When you buy directly from their website they have promo codes to even lower the price more! I was wondering if it would be possible to exchange the BMS for one with low temp charging by just unplugging the harness at the BMS and plugging it into the new BMS? @@loucinci3922 I have 2 3000w inverters that run most of the house. I have 4 batteries in parallel on 1 inverter and 2 in parallel on the other. The biggest items I run are the washer and deep freezer, I also use AC sparingly in the summer. Other then that all lights, all tv's and air cleaner. I have a smaller stand alone system of older agm batteries that powers a fridge in the garage. Our electric bill compared to last year as I was building the system was recently down 58%. I have about 2.2kw of solar panels charging the batteries. I'm in the NE so limited sun otherwise I could possibly get off the grid. I started out with 1 solar panel and one charge controller and used batteries from my work place. I realize 12 volts is not the most efficient but that's what I started with and it does the job.

    I have been using a 100ah Ampere Time all year to power a 12v trolling motor on a fishing boat. I do a lot of Kokanee fishing. At typical trolling speed I can go all day at 1.3 to 1.5 mph. I am drawing about 8 - 9 amp hours at that speed. Bump it up to over 2 mph and the draw goes up to closer to 20 ah. I have used it on average 5 to 8 hours every week since March. Absolutely no problems what-so-ever. Very pleased with the product. I bought it on E-Bay in February or March for $279. Yes, $279. What a deal. I only wish I would have bought a 200 ah as I like the idea of having a larger gas tank.

      @@ts3871 I have the Motorguide Xi3 55 lb thrust with variable speed remote. Its really cool because when I am setting the downriggers up in the back of the boat, I can keep control of the boat from there. How many hours does it last for you to troll during fishing?

    • @rickw9169
      @rickw9169 Před rokem

      @@ia6980 Totally depends on the speed and wind conditions. If the wind is relatively calm, I am normally drawing less than 10 amps per hour @ 1.3 to 1.5 mph. I have been out as many as 6 hours and used about 60% of capacity and as few as 4 hours on a very windy day and used 80%. My average day is about 5 to 6 hours on the water, running the motors for between 4 and 6 hours. I normally consume about 50% of the battery capacity. Hope that helps. I have a Victron smart shunt and it very accurately tells me where I am in consumption, amps used and amps remaining. Pushing it to 2 + mph definitely draws a lot more amps, 20 to 30 amps per hour range and would probably only run for 2 to 2.5 hours before depleting the battery. For trolling speeds above 1.75 mph, I use the main gas motor.

      It's important that the cells inside not be oriented with their terminals facing downward. You can't tell which orientation the cells are inside the case without opening it up (which is NOT recommended). The manufacturer guarantees they will always be oriented correctly if the battery posts are up, so this is what they put in their manual. If you'd like to put it on the side, perhaps a quick email to their support center would confirm whether or not other orientations are acceptable.

I had some of you Karens offering free guitar and singing tips to me after I`ve gone through nearly six years of physical therapy and pain management from a car accident and just started playing again and recorded my first attempt at an entire song on a new guitar with a different neck. Geniuses!

    These batteries make buying leadacid worthless.. u have to keep in mind for every 10ah of Lifepo4 u need 30ah of lead acid.
    I recently made a pack for my ups with 4yr old Lifepo4 cells that were sold on a discount as 5000mah cells but all tested out as 6000mah , 24v 12ah pack i made and it ran my ups for about 45min on 300w load.. & that runtime according to apc's website can be achieved when the ups is having 27ah of lead acid..
    Each of those 9ah lead acid batteries cost 30$ & so it is 180$ to buy leadacids while i can have similar run time for 40$ from newold stock cells.. if i buy oem leadacids from apc that would be 350$ for 3x apc rbc124..
    Leadacids are now only useful in starter battery!

    I wish the battery was measured by Watts, almost all appliances list their watt usage. So AMP Hours does not make sense to me. Just my thoughts.

    • @LithiumSolar
      @LithiumSolar  Před 2 lety

      I used to report capacities in watt-hours in the very beginning of my channel. I switched to amp-hours because it accounts for losses in the wiring, circuit breakers, etc. Measuring in watt-hours does not.

      Of course. My brother has 4 chins in his ez go golf cart. Works like a charm. I'm looking for a cheap 48v cart to put a set of 4 of my solar storage batteries in. It would serve a dual purpose. Drive around and when I'm not driving it then it would be plugged into the solar system to provide power for the house. A portable battery in a sense
