That's the proper way to reach out to directors for actors. My interviews are normally arranged by marketing people, I have no direct contatcs for anyone

that was recorded in Cancun last year during an international press event. Jack Black was really funny during the press conference but actually quite tired during our 1-1 tv slot. But I can understand, press days are tiresome. Odeya was the sweetest! She talks a lot and gives a lot of interesting stuff to work with, i guess that was evident from the video. :) are you a fan of hers?

Yes well i understand about Jack Black’s situation as he would be tired after a stressful press event. Although Goosebumps(2015) movie has become a highlight event for last year for me. And yes Odeya Rush’s part was pretty exciting as I’m a fan of hers. Well technically evident from an 18 year old teenage girl huh? Nice to get some great information from you as a youtuber. I’ve never gotten to get a reply from any other youtuber a honest truth.

Really interesting that you only ask the male actors relevant questions about the movie and their performances while when you're interviewing Odeya Rush, you focused mainly on her etnicity, her looks and her relations with the other male actors. Next time do better.
I am Russian myself (which I guess is fairly obvious because of my accent) and the piece was done for a Russian website hence the ethnicity questions, it was relevant for the local audiences. The male actors didn't remind me or anyone I know. Also my first question to Odeya was about acting with Jack Black, not about her looks. Second was about ethnicity (i wanted her to speak Russian a bit), then I asked about the Ferris-wheel scene. Are you imposing I am kind of misogynist who treats actors depending on their gender?
Okay, I'm not going to comment further on the Russian thing because it was not my main point. Your questions are not that problematic by themselves, it's just a shame that actresses (and especially if they are young) rarely get asked the same kind of questions as the actors. Like would you ever even consider asking Dylan Minnette if she was a good kisser? No because that's normally the kind of shallow question you would ask a girl. I just wish that interviewers in general would focus more about the girls' thoughts about the movie and their character and of course you can make a difference as an interviewer. I didn't accuse you of anything, everyone treat people differently depending on their gender, but it is when you start to recognise your own behaviour that you can work against preconceptions.

I actually just imagined myself asking Dylan how was it making out with Odeya - would that not look like I am sitting there with other 2 boys in the room objectifying Odeya?
I get it what you say by 'shallow questions', but 2 years ago all the kids were around 16-17, and the movie was , lets say, not very challenging. It's Goosebumps. There was a romantic story line I could touch on, which I knew teenage viewers would be interested in. Also thinking back, I actually have asked the boys about working with Jack and Odeya, but they were just boring with the answers so it all ended up in the editing bin. I wish I haven't deleted the raw footage now that Dylan is suddenly a megastar because of 13 reasons why!
Sorry for blabbing too much, but as a journalist I try to come up with good questions and it does make me upset when people are unhappy about what I've published.
