WickedBinge did a similar list.
Can you do a top 10 times Samurai Jack had to be censored list, WatchMojo, please????
I'm surprised that FOX never censored the many times where the characters exposed their but-cheeks.
Or as Troy McClure says,"hardcore n-dity"
An adult strangling a child wasn't censored, but all THIS was?
Merica. Murder is ok but if we see a middlefingee, nipple or other nude body part instant blocked
What censors consider content worthy of censorship is...strange (to put it mildly).
I mean sometimes you gotta strangle a child 🤷♂️
It's relatable
@@KingOfHarlots86 It works for me!
The joys of owning the Simpsons on DVD. No one is going to tell me that I can no longer watch an episode because someone got butthurt over it.
I wouldn't be soo sure of that, here in the UK the My Little Pony F.I.M. episode "Bat's" from series 4 is not on the UK DVD Release.
@@lenmarfox2947 have you tried 3rd party streaming?
Same here!
dvd episodes aren't censored which is good
“Homer’s Phobia” is one of my most ‘Simpsons’ episodes.
Zap. Zap, zap.
i love the bit when he screams after marge says the word
Hot stuff, coming though.
Dad why did you bring me to a gay steel mill?
My first thought is “then Family Guy must have entire seasons of episodes that are locked in a vault somewhere”
Good. Keep em there.
They actually do have a lot more of that than the Simpson’s. Also there’s Seth McFarlands Cavalade of Cartoon Comedy which is kinda just a ton of failed fg skits
FG sucks
@@VxW2020 Cool. Don't watch it then. I'm still going to.
And South Park
I really miss the MJ episode on Disney+. Such a wonderful, beautiful and funny episode. It's removal is absolutely stupid.
Agreed
It was a great episode and it’s stupid they removed it
the censorships on this whole list were stupid. People are just pathetic cry babies who can't take a joke about anything
@@omfgSHORYUKEN Tell me about it.
Especially now the Neverland case has been completely dismissed
Shame future generations won't get to hear the masterpiece that is Lisa's birhday song

Not sure if it qualifies, but the Simpsons go to NY was also banned due to the world trade center visit.
Which of the episodes that involves going to New York, the one if I was Homer going to get his car from New York which was a prediction of 9/11 when Lisa shows the newspaper, or is it the other one involves Bart finding his ex
@@chimpo961 definitely the car. Illegally parked at one world trade center. He lent it to Barney as the designated driver and things apparently went arwy.
@@chimpo961 I'd also say not as much a prediction but banned more out of the sensitivity not just for New Yorkers but many others. Ironically i missed seeing it in reruns, I'm a NY'er, and the episode reminded me of happier, funny times.
I was waiting for that episode when Homer was going to get his car illegally parked between the two towers... Was so damn sure they would mentioned it but no
It's on disney+ though, it's part of the simpsons predict the future collection
What would happen if stuff like Homer strangling Bart was censored cause who would want to see a man strangling his own son?
I'm actually surprised no one hasn't bothered about that since it's I guess a classic Simpsons gag
Domestic violence is fine as long as it stays at home.
That’s why that despite having a Disney plus subscription, I will never part with my Simpson DVDs.
That's probably the reason they ban certain cartoons on TV and streaming TV, so people can go out and buy the completes on DVD.
@@chrisrj9871 Won't they lose more subscribers by doing that? Makes no sense.
1:38 you forgot the best line from Marge: "Homer! You have it set on w****!"
My favorite part in an episode of Tree House of horror 'the Shinning' {I think it's season 6}..... Homer going crazy still has me howling with the faces he pulls... 😜😂
Shhh!!! You wanna get sued?!
HUNUMINA!!
Scaredy cat.
“No tv and no beer make homer something something”
Give me the bat!
"Stark Raving Dad" needs to be on Plus.
"Partial Terms of Endearment" too along with those 5 other Sunny in Philly episodes. They need to be on Disney.
Lift the ban on the Michael Jackson episode as he was cleared of any wrongdoing after his death.
"Leaving Neverland" is easily debunkable. Same with "Allen vs Farrow." Accusation does not equal guilt.
@@a.champagne6238 I agree. He was NEVER guilty in my opinion and I thought Leaving Neverland was a sad attempt to ruin his reputation even in death.
@@a.champagne6238 - Like Homer in the sexual harassment episode.

