This battery is already fairly popular. If you have one, please let us know how it has been working out!
Hi, we want to invite you review our LiFePO4 battery!
I got mine last week so far its been fantastic
The 10A brick charger does get hot to the touch though
@@JOHNDANIEL1 If you know that, it seems like a no brainer to post the address and the brands. Have at it. I'll +1.
@@JOHNDANIEL1 Thanks ... that was very useful. 👍
I’ve recently bought 24 V 100ah from them as well as their charger! Both products are amazing and I’m really happy I chose this brand! When you buy directly from their website they have promo codes to even lower the price more! I was gonna go with SOK battery - but that was $200 more expensive and no discounts were offered - Once again I’m really happy with the battery and a charger I bought from them and I’m really glad I chose this brand
Yep, I got one, works great. Charged it at 65A, no problems. Measured right around 100AH cap. Totally happy.
Thanks for the review. I'm looking forward to your summer projects!
My first LiFePo4 battery arrived today and it was this Ampere! HA! Perfect timing. I plan to connect a Renogy 3K inverter to it for a portable PSU. Need to figure out a charging system. Might have to go back to your mobile power video for good ideas. Good thing you did your test before tear-down - LOL. Thanks for sharing.
I have 4 amp time batteries that have been at work for 1 1/2 years. I just separated them from there position in my 24 volt solar array and every battery has EXACTLY the same voltage an hour after disconnecting them from one another. Wow!! 10,000 watt battery bank and a 2000 watt array.
We bought 2 100ah Ampretime batteries 2 years ago for our small RV and they have performed 100% as they should without any problem. We are currently building a larger RV and will order these again.
Good to know what I got. First year with three and they work great.
Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeves for June 😀👍
Excellent review !
Thanks for all of your videos. Very educational on many topics. I was wondering if it would be possible to exchange the BMS for one with low temp charging by just unplugging the harness at the BMS and plugging it into the new BMS? I would not want to mess with however those cell connectors are attached. It looks like they soldered the hole where a screw would go. Thanks again.
These batteries have been great for me personally...I have 6 200ah currently powering most of my house with 2 more in transit. Never had even one blip of an issue, never completely drained either. These are very powerful! Good review and happy to see they are quality on the inside as well.
What size inverter? Are you using in series (6 maybe not). Assume 12V @ 1200Ah. Cool. What big stuff do you run?
@@loucinci3922 I have 2 3000w inverters that run most of the house. I have 4 batteries in parallel on 1 inverter and 2 in parallel on the other. The biggest items I run are the washer and deep freezer, I also use AC sparingly in the summer. Other then that all lights, all tv's and air cleaner. I have a smaller stand alone system of older agm batteries that powers a fridge in the garage. Our electric bill compared to last year as I was building the system was recently down 58%. I have about 2.2kw of solar panels charging the batteries. I'm in the NE so limited sun otherwise I could possibly get off the grid. I started out with 1 solar panel and one charge controller and used batteries from my work place. I realize 12 volts is not the most efficient but that's what I started with and it does the job.
Great Video! Very thorough! Question, why with this particular battery do they say not to mount it on its side when with most lithium batteries you can mount them however you’d like.?.? What’s your thoughts.?.?
I own ( 3 ) of these "currently". I paid $499.99,$499.99, and $399.99. I emailed them showing an interest in getting a 4th ( hoping to get a discounted price as a return customer. All they would offer was a 5% discount over the current pricing. I'm very happy with them, and was just trying to get a reasonably sizeable discount.
Unfortunately I can't help you there. They gave me a 5% discount code too, which I've shared in the video description. I haven't seen any posted around offering a greater discount.
Thanks for the review.
Excellent video.
I have been using a 100ah Ampere Time all year to power a 12v trolling motor on a fishing boat. I do a lot of Kokanee fishing. At typical trolling speed I can go all day at 1.3 to 1.5 mph. I am drawing about 8 - 9 amp hours at that speed. Bump it up to over 2 mph and the draw goes up to closer to 20 ah. I have used it on average 5 to 8 hours every week since March. Absolutely no problems what-so-ever. Very pleased with the product. I bought it on E-Bay in February or March for $279. Yes, $279. What a deal. I only wish I would have bought a 200 ah as I like the idea of having a larger gas tank.
What trolling motor are you running, and does it have a "Pulse Width Modulation" throttle, like the Minn Kota Riptide series?
@@ts3871 I have the Motorguide Xi3 55 lb thrust with variable speed remote. Its really cool because when I am setting the downriggers up in the back of the boat, I can keep control of the boat from there. It has ample power to push the boat unless the wind is blowing real hard. The boat is a 16' Smokercraft side console and weights about 1200 lbs fully loaded.
How many hours does it last for you to troll during fishing?
