You gotta love how the “OTK” deck has the “Control” deck in deadlock and not the other way around.
I think the control deck put itself in deadlock by filling up all its zones with useless tokens.

Its funny cause unifrog actually changed nothing. Cimo was dead on board thanks to armory arms burn that turn anyways.

also unnecessary since he could've just equipped it to the mist wurm, killed the Spy and the burn would kill Cimo

After the Dragon Ruler History episode, anytime I heard Joseph say "Blaster", I was confused for a second and then remembered that Fishborg Blaster is a card.
Every time MBT goes "wah!", I think of him doing a Waluigi
Hearing him say "Wah!" is honestly one of my favorite things about the series involving MBT 😂
MBT summons Colossal Fighter. Then he summons Armory Arm. He equips Armory Arm to Volcanic Rocket boosting its attack to 2900. He then crashes his Colossal Fighter into the Rocket and it dies. Since the target of Armory Arm destroyed a monster by battle and sent it to the graveyard, Cimo takes Colossal Fighter's attack as damage. Colossal Fighter was destroyed by battle and sent to the graveyard, so you can target a warrior in either graveyard and special summon it. MBT picks Colossal Fighter, special summons it, crashes it into the Volcanic Rocket again, deals 2800 damage again, and continues to do that until Cimo is dead.
I had to go and check when Armory Arm was errata'd to prevent this OTK, and it looks like it was August of 2011. So if they're in Edison, then this is technically legal to do. The errata'd version of this OTK would require 2 Colossal Fighters in rotation, because the errata of Armory Arm specifically states "Inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster's original attack *in the graveyard.* Since the destroyed Colossal Fighter would no longer be in the graveyard, it wouldn't deal damage, but if you had a second Colossal Fighter, then one Fighter could resurrect the other, stay in the graveyard to satisfy Armory Arm's effect to deal damage, and you could still continuously attack with a Colossal Fighter.

It annoys me watching Cimo in the last game not knowing how Black Garden works at all.
It only halves NORMAL or SPECIAL summoned monsters, NOT flip summoned ones.
It's funny how coelacanth is like the only card in the whole game that Joseph pronounces correctly. XD
I dunno, he's also pretty good at pronouncing Crystrons, especially that brown one.
Can't wait for the next Junior Journey episode, where we get to see Coelacanth REALLY pop off!

I think we are getting to a point where even bad decks can top. I can’t wait for World Legacy and Necrovalley dragoon to be on the show.
MBT will have a live mental breakdown the day that Necrovalley deck is featured on the show.

I had a black garden deck similar to this one, except it didn't have blaze accelerator. And my main payoff was Slifer the Sky Dragon. The black rose tokens let you tribute them, and if Slifer sticks, any monster summoned pretty much instantly dies, which turns off their monster plays. So unless they have spell or trap effects that can target and destroy slifer, and I Don't have a way to stop it at the time, it pretty much locks the game down. Slifer didn't really have to attack at this point, but as a control deck you often had a lot of cards in hand. (This is also assuming no removal to black rose garden, to a degree.)
Now _this_ is a based deck.
After hearing about the armory arm/colossal fighter combo for around a year now, it's great to actually see it used to win a game. I think this is the first time in either of the history series.
In the last game Armory Arm was not equipped to Colossal Fighter, but to Volcanic Rocket, making it 2900ATK.
When Colossal Fighter attacks Volcanic Rocket and is destroyed as a result, Armory Arm will deal 2800 damage to Cimo, since the equipped monster has destroyed something in battle, and Colossal Fighter will Special Summon a Warrior from the GY, in this case itself.
It is repeated until Cimo is dead.

This episode was amazing. Cimoooo forgetting accelerator says "Pyro monster" and not Shell, deciding to shuffle back all 3 shells instead of leaving one in grave to activate the effect
Blaze accelerator does have the 500 attack restriction, so he cannot use the rockets. But yeah he could have searched shells back after shuffling only two with avarice.
Wait from reading the card blaze accelerator isn't once per turn, so in game 2 why didn't Cimooooooooooooooo use it multiple times to clear Joeseph Biden's board?
That requires reading the card. Something neither of them know how to do in history of Yugioh/Jank. Similarly… Cimo could have cleared the substitoad in game 2 as well by pitching a volcanic rocket.

Not that it matters but Gorz is not halved. "Play" includes activating effects of already face-up cards as well, so Cold Wave turns off Black Garden.

Can someone explain why Cimo lost game 3? What interaction with Armory Arm/Colossal am I missing cause I don't get how it would be lethal.
fighter attacks rocket - Rocket destroys fighter - Armory triggers and does 2800 to cimo - fighter revives itself - rocket destroys fighter - armory triggers and does 2800 to cimo - rinse repeat until cimo has no more life.
I think this is the interaction
when an armory arm-equipped monster destroys a monster by battle, it burns your opponent by the original atk of the destroyed monster, even if their monster is the one attacking. colossal fighter revives a warrior from the gy when it's destroyed by battle. CF can revive itself to crash again and again, burning the opponent for 2800 every time it does.