Suggestion: Top 10 Less Known, Underrated Comic Book Heroes Before Superman.
So before 1938??
@@ODogMcGee
There were literally all 17 pulp fiction heroes, masked/costumed avengers and superpowered heroes between 1863 and 1936.
@@ODogMcGee Well yeah. I mean, Superman's not really the first superhero to exist.
Too bad about "A Streetcar named Marge" being on this list, I thought that episode was good, not because of the play, but by how fun it was to see how Maggie got her pacifier back. I did not even know about the insult of New Orleans until watching this.
If any of you are offended by The Simpsons then you’re WAY too soft.
Same with Futurama and Family Guy
Another time they were censored was in an episode where Lisa takes pills to help with her depression. The pills make Lisa see every bad thing has a big smiley face. Well there was a scene where snake shoots chief Wiggum. And as Wiggum falls to the ground Lisa sees a bunch of smiley faces shooting out of Wiggum's chest.
I find it ironic and hilarious that Disney + boasts (lies) that they have "every Simpson episode ever!" when they, in fact, DON'T!!
Yes I agree if you read my recent comment, Disney Plus isn’t living up to their word. Plus why wouldn’t they ban the City Of New York vs Homer Simpson episode on it which the episode was originally banned from syndication after 9/11 happened but HAVE it on Disney Plus? It doesn’t make any damn sense. Plus the whole Apu controversy as well. If people truly had a problem with Apu, WHY didn’t they back in 1992 which the character came to be? Otherwise they would ban ALL the episodes involving Apu as the main central of the episode. They didn’t ban them. But ban an episode just because of Michael Jackson and Brazil? Disney Plus clearly promotes it but clearly lying saying they air ALL the episodes which they don’t. It’s ridiculous and people need to realize that you can find the damn episodes on dvd and cartoon websites. Anyone can find those episodes and Disney Plus needs to stop 🛑 lying about it.
I liked the Micheal Jackson episode. The song he and Bart wrote ("Happy Birthday Lisa, Lisa It's Your Birthday) was rather catchy.
Stark Raving Dad is an all time classic episode and the allegations in "Leaving Neverland" have been debunked. Fans need to pressure Disney/FXX to bring it back.
Michael Jackson is overrated.
@@freya8133that is irrelevant to the conversation
Yeah, my mum still believes those lies that were told about him too
The MJ ban is probably the most ridiculous on the list. Very sad how the creators of such a witty show jumped to their feet to censor an episode based on the lies of a few extortionists, years later.
Odd Fun Fact:
The Simpsons aired on cartoon network in the Philippines
I miss the old episodes but The Simpsons will go on until Matt Groening decides to put the curtains down
Oh, how we love ‘The Simpsons.’
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! The best 12 minute spent today..!!
Shows the NRA never actually watched the episode fully. It shows the NRA being responsible and saving the day in a good guys with guns scenario
The episode portrayed _all_ gun owners as buffoons like Homer Simpson. The reality is that most gun owners are responsible people, and guns are used for good far more than evil.
@@djm5687 the group kicked homer out for his irresponsible gun use then saved the day at the end of the episode and showed a gun hesitant Marge being won over and keeping the gun. If anything, it showed NRA members distancing themselves from idiots like Homer and holding themselves to standards. If it weren’t for them complaining about the episode I’d say they wrote part of it
They also censored the 'guns episode' of Gargoyles despite it being a message about responsibility.
@@djm5687 episode was written by a gun owner.
As I see it, homer was the most irresponsible one, everyone else in there with a gun had some crazy ideas with guns, but they still used their guns for protection only, hence why they kicked homer out of the club!
Stark raving dad was one of my favorite simpsons episode. I can't believe they did this
I do find it amazing how people can get upset by a cartoon show it's not real people it's just a cartoon show
There was an episode where they had to bleep out Homer's line "that's bull @$#%& man!" 😅
The rio episode is a little over the top but Brazil is dangerous indeed (especially Rio) and has a lot of social and political problems. I know that because i am brazillian.
Americans learned the truth during the years Brazil hosted FIFA and the Olympics.
Wait...a PG rated movie or series can show a REAL person flipping the bird...so why would it require a TV-MA rating to show a CARTOON CHARACTER doing it??
Oh please, this show is still basically Full House compared to the likes of Family Guy, South Park, and Rick and Morty!!
It is sad that all we can seem to do as a people is be outraged and offended. Satire generally has its roots in some truth so rather than complaining about being mocked, figure out a way to FIX what is being mocked.
I'm surprised that FOX never censored the many times where the characters exposed their but-cheeks.