@@ia6980 Totally depends on the speed and wind conditions. If the wind is relatively calm, I am normally drawing less than 10 amps per hour @ 1.3 to 1.5 mph. I have been out as many as 6 hours and used about 60% of capacity and as few as 4 hours on a very windy day and used 80%. My average day is about 5 to 6 hours on the water, running the motors for between 4 and 6 hours. I normally consume about 50% of the battery capacity. Hope that helps. I have a Victron smart shunt and it very accurately tells me where I am in consumption, amps used and amps remaining. Pushing it to 2 + mph definitely draws a lot more amps, 20 to 30 amps per hour range and would probably only run for 2 to 2.5 hours before depleting the battery. For trolling speeds above 1.75 mph, I use the main gas motor.
@@rickw9169 How accurate is the spotlock on the Xi3?
I appreciate my Ampere lithium. So thankful lithium batteries finally came down in price! I need a 3rd 100ah now.
Great to hear, they are fantastic batteries!
@@LithiumSolar hey here's a great question for you. My wife and I were just wondering. Why is it, after the sun is out. And the batteries are 100%. By night fall, the battery status is at 12.9-12.8??? Which is 20%
Why do we only get to use 20% of the battery??
thanks for the video, is it possible to build a 5 kwh battery to charge my tesla? I saw a Eco flow battery can do that but is too expensive, thinking if I can build one myself
i'm looking for 36v for my golf cart. Do you think the padding on this model would be the best to cushion the road vibration? Thank you
I’m looking to put a aux battery in my truck to run a sump pump at work when I need to pump out a machine and might get a small fridge/cooler for my truck off of a 1500 or 2000w inverter. What battery would you recommend I get? Thx
Cool. Thx !
When I contacted Ampere Time last month about whether to go with their 24 volt 100 amphr battery or two 12 volts in series for my 24 volt trolling motor they suggested going with the two 12 volts because it had an update BMS… do you know what is updated?
How about the newer "Li time 12V 230Ah Plus", any testing? It seems like it should be a good battery for the money.
Do you believe there's any issue with the BMS? given that it's such a generic one with a little heatsink plate.
What brand and wattage is your inverter? I look through many your video, but I couldn’t find it. Can you share it? Thank you
I'd love to see a review of the MPP vs EG4 lineup!
Are you referring to the LV6548 inverter? Or something different?
@@LithiumSolar Yes I was referring to the entire line of inverters, but maybe the LV6048WP vs the EG46500EX especially.
cutting the balance wires :-) YES
thanks
I specify that I have a 70 lb brushless electric motor that runs on 12v, is the 12v 100mh or the 12.8 mini model better?
I want to skip using the BMS in my ampere Time 200 ah plus battery I already took it apart and whatnot I want to use my kisae inverter charger to charge the battery directly will it work ? the inverter charger has a lithium profile
if a batter has a High Temp sensor in the BMS, but no low temp, is there an external way to doing this that you can recommend? Keep in mind, I am not one to open a battery case and do some adjusting. :)
Some charge controllers have a low temp cut off. My 40a Renogy MPPT controller came with a temperature sensor specifically for this purpose.
Can you review chargers? There are many options and price points. Some have a fan and some not for example
I see the limit on wiring these in series (4), but is there a limit on wiring them in parallel? I'd like to wire 8 of them together for 800 amps.
Theoretically there is no limit provided you are using the proper over-current protection (not covered in this video) with regards to interrupt capacity.
can this battery be used with a regular 12 volt 30 amp lead-acid charger?
Hello I would like to use the 100ah 12v in a car audio system with a 370 amp alternator pushing 8000watts do you know if this battery would work for my system?
These are typically limited individually to 100 or 200 amps depending on specs.
For anyone that hasn't seen there now, LI time batteries
Do they have Batería de Lithium 72V100Ah Unizuki for my electric scooter??
I recently purchased this battery and see (after charging) the resting voltage settles to 12.9v after few days. I did a capacity test at 13.35 and it was 100ah. All the charts tell me it should rest a half a volt higher. LiTime service isn't responding. Any thoughts?
I want to build an emergency hurricane system for a small Frigidaire 5000 BTU air conditioner using a 12 volt 300 amp hour battery by this brand. Not sure what I need to complete it. Was thinking about a 60 amp MPPT charge controller and 1500 watt inverter. I have three 100 watt panels and one 200 watt. Any ideas to keep me from destroying something? I have MC4 cables and parallel connectors. How should I add fuses to this or other safety measures? I need to learn this before mid August but I`m confused and don`t know exactly what to do.
@Danang Alta Thank you.
I would like to have a all in one inverter that I can plug my 24v 3100w solararray in and not use the Ac hookup. Can you tell me what I need?
GroWatt has one.
Hello, I am building a van electrical system with a 2000 watt inverter/charger and want to add a battery capacity of 200ah. What would be the best way to do this, one 200ah battery with 100A BMS or two 100ah batteries with 100A BMS's. I guess another option would be a 200ah battery with a 200A BMS. Would the two 100ah/100Amp BMS batteries option allow you to draw 200Amps total? As you can tell by this question I do not know much on this subject, so any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I live in an rv, one battery means, if something goes wrong. No power.
And limited buy bms. 3 in parallel means 300ah discharge, and if one has an issue still have 200ah.
