@@AddictionHappiness I did. Sorry not convinced.. For me, the glider doesn't really reflect the power of the wind, and the absence of the landing (harder to simulate) kind of gives it away. With that level of mastery you wouldn't "lose" the last minutes of the footage for sure...I think it was a drone footage with the glider added later on - But as I said, it doesnt take out the fact it looks absolutely stunning, either real or just by drone. So big congrats for sure !

Speed flying is a variation of paragliding. One is speed and proximity and the other is a cerebral game of thermals, tactics and distance. Current distance record is 588kms

Thanks!! That’s good question. I always make my plans and lines around weather conditions. Usually I see a cool spot, mountain or something and it goes in my head “woah I should fly that!” Haha then I check the area around and explore it first from the ground and then from sky :)) I might do a video about that topic!! Good idea :) thanks for your support. More vids soon.
And of course if I never go all in proximity and close to the ground first time.. I start nice and high and progress from there.

something ive experience with sunset mountain launches is that when you fly in to the valley, you experience an accelerated loss of daylight and can land in darkness. the last time this happened to me i couldnt assess drift and landed downwind at 30kmh, skidded my boots as far as i could, and ran out the rest.
True that!! I landed in the darkness couple of times 😬 can be sketchy 🦅🦅🦅
Can be much worse as around sunset in a valley you can experience reverse thermals. No way to get to the ground until later at night. Luckily I had good friends parking their cars with lights on as a landing strip illumination….

Probably motorbikes are a thousand times more dangerous. When you fly your safety relies mostly in yourself. In a motorbike your safety depends ion other people actions beside yours.

Hello, I have a question about when you cross from one side of the mountain to the lee side, How is that possible since wind is blowing from one direction (in this case I am guessing its the left side) shouldnt you get in a rotor or lose hight drastically when you go from the left side to the right?
Another question is about proximity flying to trees, also how is that possible just watching you (and others as well) gives me chills on what to do if you are met with a collapse or sudden loss of hight.
I am a pilot myself but all my flying was in the desert and dunes and over rocky mountains heading twoards the sea.

Hey hey 👋 thanks for your questions!! I only fly over the ridge from one side to another if there is no wind at all.. that means it’s completely calm. Otherwise it could be very bumpy and potentially dangerous like you mentioned. About proximity flying - I also do that only if conditions are laminar. No wind, no thermals.. that way you eliminate these factors of sudden collapses. It’s just up to you and your flying then :))

You almost had me FOOLED!!! Nice CGI effects!!! What was the giveaway??? The person (or drone) videoing the paraglider maintains almost the EXACT SAME distance apart, the camera is too steady, and the person NEVER leaves the sight of the camera lens!!! Again, great CGI!!! Btw...you need to add wind ripples in the parachute - the wind blowing that strong would cause the material to have them like wind on a pond causes tiny waves!

Looks too stressful of a flight to have fun. To me it’s more enjoyable to get some better lift and finally relax a bit when you are a safe distance above the the ridge. More power to you if this is your ideal flight. Best of luck to you.

No it's a "Chase cam"....it's connected to the trailing edge of the wing.

Hey hey! Landing zone is at 500m and take off at 2000m (approximately). I usually do it around 1.5 - 2hours
How do you find your landing Zone after all that?
Best is to know the area before flying and plan possible landing zones 🔥

It’s my home area so I know it well :) I land at my car 🔥
