Humbling and funny. Someone who gave it everything. I was in the Stade de France for the Grand Slam decider. Fantastic memory of a great team.
The man is so much more than a “former rugby player”. Haskell was the first pro player I ever met at my local club, and as a 13/14 year old I truly thought he was a giant from another life form.
17 years later, this year, he was the first pro player my daughter ever met and went above and beyond for a photo. Grew up watching his career unfold in real time, and alongside big Sergio from Italy, will remain one of the best 8s the worlds ever seen 👊
Love him or hate him, no one can deny he gave everything for club/s and country.
