This wasn't Duky's first ban by break the terms and conditions already. He made a lots of good contents no doubt, yet not only he cheated the game but also acting innocent really shows a lot of his real character of him. Yeah, true, I even felt reluctant to keep playing when I saw him get banned as I thought it all felt so pointless to put in all those hours if I can potentially lose it all randomly, but turns out the ban was completely legitimate and this kind of thing won't happen to me if I just play the game as it is supposed to be played.

I defended Duky the day of, it really seemed like there was some sort of mass report system (with a very high threshold that was triggered). I thought it was so obvious that someone his size and having gone through this in his first account, would not do something is stupid anymore. But now, he is tripling down on his innocence which pisses me off so much. It upsets me that he thinks this lowly of his friends (mods and vips) and also of his community. He really thinks we are this dense…? I was one of the people who would comment on his videos whenever people got upset of his fast progression, now I feel like a complete idiot.
It’s okay, most people were confused up until that conversation with the GMs. Basically how Nexon bans people is like a flowchart. Automatic bans are timed, so usually two weeks to a month. Permanent bans however, are manually applied by GMs. This means Nexon went and reviewed your activity and deemed it ban worthy. Mass reports do not instantly ban a players, that has been debunked years ago. All it does is send an online GM notice of activity and they come into the map and observe. Note that this only works if a GM is online, but Reboot has had an increase of patrolling GMs in popular Arcane River hunting grounds over the last few years. Hopefully this wall of text explains how bans work in this game. This ban also sets of the precedent that WZ edits can be detected now, so good luck to those making undetected cheats.

Really disappointing this is how Duky had to go. Genuinely would have thought he was completely innocent for his second account, considering I've been around in this community for a while now and thought I knew better. The biggest takeaway here however is the next generation of content creators to come; whether he was legit or not Duky has been the only genuinely entertaining streamer for the past few years GMS has seen. All the other top streamers are purely educational, majority of the twitch-discord communities don't enjoy watching them as much, and are really bland to watch. New players might find these streamers informative like Scardor, Misusing, or Sacrix, but nearly all experienced players don't see a reason to be informed of content they already know. gotta build that legion and link skills though. To main, do w.e you want; there's almost no diff from reg to reboot. For Adele vs NL by themselves, Adele is amazing all rounder, NL requires more funding to reach same damage but has amazing end game potential. But if you don't like NL, you can always switch between Shad/DB and NL and they all take LUK just gotta consider the Nodes, weapon/second.

I think that it's not a good idea to let a stranger drive your car, if they commit a hit and run then when they check that the car is registered to your name you're going to be the primary suspect. Just like you shouldn't let strangers use your accounts, they could be using hacks and stuff and it'll be traced back to you.
Well, with the state of MS I wouldn't be surprised. It's not like this game is really a challenge or that you "get better" at the game. It just requires TIME. Lots of it. So... what duky was doing is no different than performance enhancing drugs use by athletes, which is why i no longer take sports serious in any way shape or form because majority of pros are on something, even student are taking drugs to cheat anything that can make you money means people will cheat and very high levels of cheating. cheaters are everywhere and people you know might be cheaters as well.

I have watched duky and I do like his content but when I saw his fresh reboot progression series I felt like he was just going way too unnaturally fast for a fresh account because I believe he said he was also playing on his main so unless he did nothing but sleep eat and maplestory his progression was just way too fast and a bit fishy. Nothing against duky he’s actually a chill guy but now we know he isn’t a legit player.
This is why i play in pirate servers, the grind in this game is too much and i don't have the time, so i kinda understand the booters, but for a streamer that is probably his job to play this game... i don't even know what was he thinking, the worse thing is that some of those streamers think of themself as the best player in the world when they are just egocentric cheaters.

@@TealDaubs it's against the rules...rules exist for a for a reason. If it was let to pass companies can and will target and hack accounts and then sell the services or accounts. Then more and more people begin to cheat to get ahead.

Anyway, yeah. I've never heard about Duky. But based on this video, I'm glad he got banned. Hackers should always be punished. Games should never be in favor of someone that uses illegal methods. There shouldn't be any exceptions, even if that person is famous and boosting the game's popularity.

Tbh I lost my mule storage second account years ago cos apparently I was trading with hackers in free market, you know back when people actually traded 1 to 1. It was a normal thing and not possible to know who was who. This was during some exploit period.

gotta build that legion and link skills though. To main, do w.e you want; there's almost no diff from reg to reboot. For Adele vs NL by themselves, Adele is amazing all rounder, NL requires more funding to reach same damage but has amazing end game potential. But if you don't like NL, you can always switch between Shad/DB and NL and they all take LUK just gotta consider the Nodes, weapon/second.

I think that it's not a good idea to let a stranger drive your car, if they commit a hit and run then when they check that the car is registered to your name you're going to be the primary suspect. Just like you shouldn't let strangers use your accounts, they could be using hacks and stuff and it'll be traced back to you.

It's not like this game is really a challenge or that you "get better" at the game. It just requires TIME. Lots of it. So... I don't really care about cheaters on reboot, except when they steal maps. Regular servers are different. They destroy the market there.

That said, western maple isn't a popular game. If Duky or whatever was the most popular streamer, and he wasn't duping or doing other much worse hacks, and none were on his main account, then the smart move as a business would have been to turn a blind eye.
I'm personally happy that a hacker got banned. I don't watch maplestory streamers and didn't know this guy existed until now, so I just see a hacker getting what they deserve. But someone that is the most popular streamer does put eyes on the game in a positive light, making it so more people are likely to play the game. So it's a lose lose situation, probably.

To be honest, I recently got banned without cheating/botting, the support did nothing, decided to start fresh since ignition, got banned on the second account two weeks in. Instantly quit after that, made tons of tickets, nothing helped.

I have watched duky and I do like his content but when I saw his fresh reboot progression series I felt like he was just going way too unnaturally fast for a fresh account because I believe he said he was also playing on his main so unless he did nothing but sleep eat and maplestory his progression was just way too fast and a bit fishy. Nothing against duky he’s actually a chill guy but now we know he isn’t a legit player.
