment and that is why the sound is so clear, cause is like hearing the digital master in which CDs are recorded on.
no matter what anyone says about DJs, that they just play songs other people made... they are wrong. this requires skill like any other instrument. respect Thomas!
@roskofff Even Further ('96) in my homeland of Wisconsin. Woody McBride and Mixmaster Morris threw down that weekend as well. So much great acid squealchiness for days on end.
Yep, half way throught the vid I noticed that there were more devices than just a mixer and two decks. Man, Ableton must have made their life so much easier and funner!
You're so right - it does sound like the Analord EP's a bit! The guy in the vid's Thomas Bangalter, in case no-one's had the decency to notify you yet. :D Peace Out. Take Care.
The human light-bulb is the precious source of light in that club

KaptainCoolade Lmfao

It was a tent not a club
That's how Thomas looked like before the terrible studio accident that permanently turned him and Guy-Man into robots.

Techno, House, Acid, Funk, this is what Daft Punk once was all about. Underground music for the underground club scene.
That's what i miss a lot.
Fun Fact: This was Daft Punk's first live show in the U.S.
Was there first show at Mission Rock in San Francisco?
or was it in mpls?
Yeah I know it was a nice drive to Wisconsin

Esto es de lejos, por lo cual viajaría en una maquina del tiempo...

I painted a pair of custom Daft Punk shoes and they came out pretty amazing!!
look at the passion
I heard Some people in this crowd weren't really Into house and were more Into hip hop but they slowly started getting into it because of daft punk
Angel EnriqueZ Lol
This is Techno. Not even close to house. Besides this is a Chi-town area party. Where house began
@Slah606 Thanks for clearing that up. I noticed in all Daft Punk concerts they don't use turn tables nor CD players, they have a huge studio equipment and that is why the sound is so clear, cause is like hearing the digital master in which CDs are recorded on.
