You should have more subscribers on YT. Thanks for doing this. I have an LP4 and I’m a newbie…it is daunting trying to figure out one’s first laser.

Thank you. I make these as I can as I too learn how to use these very cool tools. I do a lot of trial and error to figure out how it works well, but still try and keep it simple so thank you so much for your kind words.

Dave, thank you for the information in this video. One question is I see you wearing glasses and with the LP4 even though it comes with glasses I cannot find any specs on the wavelength that they are supposed to protect, also where the two lasers are 450nm and 1064nm have you found any over glasses goggles you might recommend for projects that don't fit under the hood?

So I found some info online... and like many things the prices can be from very cheap to very expensive... Some good details here on specs for safety glasses. www.thorlabs.com/newgrouppage9.cfm?objectgroup_id=762
Aside from that, the orange tint lenses work very well as they block all the light just like the LP4 canopy cover or optional box enclosure, and they fit over normal glasses... so I use them when I cannot use the cover... and I also try not to look too much. I have very sensitive eyes and even a short look without glasses gives my a splitting headache so I can say the orange tint glasses work well since I can work all day long and not get a migraine... Not very scientific, but my personal experience. Hope that helps and thanks for the feedback and question.
