I think the best advice to any new player (OR TBH ANY PLAYER) is literally to just pull for the 5 stars you like or find interesting and then pull for characters that support or compliment the characters you like. Eventually you'll have very strong teams, and will be able to crush any abyss.

I think there a few things to consider.
First, you need a team, not just a character. Having Shenhe is pretty worthless without a cryo DPS for them to back up. And if you did have one of those and could get Furina or Kaz instead of Shenhe, from a power perspective, that's definitely the right call.
Second, teams vary in what they can handle well. Eula, for example, is often negatively impacted by what the Abyss tosses at her. This is part of why Quickbloom and National come so recommended. They are not only solid teams with good performance for the investment, but they are omni-tool teams. They can handle pretty much everything the Abyss tosses at them. At least until the Wenut or Wolf Lord shows up ;) So if the goal is to clear the Abyss, just pick whatever is also not a good idea. You'd need to walk a middle road... don't hold off for the best when good enough gets the job done, but do try to aim for a more generalist good enough.
That said, the difference between 36 starring the Abyss and 33 starring for an entire year is about equal to one Welkin's, which isn't even enough primos for 2 10 pulls. So, personally, I don't really see the point in rushing toward 36 starring the Abyss anyway. A few more months before you get there, not a big deal if the cost of rushing it is you having less fun.
As far as farming Gilded goes, going to somewhat disagree. It isn't hard to farm a decent Gilded set for Kuki. You just need two EM pieces, and the third can be the off set piece, plus a decent flower and feather. Sure, you'd like some HP% as a substat, but whatever. You aren't trying to chase ER%, Crit rate, and Crit DMG substats all at once. So it is, overall, pretty easy. And if that isn't easy enough, 2 piece Wanderer's is 80 EM, and you'll get those just while raising up characters. So having a 2 piece Wanderers, 2 piece Gilded set is also great, potentially reducing your need to farm even more. And with characters like Yaoyao and Kirara wanting different stats than DMC and Collei, it isn't like it'll be wasted anyway. What you do not want to do is farm Flowers of Paradise Lost for Kuki. That's a waste of resin.
Oh, and no, no, no. The Golden Troupe domain is not necessarily where you want to be. You're making the exact same mistake here that you're trying to refute about how to clear the Abyss... the assumption as to what people have access to, and what they should build toward. Troupe is a bit niche. Meanwhile, the Hunter set requires certain characters. If you don't have Furina, well, there goes its value for most characters. If you do have Furina, she's only one side of the Abyss. So what are you putting on the one on the other side? It also doesn't trigger for off-field characters, so how long are you going to keep your off-fielders on field for? If you don't have Neuv, Lyney, or Wrizzy, then, not a good set. What you should farm is the most resin efficient to increase the performance of the teams and characters you use. For many players, Emblem domain will still be the best, since so many characters want it, and they'll get 2 piece atk% out of it as well. And nope, you can't just strongbox for Emblem, when you're also trying to strongbox for VV, Noblesse, and various other sets. Especially since those sets come from domains that have bad second sets in them.

This is sort of where I ended up, I can 33 star pretty effortlessly every time, but 36 star often feels like it would involve building out several characters just to meet the specific checks of each cycle.
I'm sure I'll get there eventually but I'm not wildly interested in dropping thousands of primos into someone like say Nahida who I otherwise don't want to play. Even if she's the difference between 33 and 36 reliably, she still won't pay for herself over the lifespan of the game unless I get bonkers lucky.

Actual execution is something that goes unsaid a lot and I think it's way more important than a lot of people realize. The max DPS check in floor 12 is like 30k, which is high for a new player but the majority of teams can reach it with medium investment. On the other hand no amount of investment (save for whaling) will save you if you don't know how to group enemies, if you don't know how to build a team to pass elemental checks, or if Coppelia one shots you

as a (relatively) newer player who started in 3.4, I feel like TIME is such an understated topic when talking about new players, f2p or not. people saying that you can buy 4* on the shop/get them from Lantern Rite really miss the part that it's still just three constellations per year (and that is assuming you'll have enough starglitter when you need it), YEAR. year is a very long time lmao. same goes for certain 5*, Kazuha reruns like once a year too, which is a very long time. if you don't spend on the game, he might just end up in a banner where you either sacrifice a character you like or Kazuha himself. either way, nice video, my only complaint is probably on the pull whatever on the character banner - you'd rather still understand how useful the character you're pulling is, cause getting someone like Shenhe who's quite a specific support might not be the best decision.