What do you think the Simpsons would be like if these shocking events never happened so that they wouldn't be censored?
Interesting video WatchMojo
I don't care that it was censored. The Cartridge Family is still one of my all-time favorite episodes.
"No offense mom, but that was pretty cool." . Lol
Leaving Neverland is one of the most questionable documentaries ever made 🙄
With actual shitstains like Pill Cosby and R Kelly you’d think they’d investigate them and not defame a dead man.
I wouldn't even call it a documentary,as those are typically based in reality
I remember that “Love, Springfieldian Style” got censored in the UK because of the “Sid and Nancy” segment where Bart repeatedly sang the word b*ll*cks. Apparently the creators weren’t aware of how bad a curse word that is in Britain.
One doesn't take that word lightly over there, but not many people outside the UK see it as a big deal
Exactly, Americans use that word as a normal expletive when they don't want to use a more recognizable American swearword
A prank call was censored "Mike Rotch"
Can you do comic book origin of Marvel's Alistair Smythe the Ultimate Spider Slayer?
You might want to scope out other channels like Variant Comics for your comic book origins fix... Doesn't look like WMojo will be doing them again for a while.
#1 should be that childish and idiotic censorship of the Michael Jackson episode that unless you own it on DVD, you will never be able to view again.
when trying to go woke goes wrong.
Happy birthday Lisa
You have to own an *old* DVD copy to find the episode. From what I know, newer reprints eliminate the episode "Stark Raving Dad".

top 10 times simpsons characters turned into hypocritical versions of themselves in later seasons i.e marge post sea 9. well start with the cartridge family for where marge started the hypocrite turn.
The whole show went downhill after the early 2000s.
"God Needs Sponsors" turned Lisa into a Buddhist instead of her doing what Jesus would do.
They be acting like when Marge wanted to ban violent cartoons like Itchy and Scratchy XD
Was New Orleans really that upset over The Simpsons? Jeez.

I think it would.
Something much worse
Poor unicorn lol 😆😆😆😆😆😆
The Rio episode is an absolute classic.
The MJ episode had one of the most touching Bart/Lisa sibling moments, that one and where Bart uses his lawsuit money to buy the Bleeding Gums Murphy record
Stark raving dad is my fave episode.
Honestly, I watched the episode where Homer Jay Simpson met the big guy who thinks he’s Michael Jackson before singing “Happy Birthday, Lisa” few times when I was an adolescent boy.
if you're at least 25+, we all did. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that episode
Rip jackson
The Japan episode IS on DVD… I just watched it recently
I have the Battling Seizure Robots episode on DVD it’s on the 10th season DVD set
Who do you think is the most flawed character in the Simpsons?
Mmm, Homer. Definitely
If not the most flawed, Lisa is the most irritating character.
Homer, I can see your doodle!
Shut up Flanders.
1:00 killed me tbh
I'm still mad that they won't air the Michael Jackson episode on Disney+ or even Amazon Prime. I mean, they still show the Mel Gibson episode and Michael was never convicted of anything. Thank God for good ol DVD box sets
Mmmm Donut. . . . . . DOUGH!!!
As a Brazilian i say: they didn't lie.
In the UK, Channel 4 censored some simpsons episodes like:
S9 E22
S27 E4
S9 E25
S20 E4
S20 E1
However in 2012, Channel 4 censored S20 E1 differently
The Simpsons is My Favorite Show
I think the New Orleans song was the number 1 time the Simpsons got censored.

S20 E1
however In 2012, channel 4 censored S20 E1 differently
And That Cartoon Network series Regular show has been Censored A LOT in the UK.

That’s a lotta D’oh moments
Does anyone know if James L. Brooks is related to Mel Brooks?
i remember the treehouse of horror where lisa had a dream that all the teachers and principal were shredding the kids in a giant blender and drinking their blood. then lisa wakes up and a horribly bad smelling skunk turns them inside out and they sing about it
Bart was having the dream, and it was fog seeping through his bedroom window.
Even if he did do it…You know what I mean??? It’s Micheal Jackson!!!!
I think that it is important to *separate the art from the artist.*
@@OAT86 I'm pretty sure it's from early South Park.
To remove Apu is censorship too.

It sounds like they're saying "Incest, Peppermints"
well due to how the fingers are arranged technacly simpson characters do have a middle finger and it is the one right next to the pinky
In Australia on free-to-air TV when they showed an early episode called Lisa gets a friend, Homer goes to a convenience store to buy fireworks and first buys porn mags and a enema kit and takes it back to Marge ,they edit this part out.
Should've kept the Murdoch poster!
I wanted to watch Stark Raving Dad since my birthday
Bart and MJ were singing Happy BDay to Lisa
I'm Brazilian and I love the Rio episode lol
The seizure thing was censored because a banned episode of pokemon caused mass seizures

I guess Simpsons just need to be censored all day😀
hi guys. you won't find the Season 3 episode "stark raving dad" on Disney+ in Germany as well.. just checked

The Simpsons had done dirty with New Orleans, Japan and Brazil, and they paid the price.
