I made up a triple batch and froze it in portions uncooked so when I want pasta I take it out "thaw" then cook. Works for me !

1 large egg yolk.
Warm cheese with xantham
Add yolk mix
Sandwich between paper roll out
Use pizza cutter form strands. Grease cutter

I just tried this recipe and it was AMAZING. Definitely need to set for the 8+ hours for cooking it. I ran out of parchment so I used a quart sized ziplok bag and rolled the pin over it while in the bag which formed a perfect edge as well as noodle thickness for the recipe and just ran the pizza cutter over while still inside the bag which perforated the pasta without cutting through the plastic. Opened the seal to get air inside while it set overnight then cut the bag open and they all released off of the plastic effortlessly! Excellent recipe especially with the xanthan gum addition (I tried both with and without). Thank you so much for sharing this 🌼

I made this today for dinner and it was tasty! This recipe is def going into my folder and no more store bought plant based pasta.
I made this and it was the best keto pasta! I was afraid it would melt, but I timed it like you said and rinsed it. It didn’t melt when I added hot stroganoff on top. It had a perfect pasta texture. Love! I rushed the process a bit by putting it in the freezer a while.

BTW, you may be a real DUFF if you are eating pasta made from a wheat other than durum wheat. Some Italians would laugh at you for being so superior when in fact, you probably have never had “genuine pasta.” 😁 @andrew5222 @KayDejaVu

this seems simple and doable and stomach SAFE vs. the some of the other keto pasta recipes that require a chemistry lab that god knows what they do to your intestines.
Can you do a video on road trip/picnic friendly
keto snacks and meals? It would be great for summer to pack a cooler and be able to avoid the convenience store snacks. I love trail mix, jerky, and deli rolls, but I bet there is more out there! Watching this pasta video even made me think- low carb pasta salad!

sounds to me like a cheese omelette with tomato sauce-why all the work? do we really need to find substitutes all the time? that said, my mom used to make "eggs in purgatory" which is just sunny side up eggs in sauce.
@@carolbowen1693 Some of us enjoy spending time in the kitchen, cooking and eating mindfully. I read on his website that these "noodles" taste like the real thing. Do store-bought egg noodles taste like an omelet? Nope.

What is alfredo sauce? I thought he used ketchup (which doesn't seem keto at all). Is alfredo sauce tomato sauce without sugar or other carbs?

I notice you used packaged shredded cheese, which I've been avoiding because freshly shredded melts better, but in this case I see the benefits of using the packaged pre-shredded cheese. Yay!

Hmmm---I think your tip of working the cheese and egg together with one bare hand and the spatula might help me when it comes to making fathead dough. That stuff has been a challenge for me, but now I believe I've figured out why.

Had done tapioca based pasta my hubby found. They were ok for a sub since I haven't had pasta in 4 months. I'm gonna give this a try bc it looks cheaper!

For those who have made this does the Xanthen gum make the noodles slimy. I shy away from XG because I find that's what happens.

First, thanks for the wonderful recipes. I made the lemon bars, It was wonderful. As for the pasta, The dough came out very sticky and hard to work with. I put it in the freezer and finally managed to get something out. But it was hard and I do not know why.
Has anyone tried using freshly grated Mozarella cheese for this, or is it best to use the store bought?
Also, can you use a pasta machine to cut it? Thank you!

I recommend before hand that you spritz the parchment paper with a little bit of nonstick spray, parchment paper doesn’t usually stick to things, but occasionally it can happen :)

Joe, you are the man! You have inspired me to start eating ketogenic. Six months ago my A1C was 7.9 I just got my last lab results 2 days ago my A1C is 5.4 and I lost 40 lb in the past 6 months. I am a professionally trained chef but your keto recipes have inspired me. These are so much better than shirataki noodles and they are even better in my opinion than regular noodles I use these to make fettuccine alfredo keeps the carb count even lower thank you so much you have made a huge impact on my life