I've seen the combo before, but they should have explained this interaction.
Coelacanth was my first holo pull and since then I decided to make Fish a thing.
My most recent Fish deck uses Coelacanth to summon Synchros, Xyz and Link depending of what is needed.
My most powerful Fish deck caused the ban of Fishborg Blaster, the limit of Pot of Avarice, TG Hyper Librarian, Formula Synchron and other hits. People didn't like ten minutes first turns (but they are common now), that ended with me controlling two Shooting Quasar Dragon and drawing my entire deck including Exodia.
really interesting games, i feel like there is a lot of depth for cimo and mbt to play around each other's decks. if you look at it one way, it seems like mbt's deck can stall and inevitably win, and on the other hand it seems like cimo can blank every combo that mbt attempts. really fun to watch
Rose garden says "the controller of that monster" gets a token. Reading cards is very difficult. Also blaze accelerator isn't once per turn

Woah this is like...primitive chain beat. This is incredible. Instead of Wind up Rabbit and Horn of the Phantom beast getting you advantage it’s setting Don Zaloog
rose garden... possibly my favorite fieldspell :-D i played some kind of "Wind up rabbit" / "Evilswarm Thunderbird" / "Black Rose Garden" Control where you played the "jumpers" and immediatly switched out so your opponement didn't get a token so when they came back they had full atk. Pair this with ... i don't know the name of the trap (target one of your monsters and one from the opponement and shuffle them into the deck (or bounce them) anyway you could bounce your rabbit/thunderbird and still got the effect

How would that interaction with Don Zaloog and Gorz work? Doesn't Gorz chain to the Don Zaloog's effect? Or is it because priority is still in effect, so that's why Don Zaloog happens first.
MBT should have been able to summon Gorz before Cimooooooo used Don Zaloog's effect. Don is CL 1 and Gorz would be CL 2.
Excuse me, MBT Joseph, you added Swap Frog on the 1st Standby Phase after resolving Sarcophagus? Also, Fader gets banished upon leaving the field... Not that it really mattered, though.
By the way, did anyone else notice Blaze Accelerator is not once-per-turn?

Black Rose Garden was used in lots of FTK decks in more modern formats.

Starlight road on black rose is an illegal activation. Black garden is mandatory so Chain links should've been Cl1 oyster, Cl2 oyster, Cl3 Black rose, Cl4 black garden.
I think all my current tournament decks would be considered jank. I would love to see them on here.
Why didn't Joseph get back Stardust Dragon in Game 2? Also, why didn't it destroy Blaze Accelerator?
Joseph let Blaze Accelerator resolve, because if he had negated it, Cimo could have attacked him for game.
CIMO! Me and a friend were doing the progression series for fun on our own. Would you believe that I pulled enough to make a FULL power fish otk deck. That beast carried me for so many sets, not unlike CED in earlier metas
If I had a nickel for every time a armory arm boosted unifrog won a game id have like 4 nickles which isn't a lot but weird how often it comes up

Game 2 was game on board after cealocanth resolved. Fishborg+meister+metabo = colossal
Revive fishborg, make armory with the other meister
Equip armory to a rose token, since colossal is always halved
Colossal into the rose token, burn, revive, etc until the end of the game.
Shocked joseph didnt see that.
Joseph also never brings his stardust back, so thats funny.
EDIT: Actually, far more hilarious than him never resummoning it, is the fact that he made started using only 7 stars.

He chose not to use stardust to negate that's why it didn't revive.

MBTs deck wasn't really jank tho it was almost full power frogs just without ronin
To be fair, Ronintoadin is the best frog. The other frogs help with setup yes, but all the infamous frog plays come from looping Ronin over and over.

@@fn2025 The problem is that Coelacanth has a lot of potential weaknesses on top of being a two tribute monster, add that to the fact that it's the main win con of the deck in it's current state and the label of "jank" makes sense. Jank can play good cards and still be considered jank if the main objective lacks consistency and/or if the deck lacked representation.
22:17 I don't understand these die rolls sometimes. I get it's using a die to pick a card for him, but he rolls a 3 and picks the middle? How does that work? XD
I assume it's 1,2 for left card, 3,4 for middle card, and 5,6 for right card.

Gods, as someone who ran various forms of FishOTK over the years from the release of Royal Swamp Eel (we got it before Fishborg in the US) to when i had to quit the physical card game due to abusive relationships screwing me out of my collection, it can HURT seeing MBT not know how to play the deck outside of "Colossal Armory OTK".
Which is the bigger chad move: tribute summon Gorz or tribute summon Nibiru?

Cimo's turn 1 was so bad game 1. He should have set spy and saved the rose to let Zaloog discard from his hand but he went greedy in a control deck.

Armory Arm equips to Cimo's Volcanic Rocket. Rocket now has 2900 ATK.
MBT attacks into Volcanic Rocket with Colossal Fighter, which has 2800 ATK. Volcanic Rocket Destroys Colossal Fighter by battle, dealing 100 battle damage to MBT.
Since a monster equipped with Armory Arm destroyed a monster by battle, Cimo takes damage equal to the destroyed monster's ATK, as per Armory Arm's effect. So Cimo takes 2800 LP in damage.
When Colossal Fighter is destroyed by battle, he can target any warrior monster in your GY, including himself, and Special Summon it. So MBT revives Colossal Fighter.
It is still the Battle Phase. So MBT attacks again with Colossal Fighter into Volcanic Rocket, taking 100 damage and dealing 2800 damage to Cimo. Then brings back Colossal Fighter.
The loop repeats until Cimo is dead.
Game 2: why didn't MBT's stardust come back in the end phase? Why didn't it destroy the blaze accelerator?? Can't wrap my head around that
He didn't negate with stardust and instead just let it die to accelerator

Why does cimo don't get aggressive when he had don zaloog set? Black Garden doesn't activate on flip summons (Game 3)? Might have changed the result of the game
I'm kind of still wondering why Cimo and co just don't move to EDOPro for playing lol. It basically functions the same way

Fish deck is painfully slow, but ends a game once you draw your cards, sk a deck which gives you plenty of time to play is too easy of a match up
