  • This is the Remastered version of the Winter Piano Concert with Betty Miller.
    Special care was put in to sync the audio and video as well as tweak the sound to make it more dynamic.

    ABOUT THE PERFORMERS
    Betty Ann Miller holds Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral degrees in Piano
    Performance from the New England Conservatory, the State University of New
    York at Stony Brook, and Rutgers University, respectively. Dr. Miller has been
    a faculty member and guest artist at the Chautauqua Institute, assistant director
    of the Professional Studies Program at the Levine School of Music, and an
    independent piano teacher for over thirty years. With the award of the first
    Teacher Enrichment Grant from the Music Teachers National Association,
    Miller recorded a critically acclaimed compact disc of music by historical women
    composers (Centaur). Dr. Miller’s principal teachers include Gilbert Kalish,
    Richard Goode, and Alan Feinberg. She has studied and performed abroad in
    Italy and London, and has participated in many summer music festivals. Dr.
    Miller currently maintains a private studio in Washington, DC, and is a faculty
    member at the Kinhaven Adult Piano Workshop.
    Jessica Krash is a composer and pianist whose work has been presented in the
    US, Europe, and Asia. Jessica has given a series of lectures at the Kennedy
    Center, the Library of Congress, and the NIH on such topics as music and the
    brain, music history, and the insight we get from dangerous, banned, and
    provocative music. Jessica’s most recent CD (Albany Records) was praised by the
    Wall Street Journal, Gramophone, and Fanfare, was “Recording of the Month”
    in Voix des Arts, and was named in “10 of the Best New Releases in 2018” by
    The Daffodil Perspective. Jessica taught at GW for 30 years. She studied at
    Harvard, Julliard, and the University of Maryland, and did research in music
