Sakurai didn't want you to play just another fighting game, he wanted you do be a kid again. That's why there's also posing and taking pictures. We get to see Ridley have a yoga class with the Wii Fit trainer or Incineroar bonding with secretary Isabelle.

I love this mix so much. It definitely feels like a Smash song. Undertale's Megalovania was a song about sans taking his final stand against a genocidal maniac, and tone-wise that's a lot darker than the vibe of Smash games. This mix is a lot more of an energetic, cool, victorious song, perfect for a competitive--but ultimately fun and positive, at least for casual players--fighting game like Smash.

Funny thing is that the "bad route" (or genocide path) has the most iconic soundtrack in the game and sans is by far the most iconic character of the series. So it makes sense in a weird way

It was in Earthbound Hack as a boss track, it was in Homestuck as a reoccuring “oh shit” track, and now it made it to Sans. Like, Sans is one of my favorite game characters, and Super smash bros is one of my favorite game series,' so you can imagine how happy I am to see this. It's certainly the best representation for Sans in Smash, although there's songs in Undertale I like just as much, or even more than Megalovania. I do sometimes worry that it (and Sans') fame overshadows the other good stuff in Undertale.

Daridon248 The funny thing is how just being creative and passionate got him pretty far. He didn't even expect the game to be as far as it did. Now he has an entire legion of dedicated, half assed fans loving his game and anticipating his next product. All these games out here with serious potential failing because companies care more about cash than they do about the quality content they put out there, and they never learn. It's sad honestly.
Luckily, we seem to be entering a new era of games where Indie developers are starting to gain lots of relevance (FNaF, DDLC, Undertale, most of the Sonic Mania team were indie devs, etc.) and I'm not entirely surprised, because mostly of Indie games are done purely made by heart and not caring about cash (at least that much). There's no way you can't bring quality if you're doing it by heart. And now more than ever those passionate about videogames have the oportunity to create their owns- without even writing a single line of code. Which is amazing! Toby Fox is one of the best examples of this today. And I swear, with him being in the battle, there's no excuse, everyone can do it, we must just *stay determined.*
i mean, it uses MOTIFS from undertale, and a lot of the structure from undertale, and not much structure from the other ones, but I count it as the Smash Bros megalovania *shrug*

I love this mix so much. It definitely feels like a Smash song. Undertale's Megalovania was a song about sans taking his final stand against a genocidal maniac, and tone-wise that's a lot darker than the vibe of Smash games. This mix is a lot more of an energetic, cool, victorious song, perfect for a competitive--but ultimately fun and positive, at least for casual players--fighting game like Smash.

Yeah it was very uncomfortable, but after a few listens the new chords are also very nice.
The section starting 0:40 sounds so much better compare for the original, crazy how a slight adjustment of chords and pitch can do.

nah. toby's mixing is still shit, although he is good at composition and instrumentation so is atleast 70% of the music community. plus most of the music community is also good at mixing. this isnt that good compared to what you'd hear elsewhere.

Also yeah, now that you mention it, it *is* essentially Radiation’s signature track. It was in Earthbound Hack as a boss track, it was in Homestuck as a reoccuring “oh shit” track, and now it made it to Sans. It’s like the anime song thet keeps playing every episode when a cool thing happens.
Edit: also, really fascinating how Toby went from making ninty hacks for rpgs (ebhh) and playing smash melee, to making music for an rpg (that little hero game) and having one of his own characters in smash

The funny thing is how just being creative and passionate got him pretty far. He didn't even expect the game to be as far as it did. Now he has an entire legion of dedicated, half assed fans loving his game and anticipating his next product. All these games out here with serious potential failing because companies care more about cash than they do about the quality content they put out there, and they never learn. It's sad honestly.
Luckily, we seem to be entering a new era of games where Indie developers are starting to gain lots of relevance (FNaF, DDLC, Undertale, most of the Sonic Mania team were indie devs, etc.) and I'm not entirely surprised, because mostly of Indie games are done purely made by heart and not caring about cash (at least that much).
There's no way you can't bring quality if you're doing it by heart. And now more than ever those passionate about videogames have the oportunity to create their owns- without even writing a single line of code. Which is amazing!
Toby Fox is one of the best examples of this today. And I swear, with him being in the battle, there's no excuse, everyone can do it, we must just *stay determined.*
