Brings back memories. I was about 8-9 when I got this from a magic shop in San Francisco when I was on there for a family trip in the mid 80s. When I was in 9th grade, for a speech class, we were assigned to deliver a speech where we had to instruct our audience to do a skill or task. I choose this scotch and soda trick. Unfortunately, this was the one assignment where my teacher didn't like my presentation nearly as much as my other speeches. LoL! Thanks for the video.
Love watching your videos. Iv just bought a Raven (second hand but had no instructions) can you do a routine and a wee tutorial on how to show clean hands? Cheers
I had this trick performed for me by the proprietor in the bar of a Blackpool (England) guesthouse some nine or ten years ago. In this case, he performed the trick by placing the two coins (overlapping) under an upturned glass on the bar and invited me to watch closely as he moved the glass around, causing the coins to (apparently) coalesce and become one! I've spent years (on and off, obviously) trying to find the actual explanation for that trick but no combination of keywords I could ever think of entered into Google, would turn up the solution. In the interim, I had pretty much assumed that there had to be a gaff coin or two involved (Occam's Razor, right?), but until now, I had no tangible explanation or confirmation of that assumption. Now, thanks to you, I not only have explanation/confirmation I'd so fervently sought after... I actually have a name for the gimmick! Thank you so much for putting this one to bed for me! 😁👍 Oh, btw... The Scotch & Soda coins he used were British 10p & 2p coins, which are widely available, but not inexpensive by comparison! lol
I had a very similar experience. I saw this trick done at a Disneyland magic shop and I was only 9 years old and couldn’t afford to buy it. Years later I saw someone at a mall performing the trick at a magic shop there and I bought it and finally got to see how it was done after countless sleepless nights obsessing.
Hiya, my centavo coin come ungluded. What iind of glue would be best to stick back together? I just don't want to use anything that might erode ghe cojn
