    Absolutely love my 22 cforce 600. And is plenty powerful in its stock form. I had a 02' big bear 400 with a manuel shift, and a 03' polaris sportsman 600. They were both great. The polaris was really strong back in the day. Bought a new 2016 midsize ranger to replace them both. Still have it, but I missed the atv. Glad I have the cforce, but would like to see a comparison to the new polaris when you get a chance. Thanks for the videos and parts availability!

    Especially in this scenario comparing multiple ATVs I think if at be the end you played the simulation drag race it would give more perspective and meaning to what be those numbers are...I know it's a simulation but it'll give people a visual of what's happening...just a suggestion! Keep up the great work! Looking for the 800xc real soon!!!

    Seems a little confusing to have a dyno chart that is not showing horsepower over RPM, like most car dynos. The chart, and your explanation make it sound like the Honda is making less horsepower in the earlier gears, which it does not, the engine power is dependent on engine RPM. Before anyone comes in to say that the dyno is measuring wheel torque after gear ratios, that also does not make sense, as gearing would create higher wheel torque in the lower gears, while the chart displays the opposite. I suspect the dyno is showing less apparent horsepower in lower gears because the engine was going through the rev range to quick for the dyno to load up and accurately measure. Still a very interesting test!

    The torque numbers need to be converted to foot pounds. We can not tell if it is Newton OR nano meters on the reading.

    Fun fact! That Honda has a torque converter on it. (Assuming it’s the rubicon with low range) you don’t have to get off the gas to shift it. There should be a dial on the left of the handlebars. It says D1, D2, and ESP. D2 tuned the motor to shift sooner in the rev range and gives you more torque. ESP let’s you shift it yourself.

    Overall I have a lot of respect for the CF motors!! For their high qual good price!! For all the good things you can get for the money!! But honestly you cannot bet a 420 rancher with a manual shift and I would rather have a 420 rancher manual shift independent suspension over even a Honda 520 Rubicon or if even they made something bigger than that!! The electronic shift on any of the Honda are not all that great!! It's hard to beat a good manual shift low maintenance Honda 420 ranches!! I would rather have rugged dependability over any type of luxury ridel!! Any day over a high maintenance electronic shifting flawed gadget any day of my life!! Knowing my money was well spent!! Rugged high quality performance!! CFmotor has it place!! Good quality for the price!! I actually really like to see if motive if only they had manual shift non-clutch belt driven transmission!...👍👍👏👏🙌🤯

      @spyder000069 Před 2 lety

      I have a low mileage 420 rancher dct and liked it so much I bought a 520 rubicon dct. Back to back the 520 takes the 420 off the line but not by much. Then the 420 will creep up and pass the 520. That is even with 1" taller tires on the 520. The 420 gets slighter better mpg and feels a little smoother. Overall its very hard for me to justify the extra money for the 520 rubicon over the rancher. You are only getting a little more low end torque, front diff lock, and a low range trans at the cost of $1200. The main thing I have against the CF moto's and other brands is the whine of the cvt. The honda's trans is quiet at any speed. I don't know why manufacturers can't address that because you don't hear that whine coming from scooters.

    Canada has a bigger price difference then the US, CFmoto has come along way and no doubt if there is a dealer close that wont screw you then by all means im sure they work good. Up here in Canada ill stick with my 2020 honda rancher its been super dependable even in extreme cold and they havent changed really anything in 20 years besides add fuel injection thank god. Awesome job youve done with cfmoto Blake, theres no good cfmoto dealers anyone trusts here.

  • @johnhamilton9098
    @johnhamilton9098 Před 2 lety +2

    Okay… you guys will hate me but I noticed this from the beginning as the difference between UTV and ATV. This dyno has weights on it and you also put in the dry/wet right? Well you had a body in the UTVs and not one on the ATVs until this one. This MIGHT make a difference. I know it does in the weight. Best to NOT do it one way for one and another for…others. This is inconsistent testing.
    One thing…you might see a difference with and without a rider difference. This is NEVER seen with cars…so….. numbers never seen before.
    More weight means more torque TO THE GROUND. Torque equals pulling and acceleration and pulling (or even pushing 😐) power/ability. It HAS a limit in the real world depending on MANY different inputs. HP is only important for top speed. Ask the manufacturers of exotic cars and you will see WHY the HP numbers are always higher. Torque is usually maxed lower on the rpm scale than horsepower. This is the matter of the beast with ICE power plants. Electric does not see this. ICE does not HAVE to be that way but that is best left…for private exchange.

      The dyno is specifically set each time for each unit.. im sorry that I don't include every single step in every video... most people have very short attention spans.. so I try to only include what will hold most peoples attention but still include important details. You have valid points.. and I'm just reassuring you that it is set for each machine for the most accurate data possible.

      3rd gear is usually closest to a 1:1 ratio on a dyno for a manual machine.

    For the price it's cfmoto, like someone else commented you aren't buying a honda to haul ass don't know why you're buying a fourwheeler to do that anyway especially a utility fourwheeler. Everything else out there will beat a honda (speed) but it won't out live it. I don't really know a whole lot about cfmoto so i can't talk about it but im sure a person could go through two maybe three of these in one hondas lifetime.

    Why are yall comparing dyno numbers with Honda yet comparing real world/trails with can am an Polaris, I don't think anyone in the world would argue tht a bicycle is faster than a Honda but if yall r comparing cfmoto to can am and Polaris thn u should dyno cfmoto vs can am vs Polaris NOT HONDAS lol

    • @RealTalkPowersports

      I agree.. and we will.. but everyone's canams and polaris are broke down in the shop and we can't find one in decent shape to dyno against the CFMOTOs.. we will if they ever get any in stock somewhere and someone wants to bring theirs 👍
