  • On Sunday 19 May 2024 CJ Fulton paid a visit to Lisburn Racquets Club to talk for 20 minutes with the Cleveland NI U13 All-Star Boys team.
This squad of twenty U13 players contains seven Phoenix juniors (Milo Ferguson, Noah Mayne, Mani O'Hare, Sam Bowman, Abdul Nour, Jackson Roy and Matthew McConville) who are all aspiring ballers.
CJ is a generational player in terms of Northern Ireland basketballer - an ex-Belfast Star and St Malachy's junior - who moved to the US to progress his game.
CJ currently plays Div 1 College basketball for Charleston College. In 2023-24 in 35 games CJ averaged 24 minutes for Charleston and leads the NCAA for assists/turnover.
CJ was accompanied to Sunday's session by Belfast Star Superleague and Irish coach and CJ's Dad - Adrian Fulton.
CJ spoke about his time playing junior basketball in NI for his club and school.
He emphasised to the young lads the importance of playing a number of sports at their age.
He explained that only hard work and commitment to your sport/s pays in the end so to enjoy that process of getting better incrementally.
See some video of the conversation that CJ had with the Cleveland NI lads.
