my first song was 6up 5oh copout i was like, 'okay, thats gotta be one of his best songs, album starter you know?' needless to say normal album blew me out of the water i have yet to listen to his albums after normal album because i am so addicted
That is SUCH a mood, I was so obsessed with the normal album exclusively so long. It’s still my favourite, but I absolutely recommend his others! “Self-Ish” is a very close second favourite
my first song was 2econd 2ight 2eer because my strangely-violent-ex-best-friend’s cousin was listening to it and needless to say he became my special interest and i know every fact about him available to the public and have heard every song including those of his old bands
The first song I heard was Hand My Shovel I am going in, someone told me one of my OCS was "giving will wood and the tapeworms" now that I'm addicted, that's one of the highest compliments I have received 😭
It started with the silly "Memento Mori" animated MAP, and two years later i have the tapeworm from "Everything is a lot" on my wall, a cool ass t-shirt on the way, and i'm working on an English presentation entirely around this beautiful man. Wow.
one day i found this playlist on spotify, it was this huge collaboration playlist that anyone could add to, it was over 200 hours long and had tons of songs in it. i was looking through some of the songs that people added, and one of them was i/me/myself. i got really excited because i had heard about will wood before but never heard any of his music. so i began listening to the song. i definitely liked it but i was hesitant to add it to my own playlist at first. but then THAT part came on (iykyk) and i almost immediately added it to my playlist afterwards 💀 i wasn't sure if i was still going to like the song later on but i ended up really loving it. i would always get super excited when i would listen to my playlist and it would come on. problem is, i couldn't be bothered to check out any more of will wood's music. but then a couple of months later i finally decided to check out some more songs. to be honest though i wasn't super into it at first. but i kept trying to listen to more until will wood's music finally began to grow on me, and now i'm kind of obsessed lmao although i can't remember the first time i listened to this song, i do remember the first time i listened to it after forgetting about it for a little while, as soon as will wood began singing i was like, "OMG THIS SONG IS SO GOOD WHY ISN'T IT IN MY PLAYLIST ALREADY" 😭😭 i can only imagine what it would've been like if that were the first song i listened to 💀
I loved this story omg and honestly? Pretty similar to how I first started listening to ww as well. I found I/me/myself in a playlist and I listened to it a bit, not really taking too much interest but eventually it grew on me and I ended up listening to more of his music. Slowly at first, bc I was hesitant with new music, but now I’m obsessed as well. This song in particular wasn’t immediately my favourite, but I listened to it properly eventually and I realised it was literally amazing so now it’s one of my favourites
I literally saw the meme videos for Against the Kitchen Floor come across my recommendations not 1 hour ago, and I'm fucking hooked. this shit is accurate as all hell
My intro to will wood was dr sunshine is dead (shocker) but then i blocked that from my memory for no reason. One day i was just sitting with my thoughts and then i was reminded of will wood so out of curiosity i searched up will wood and the tapeworms just to see what else they made other than dr sunshine. I went on his album everything is a lot and listened to my first true will wood song. Aikido! (Neurotic/Erotic). His nice and soothing voice was right up my alley since before will, i used to be obsessed with songs such as Sweet Cream, Wet Dream by harley poe so i checked out more like White Knuckle Jerk (Where Do You Get Off?), Red Moon, Lysergide Daydream, and Skeleton Appreciation Day in Vestal N.Y (Bones). Ever since then Ive been hooked to will wood and am just starting to listen to his self-ish album and his normal album
I’ve been listening to Will Wood since about 2020 and the first song I saw was 6up 5oh Copout on a random tiktok. It still remains one of my three favourites to this day (Tomcat Disposables, Love me normally, 6up 5oh copout)
Thank you to that one person who animated Peter from Your Boyfriend over Laplace's Angel and that one Jon Arbuckle meme for introducing me to this beautiful music. I've pounded my head against the kitchen floor to the beat of his songs so much that I've developed severe head trauma.
The first song from Mr. Wood Guy I heard is The Main Character in an AMV of all places. I instantly got hooked on it. Literally listening ALMOST everyday (to the point I got kinda sick of it). And to say I like the lyric is an understatement, the lyric is just so well written that I need to search some of the stuff he said. Then I start listening to his other songs and realized all his lyrics are like that. I'm not saying I'm obsessed or anything but LORD this is the most I've cared about an artists in my entire life.
My first song was i/me/myself, then throughout last year I was listening to a few of his songs, then december last year i properly got into his music and now ive listened to every album many times and own the suburbia overture hoodie!!
The first song I listened to by Will Wood was Memento Mori and I had grown obsessed with it until my friend showed me more songs by him that I instantly fell in love with (current favorite is Euthanasia)
I can't remember what my first song was, but I think it was either 2nd 2ight 2eer or Hand me My Shovel I'm Going In and Idk which it was but it was exactly like this experience
my first song was i/me/myself which i didnt find too weird but i did listen on loop, but after hearing love, me normally i was sucked in and have never recovered
It all started around a few months ago, when i developed feelings for a guy, who also listens to Will, and so i really wanted to really understand what he likes etc. so i checked his stories, and found Half-Decade Hangvover playing so i said "let's try this one!!" After playing it, my brain was **kaboom** THEN my second song was Love me, Normally (which FUNFACT I found it one day before Valentine's day because he posted it on his stories) and that song. *ULTRA MEGA EXPLOSION LITERALLY MINDBLOWING INSANELY INSANE* *boom* AND THEN this guy around 6-7 later was taken... and then what song i played for over a million times while having my very first heartbreak??? YES LOVE ME, NORMALLY!!! (don't ask about this crush though, it was hell for me and kind of still is) My recent favourites are Chemical Overreaction and Hand me my shovel im going in! (which they're like an injection of adrenaline being inserted into your veins) and honestly rn I want to thank this crush for at least letting me know about him :)
Being on drugs and listening to Will Wood for the first same is the same feeling change my mind.
Were you on drugs writing this?

The backgorund is very accurate ro the usual psychedelics aesthetic Will uses, or a tleast used for SELFiSH

As someone who just started listening to Will Wood, I can confirm that this is completely accurate.

My first song was 2econd 2ight 2eer, only a small part but still made me feel like that-
Same. Thanks to a animation i knew that song, starting my obsession for Will Wood's songs
My first ww song was memento mori and I've been hooked on his music ever since and I do not regret it
Accurate that this is the song I first listened to, I became obsessed because of this song.
That was 6 days ago

My first song was Against the Kitchen Floor.
I was having really bad anxiety and was sitting up....

THE WAY I GOT INTO WILL WOOD BECAUSE OF THE SONG WITH FIVE NAMES
My first song was i/me/myself, then throughout last year I was listening to a few of his songs, then december last year i properly got into his music and now ive listened to every album many times and own the suburbia overture hoodie!!
My first song was 222 and gotta say... even the music video didn't prepare me for what I was about to go through
First time and literally what made me know him is this video!
I’m honoured!!
The first song I listened to by Will Wood was Memento Mori and I had grown obsessed with it until my friend showed me more songs by him that I instantly fell in love with (current favorite is Euthanasia)
