Thanks for this video. It seems fair and balanced.
We are going soon (August), so I have been watching a few videos. My wife and I went to Cuba in 2001, but understandably, things will be different 23 years later. Many of the videos I have seen are full of complaints and I have had people telling me that it's really not a good time to go to Cuba due to food shortages, labour shortages, etc. This left us feeling a bit concerned, but I'm pretty sure that at least some of the complaints are due to mismanaged expectations. Some people commented on how the resort has a new owner who is updating things, but then they were upset that things were under renovation, so obviously some were just looking for reasons to complain.
Overall, it looks quite nice, though I am still a bit concerned about the food. But I guess the worst that can happen is that I will lose some weight. And thank you for mentioning the departure time being *before* breakfast. That is good to know.
I have some questions, though, if you don't mind:
    1) We are also from Canada and I remember that the last time we went, we had to bring an adapter, since the outlets are different. What I don't remember is if it was just an adapter (for the shape of the plug) or also a converter (to adjust the voltage). Every time I ask, I get a different answer, including 2 people telling me that the resort has "Canadian-style" plugs and voltage. Could you clear this up for us, please?
    2) What is the current tipping standard? I've heard everything from $1 US for every drink/ transaction, to $1 US after every 5 drinks/ transactions. Other people have told us not to bring US money at all.
    3) You didn't say much about the state of the room (other than the air conditioner not working). Some videos claimed that the rooms were great, others complained about the in-room safe not working, damage in the bathroom, dirty floors and furniture, and bugs. What was your experience?
    4) Is there anything else you forgot to mention that you realized after posting the video?
    Thanks!

Firsty thank you so much for watching our video and giving this lovely feedback. now regarding your answers
      1. In our resort we go similar plug as Canada, although you can take the adapter just in case
      2. tipping standard is $1 US for drink/transaction. I have also seen people gave $1 after few drinks. Both works
      3. Room condition is Okisss. As the hotel we stayed was very old. you can look into Melia properties they have nice new hotels
Let us know if you still have question. We are currently travelling the world, you can check our current episodes

@@followtheimprints thank you for the response. I actually should have been more clear about the fact that we are going to this resort (Iberostar Origin). My wife selected it because there was a special :D
I do understand that it is an older resort, but as I mentioned, another reviewer said that it has a new owner or manager, who is making significant renovations. I'm not sure what to expect, but as long as it's not dirty, old is ok.
So you just plugged in your electronics like normal? You had no adapter?
      Thanks again!
