CA is not an accounting course. CA is everything in the business. You have knowledge of the least level to highest level of an organisation, market, management, and everything. Just because A refers to Accounting, it is not only accounting.

Being a ca aspirant and in ca intermediate i can relate to him after 8 hours of lectures daily and doing revision is heck of a thing. But i enjoy it
but the sad truth is most of the ca's dont apply those principals in real life because they dont learn a single topic in deep sense

CA is always worth it because our duties are established by the laws and not by companies. Almost every relevant commerical law specifies the word 'chartered accountant as per the CA Act 1949'

I'm not an entrepreneur.
I'm a final student and I observed that in the job market you need much more skills than you acquire in Articleship.
The knowledge you acquired is not much useful for job but for sure useful in CA firms for the purpose of consulting.
CA is just one professional degree,no matter how difficult it is to qualify. I'm working in Government sector and I will say go for CA but having MBA will also be an added advantage considering the value addition of soft skills. I cracked the competitive exam because of the rigorousness given by the CA course. If you look for stable revenue sources then join Ph.D. in IIM after completing final exam and you will be more suited as an academician because the rigorousness of the course was learnt by you already. It is worthy to work in B-schools as an accounting professor with the salary of ₹1 lakh + per month.

Bro that's the challenge one has to go through. That's exactly what a person needs to learn. The consistency, the hardwork. Not everyone can do it. And who says it makes you kitabi kidaa? Definitely you haven't known any CA personally. It's not like you gotta focus 24/7 for like rest of the life. Unlike other courses, you just gotta be consistent for what, 5 years max? But the financial independence, the respect, the time you get once you achieve it is incomparable.

As a ca student i completely disagree. What we learn about valuation is a joke. If u want actual finance knowledge then do cfa. CA just makes a better person and a better human being it makes us man of steel where we can tolerate anything. But technically they don't teach what should be thought. It's impossible for a CA to do pricing of otc derivatives. Impossible. Only CFAs do that.

In commerce, CA is definitely the best in terms of respect, pay and the character that is built by doing CA

I have consistently been good in academics and have topped my class but I found no specific interest in science(although i am first in my class in physics and chemistry this year)
I aspire to go the US and build a career in finance(investment banking) for starters and become an entreprenur afterwards
So I'm deciding whether to opt for commerce or science next year it's Hella confusing
My other friends who want to enter finance are doing engineering for undergrad but is finance career possible without engineering
