Not a fan of the “media” centre, actually limits the size of tv you can fit on there (as there isn’t an arm built in so the tv would have to be on the worktop). That and the Sonos relies on you having signal and data just to listen to the radio for example.

I love your caravan reviews can i suggest that video is shown of the roof layout ie joins etc which is what and where most issues occur with damp.would also be nice if bailey allowed you so film the caravans construction

440 for me Karina my fav it’s the layout I currently have. It shows how prices have rocketed. Couple of years ago the outgoing Unicorn Valencia Black Edition (this layout but in a larger body shell) was 25K this “entry “ level is nudging towards that. Nice van.

Due to the absence ofa front locker, Bailey Discoveries can be difficult to load in terms of getting adequate nose weight - just something to be aware of.
In terms of a Bluetooth speaker, I thoroughly recommend a Bose Soundlink Mini. Nice, solid piece of kit with excellent sound reproduction in a package not much bigger than a 500ml bottle.

This comment was aimed at the video that I had loaded up prior to yours in my viewing queue, to a family who have just bought a Discovery D4/4 and are awaiting delivery. I am just about to buy a new caravan, at the moment the Phoenix 440 is high on the list. However, when will British caravan manufacturers stop forcing full gas cookers and ovens onto us? This is 2024! By al means make them an option for those who need to "cook on gas", but give us options for full electric across most models. And compressor fridges please. Kitchen units are all modular, so we should be able to have some bespoke choices for appliances when ordering a new van.
Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy your new caravan, when you make your purchase. I think gas will be with us for some time yet. Compressor fridges are becoming more widespread, more so on motorhomes currently. Its a compromise between weight, running off grid and the need for solars, more batteries and inverters. You wouldn’t be able to run an electric over and hob off a 12v system, and you would need an inverter then if you were not on EHU. Changes are coming with induction hobs that are more energy efficient. I know Knaus have designed an all electric caravan which I had a look at in October. I am sure the German manufacturers will lead the way with some developments. 😊👍

Good question..the Phoenix models are all much smaller than the sort of caravan I would choose, so, I would actually go for the 440 as I liked that layout and the price is fairly reasonable (based on current caravan prices). Thank you for watching as always 😊

Do any of these have awnings or outdoor speakers?
Thanks for watching..there are no outdoor speakers and you can add an awning yourself. You can either use the usual porch or full awning or have a canopy type fitted by a dealer.
I see they are still offering MTPLM upgrades 🤦♂️
Makes no sense now everyone has B+E licenses.
Just highlights how behind the times the manufacturers continue to be (just like they think putting a Sonus speaker in makes it modern, when actually it’s just taking up space!).

Perhaps I am missing something but have Bailey just reduced the length of the 640 Rear Fixed Double from
1.89m x 1.39m/6'2" x 4'7" on the 640 + to 1.720m x 1.355m on the new GT75 640 Measured from the widest point that is 170mm or 6.7" shorter !
I have just read the specs on the website and your measurements are correct. That makes the island bed quite small for many couples 🤷🏼♀️ Thank you for watching..
Hi Karina / Jules I also note that they have reduced the total payload upgrade down to 219kg on the 640 GT75 from the previous 244kg on the 640+, also losing the bluetooth dab radio that was connectable to stream music from your phone to stereo speakers in the front of the van rather that a speaker that is strangely placed in front of the cooker, the removal of front curtains handy if you have a dog so the blinds are not damaged ( you could remove these if not your preference) and the removal of shelves above the bedroom windows, I think this could just have been a cost cutting exercise rather than an improved model launch.🤷♂
Im not sure John, maybe some factors around costs but there certainly was an improvement in build quality which I was pleased to see. 🤷🏼♀️ Enjoy your weekend 😊
