The seats suit the style of the bug perfectly. Your guy did a great job on them lining up the patterns perfectly.

I do like the bare metal and dark green or black look.

I'm surprised I like it as much as I do, I thought I would have painted it by now, but it works.

Not sure if it will be there, but something will. If my son comes home, then I'll bring 2.

In your last video you were curious about the parking brake. There is a plastic handle that slides on the end of the lever and holds the release button in, I have one I'd give you if we were neighbors, but I'm sure you can track one down.

Thanks - it ended up being the cable attachment at the handle that had come off. All good now, and I'm glad it's working.

Those seats look very nice. Those weird vents in your kick panels are not a factory VW part. They were an aftermarket system that delivered fresh air from the small oval "horn" grills on the front fenders, through pipes, and into the capped holes you have under the carpet. They were known as "Uni-vents".

Thanks for that! I was wondering what they are. Interesting and now they are deleted! It's an odd little car with a lot of weird idiosyncrasies.

Ed the seats look great. nice work on the quicky rust repair . now the buggy will be fun to cruse around in. i all most bought a Karman ghia project a while back . it was in good shape and a good price too. it was 5 lug with mini light wheels.

Ghia's are awesome. I would like one sometime. They have a very unique look. I'm pretty happy with this little bug.

The interior looks good, but it would look a lot better if you'd put the last two carpet pieces over the heater channels. It's not that hard to do and you don't need sil-plates to do it. There are a lot of instructional videos on how to finish it off. Great look car though!

Fortunately, I never had to deal with that on my Volkswagens the bodies disappeared. The pans got shortened, and dune buggy bodies were installed.