I just received my 2 brand new 100ah Ampere Time batteries. They tested 13.25v each, When I put them side-by-side they are definitely bowed out in the center of the batteries they don't sit flush against each other. Is this a problem or is it just cheap plastic it bows out on either side of the batteries
You can see that there is dense foam material all around the cells within the box. The foam is what is causing the 'bowing' you are seeing, not the battery cells. The battery case is just plastic with very little rigidity.
Looks like they could put at least 2 more cells in that case,
do they have larger capacity batteries?
i like my zooms which probably are the same as this brand . wished they used smaller cases for a smaller form factor.
Yes, they sell a couple larger capacity batteries
I commented your thoughts on mounting this battery on its side. The manual says not to, but I want your thoughts on it.?.? Works better for my set up on the long side….
It's important that the cells inside not be oriented with their terminals facing downward. You can't tell which orientation the cells are inside the case without opening it up (which is NOT recommended). The manufacturer guarantees they will always be oriented correctly if the battery posts are up, so this is what they put in their manual. If you'd like to put it on the side, perhaps a quick email to their support center would confirm whether or not other orientations are acceptable.
how can i install 8 batteries if they only allow 4 together?
Does the low temp cutoff simply mean I cannot charge the battery when below freezing?
Correct
Great video. I live in a great mobile home and would like to put an off grid system together to handle my freezer, fridge, some outlets in case of a grid breakdown. What would keep my place running day to day in case of an emergency
Great stuff. How can I send you a link to a battery I’d like you to test.
If the URL is being filtered by CZcams, there is an email address in the video description you can use. Or you can just tell me the name of it here and I can search for it.
For a marine application, would it be possible to connect this battery in parallel to my existing lead acid, so that I might have both engine start and deep cycle functionality? If hooked up that way, would the LiFePO4 keep the lead acid fully charged?
have you tested their self-heating version yet?
Not yet but I do have one here. Check back in about a week :)
Should also include Walmart Online as a source.
Questions:
÷ Does it have an automatic cutoff for low voltage to protect itself, or do we need to pay extra for a "smart" version ?
> Can it be used in a car or truck, and if so how many CCA can it put out ? And does it require a proprietary charger ?
It has low-voltage protection. It cannot be used as an engine-starting battery. It requires a charger for LiFePO4 batteries but nothing proprietary.

Fwiw, i'm looking for a portable 50Ah model to power medical equipment during power outages. This tech seems perfect, but i gotta wait for prices to fall by at least a third from where theyre currently at.
I currently use a sealed lead acid deep cycle (optima yellow top) that's 12v 65ah, and able to jump my car if needed, but the sucker is HEAVY.

Bought 2 of the 100AH 12v, returned them both, they were dead in 2 hours of trolling on the lake, My AGM batteries last 4 hours. Customer Service was decent, they kept telling me I didn't know how to charge batteries and demanded I use their charger, even sending me one when I told them "no". Despite that, they kept in contact with me and once I put a battery monitor on them and proved that the batteries were not holding 100AH at full charge they sent the return label and even refunded the money as soon as FedEx checked in the boxes.
That's interesting to know, cuz i ordered one for trolling also, ill test and see how itll hold, i have standard battery and it lasts about 3-4hrs with moderate use.
I can’t deal with such bullshit. I live in Japan and dealing with support gets complicated.
From personal experience a lead acid battery charger will not fully charge a lithium. I had to buy a specific lithium charger
Yes you must use correct lithium chargers. Have had an 100ah for 3 months now on heavy tournament rigged kayak. Run 8 hours all day using only 20 % capacity…..So far so good, will see
Have you seen any difference in this battery as far as components or quality go as the Chinese usually go with the cheapest priced components.

These batteries make buying leadacid worthless.. u have to keep in mind for every 10ah of Lifepo4 u need 30ah of lead acid.
I recently made a pack for my ups with 4yr old Lifepo4 cells that were sold on a discount as 5000mah cells but all tested out as 6000mah , 24v 12ah pack i made and it ran my ups for about 45min on 300w load.. & that runtime according to apc's website can be achieved when the ups is having 27ah of lead acid..
Each of those 9ah lead acid batteries cost 30$ & so it is 180$ to buy leadacids while i can have similar run time for 40$ from newold stock cells.. if i buy oem leadacids from apc that would be 350$ for 3x apc rbc124..
Leadacids are now only useful in starter battery!
And they`re heavy as hell too.
I wish the battery was measured by Watts, almost all appliances list their watt usage. So AMP Hours does not make sense to me. Just my thoughts.
I used to report capacities in watt-hours in the very beginning of my channel. I switched to amp-hours because it accounts for losses in the wiring, circuit breakers, etc. Measuring in watt-hours does not.
Can you help me? Please.😭
Test Dr. prepare battery.
Is anyone here buying these for golf cart conversions?
Of course. My brother has 4 chins in his ez go golf cart. Works like a charm. I'm looking for a cheap 48v cart to put a set of 4 of my solar storage batteries in. It would serve a dual purpose. Drive around and when I'm not driving it then it would be plugged into the solar system to provide power for the house. A portable battery in a sense
