I've worked as a Drug Safety Analyst for 6 years and I agree with all your points. Our job is to pick adverse events or adverse drug reaction from reports, draft a chronological narrative, give the causality and labelling for the drug. Then it would move on to medical reviewers (Doctors) who will give a final medical summary of the overall report which will be submitted to the respective stakeholders like FDA and EMA etc.

Great video and interesting as I have worked in Pharmacovigilance for 15 years and you provided a lot of great information. Keep up the good work as this to me is one of the most important areas in terms of both safe and effective drugs being marketed globally. I work in IT however I am a Neuroscientist by training. Again please post more videos as Safety is such an important area of the pharma industry.

Hi Divyanka, just wondering do you think it's necessary for a PharmD to get a Pharmacovigilance certificate in order to work in Pharmacovigilance? Whether in the pharmaceutical industry or in a governmental agency?

Can't find too many options and to qualify into program, candidate must posses bachelor degree in science, which I don't have. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated! Thanks
