Miles Schon joined us once again, this time for a trip to school on electric blues, featuring the styles of Albert King, Freddie King, and B.B. King.
Miles is the son of Neal Schon, so he has rock in his DNA but he is very reverent and well versed in the different blues styles of the 3 Kings!

Fantastic, Miles was spot on. I shouldn’t say this but Lukather and Schon. are my all time favorites.
Miles is a great player his father and Lukather are my all time favorites!!
I saw BB King play three times in Ireland during the '80s and I think they were twin reverbs every time. Fantastic sound - loud but sweet with no reverb so it sounded as if he was playing right in your face.
U2 🤮 joined him on stage at one of the concerts as they did a single together at the time.
Ahhh the 3 Kings can't go wrong it's always good to come back to those three. Thanks guys!!!
Really loving the vibe between you and Miles... could listen to you guys all day. Miles is ridiculously talented... he definitely has put his time in the blues shed. He's got those tasty bends down. Very sweet! More Miles and Tim! (we still love Tim and Pete!)
Nice work Miles.
This is a gold mine!
Especially the bend to change chords 👌👌👌
I thought so too!!! I was pretty blown away by this video, really cool to see.
Man, you guys are great! Thank you for this. It's super fun just watching you both play some fierce blues.
Always a pleasure to listen to you play Tim. Even when you are just noodling around with licks.
Sucha' Class Act you are !!!
Oh , & You Too Tim !♡!
Albert King was one of the most influential names in blues. He was also a lefty who played right-handed guitars (usually Gibson Flying Vs) upside down. Makes over bending strings easier but need to work on and perfect right hand picking. Joe Perry also is a lefty playing right handed.
Also Coco Montoya. One of my favorites.
Three kings? Setting up Christmas nicely.
The second time I saw Freddie, the band played him on stage to Goin’Down. They sounded like a freight train barreling down the track....then Freddie tears into that opening bend...wow.
This is so goood! Especially the Freddie part, short and cryingly👍
So much to be learned from the 3 Kings. Masters.
Grande Tim Pierce n. 1.
Really great stuff in this video!
Tim's guitar is beautiful. awesome video.
Lusting after those gorgeous PRS guitars and those great guitar chops.
Nice having a post about three kings this close to Chritmas :)
Tim King and Miles King
Great video Tim. I love Albert King. It's tough to steal licks from Albert by watching him. Between the upside down guitar and the alternate tuning, his hand position doesn't tell you much. Miles has a great vibrato.
Thankyou
Just found my new favorite channel
The apple didn’t fall far from the tree! Great stuff. Enjoyed the video!
Thanks!!
Tim Pierce Guitar really love your stuff Tim. You da man!
What I liked about Freddie was he not only was a great guitarist, but a fantastic soulful singer!!
He played cool blues , but was funky as hell!
Agreed...but he had to be Funky recording in gritty Memphis at Stax with BT & the MG's backing him up...
I saw BB up close and live in the early '80s in a small hotel club in North Vancouver Canada great show, I believe he was using a lab series amp also a couple live videos out there with him playing through a lab series amp later in his career
awesome playing on thrill is gone !
Wow he looks like his dad!!!!
Great
I experienced all the Kings live at the Filmore West many times!
Sometimes on the same night!
Miles pretty much nails it.
I still haven’t seen anyone quite do that BB vibrato.
Thanks for sparking my memory banks.
Best and most unique vibrato ever. I've yet to hear anyone duplicate it either.
Isn't BB's vibrato more of a violin vibrato?
@@dchristo10 in an interview (I saw it on CZcams a while back) he said he tried to develop his vibrato to mimic the way his cousin's sounded to him when his cousin played slide guitar. But it actually does kind of sound like the vibrato of a violin.
Good work with the broken string Tim. Good job you weren't playing a floating trem guitar ;-)
BB used the varitone on his Lucille I guess. Many different good sounds from that feature.
Not sure how much he used it but makes Lucille a versitale guitar
We three kings...
Great video! What were those inlays on the first PRS Tim was playing? They definitely were not birds.
celtic knots
Great Tim! Back to the roots. BB King is really hard to fully intone properly. This also includes this extraordinary tone with this special vibrato. The LAB L5 was released around 1978 and offers a very variable sound spectrum, especially for jazz, blues and country.
I've owned a L5 for a long time and I'll never give it back because it's also unbreakable and top reliable.
BB King usually has the L5 directly behind him. The amp can be played very loud. A great video document from BB King can be found on CZcams "Live At The Royal Albert Hall 2011"!
Your solo album is still often found in my car. Fantastic and fresh - great songs! My thanks to you!
Great vid, Add some Albert Collins that's another ball game
Those guys are good, but I'm more of an Ed King fan. I guess rock is in my DNA as well.
Thanks for the great clip! We are very proud that you are using our Nobels pedals! Thanks a lot.....www.nobels.com

First Tim!
Congratulations thank you for being first!
But...What amp(s) did you use for this video?
So, I just noticed Miles using up stroke picking on those emphasised bend notes and Tim uses down stroke. Interesting. I think Miles' upstrokes seem to get more attack out of them.
These cats are hot!
Holy fuck I have to buy a prs
you have forgotten ricky king
You should add Mr. Marcus King to that list.
Feckerhead oh yes, best new guitarist out there!
Too short a video man! Long live the blues
YOU HAVE THE COOLEST LIVINGROOM EVER! Whats the secret to getting your wife to let you keep it that way instead of banishing you to your basment?
They don't make strings like they used to!!!
Nice try
