  • I was INDIVIDUATING before I knew about INDIVIDUATION...
    In this video, I discuss my story which led me from being a TV weatherman to finding my soul and finally connecting with Carl Jung.
    I've searched for truth and meaning since I was a young boy.
    Just when it all seemed black and meaningless, I started noticing another within.
    This video will cover many topics relevant in today's times, including modern wester culture, EGO inflation, the news media, shadow & inner child work, detachment, inner work, the logos, Parmenides, and much more.
    If you have any questions or would like to share your journey to Self or Jung, email info@humbleumedia.com

    Beautiful! I also see that the The Book of Job nails the individual experience. Revelations appears to describe the phenomena within the mass. I worked in media for 25 years and your story resonates on so many levels. "I have been to hell and back and let me tell you it was wonderful" - Louis Bourgeois.

      @@HumbleUMedia Yes, I have read it. Can I ask if you have read Edward Edinger's "Encounter with the Self"? It's a Jungian commentary on Blake's illustrations of the Book of Job. It's a slim and perfect gem! BTW It is so pleasant to meet you in the same liminal space 🙂🤝♥

    Listening to this was like a retelling of my own years long search…the anxiety, synchronicities, the walking, the biking 😂 everything. Every time I would come back to Jung, I would eventually reach the Red Book and something about it would scare the sh out of me! Like deeply frighten me. I still keep coming back to it and it’s a little more gentle each time. Thanks for your work with these videos. More people, younger people, need to be exposed to this information. It’s heavy stuff but definitely needed in the world right now.

    I'm pausing the video to say, Your introduction to this video leads one to Believe there is hope. I sure hope it is within reach. I don't understand how you did this to yourself? You spoke of watching yourself and your projections, what exactly does this mean? Are you saying you watched his and what you thought acted and interacted in the present moment? I'm an old woman now but I feel I'm going through this now and feeling pretty low. I'm grateful for your shared insights. In my humble opinion I believe you to be sharing, The humbling is the knowing that you don't know and this is the beginning of wisdom. Thank you young man

    Thank you so much Joseph. This is a great message about your personal journey. I’m on a similar path and stumbled upon your channel, which I’ve really enjoyed and also getting to know more about Jung. I have since purchased the Red Book and others to understand my own personal experience of seeing beyond the ego structure. To see the truth, you must slay the ego, which is terrifying, but once you break through, mere words cannot describe the love and beauty. Not many people understand what lies hidden deep within ourselves, the intelligence is unbounded. Keep up the good work. 😁👍🏻
    P.s. Meditation and connecting with nature are two very important keys and also having the right intention.

    I've been listening to your channel for a while now. I paused it at 1:34. I have to say I've experienced so many synchronicities over the last several months of what feels like a life long journey. I was just talking to a friwnd about memories of my childhood the same. That I'd be talking to lage groups of people on a stage, I hate the limelight or any attention as far as that goes. I'm curious as to what it means. However, on to listening to the rest. I appreciate your channel btw, sometimes I wish as I listen I could have discussions like this with others and not feel like they want to gouge their ears out.

  • @puffandpatsycat
    @puffandpatsycat Před 2 lety

    Identifying the self by what you do rather than who you are is genetic programming brought on by our ancestors. When the “self” is identified by work, relationship, physical attributes, money, power, greed, sex, ambition it is not supported by The inner core. It is the loss of “I am what I do” that invites the opportunity to finding answers to the question, “ I’m not this am I that?” Having the courage to deep dive into the consciousness of the self and releasing the false ego identification is a humbling journey.
    In her final days, my dying sister tells painful stories of her past, reliving all the pains of those events, blaming others for all the pain she has endured. The opportunity for her to witness her life from a different perspective, a different story, she is not interested.
    I call these stories that keep her in her emotional pain body a loop or moons orbiting around a black hole knowing they will be absorbed into the vast darkness.
    The courage it takes to strip the stories, expose the wounds of the ego, the willingness to find space to explore another possibility…courage to admit that something didn’t work. The courage to be still with the self. The courage to sit in silence is crucial to meeting the self. To truly know thy self. Great courage. The shadow, when viewed from a different perspective, hold great wisdom.
    Thank you for sharing your story. Your vulnerability, your growth, insights and expansions. Keep going.
    During my spiritual evolution I used to say, “I humiliate myself so you don’t have to!” Believing that my humbling path could prevent others from walking that road. I learned later that this humiliation, this humbling is crucial to strip the soul from its false self.
    My goal is to evolve my consciousness so that we, as a species grow and expand to reach its full potential.
    I’m grateful to hear your story. Keep doing what you’re doing.

      My next video on Aion brings more “Greek” into the mix... After I discovered Jung, I was led to Pierre Grimes and his ideas led me to Kingsley.
      I’ve been surprised at Jung’s lack on mention of the spiritual philosophy of the Ancient Greeks to be honest. I’m currently looking into this further... What are your thoughts?

    • @ronniesunshine1115
      @ronniesunshine1115 Před 2 lety +1

      @@HumbleUMedia I just think it may have been the state of scholarship at the time that Jung doesn't go into the Pre-Socratics. He mentions Empedoclese, Parmenides, Heraclitus, Anaxemines etc just in passing. Jung was very familiar with Plato and Neoplatontists and Greek Mysteries. He was familiar with some great scholars of Greek traditions like C. Kerenyi, Walter Otto, Walter Wili through the Eranos conferences. Jung was more interested in Gnostics and Alchemy and the Hermetic tradition. Kingsley's perspective is quite new in regards to the early Greeks.