It is the fastest way to destroy all contents in the game except the abyss. You can reach WR8 in 2 months, clear all missions and gain 50k primos with lisa hyperbloom, starting from fresh and without pulling any character but Noelle. Once you are at WR8 and can blast all Lv90 weekly bosses, field bosses and domains solo, you can raise any character and farm any artifact you want. All you need is a lisa with 1k+ EM and she can deal 500k damage in 15 seconds with Barbara and Collei, that kills the first 4 weekly bosses and most field bosses in the game in one rotation.
To be efficient you should push to AR55 as soon as possible (while able to handle them) because field boss 100% drop five star artifact at WR8, so you can have a much better head start for just gathering ascension materials. Most sets can be recycled into nowadays it can greatly decrease the resin required to build a decent set.

I just figure that new accounts are likely to have pulled on Wriothesly, Lyney, and Neuvilette because those units have been the units available to them for the last five(?) months. With the exception of Navia (who can make use of 2x GT) all of the on-field damage dealers can use MH really well while 2x or 4x GT is not the worst thing to give to a lot of your units in the same way that 2x Noblesse was used throughout all of year 1 of Genshin.
I kind of lean towards Emblem/Shimenawa being the most resin-efficient domain but I totally get why people would choose to sit in the GT/MH domain for the next year or longer.

@@butterfer0808 the problem is if an artifact set is dependent on a certain type of gameplay (instead of an element), it's not advice that will age well. imagine a newbie playing in snezhnaya and all the fontaine charas have yet to run/have rerun before them playing. i would not really recommend maresussy/golden. what if they also don't like furina? mare would have more limited use.
dw/gilded would actually be better because unless the newbie hates dendro as a whole, it's more universally useful. you also want at least 1 full set of dw anyway for a dendro team, whether you have nahida or not, because of the 4pc effect. if a newbie doesn't like nahida, the artifact set value doesn't get affected because dw isn't relying on nahida's gimmick to be viable for charas outside of dendro (unlike maresussy's reliance on furina if you want the set to work for chara w/o hp drain)
farming emblem/shime is not too bad if you think about it too. although shime is more niche than emblem, shime 2pc atk effect is useful to a lot of chara. so emblem as a whole is pretty good for a lot of chara in general, then shime is good in general as 2pc option (despite being slightly more niche as 4pc)

My biggest advice would be to hold off on clearing Floors 9-12 of Spiral Abyss for a while until you're ready to do so. Just farming artifacts alone, even if you farm efficiently, are huge time and resin investments. Chances are, you likely have some Archon, Story, Hangout, and World Quests that grant you a substantial amount of free primos for almost no investment beyond your time, and they will even qualify for completing your Daily commissions (even the World Quests that don't reward primos on their own).
There is no real shortcuts to clearing floors 9-12 of the Abyss, whether you're using "meta" teams or not. And even if you use Starglitter to pull for worthwhile 4*s, that's only one of that particular 4* per featured month. C6ing any of those 4*s through Starglitter alone takes years.
And finally, I recommend finding a positive discord or other social media genshin group with players that are willing to help you out.

This video is correct in so many things. I started playing 6 months ago and my current best abyss is 34*. I was blessed with XQ and Bennet on my first beginner banner pull and got sucrose pretty early too, but that just doesn't clear fast enough. For 5* I have Yelan and Furina and when I got each of them my abyss stars jumped up significatly. Getting 1-2 5* on both sides for DPS and at the same time some 4* to support is deffeneatly the fastest way to 36*.
As a new player in a 3 year old game it feels that the communitys preception of investment is heavily based on 5* pulls instead of the time that gives you them. Becouse invested time(or money to speed up that time) is the real metric that should be used to mesure investment level. 5*? Time. Character level and talents? Time. Good artifacts? Time!
It would be really good to see content based around how long you have played. For first year players dealing with what you have and how to go about wishing for different priorities: fun characters vs 36*. For 1-2 year players how to optimise their teams to the max with 5* supports/early cons/weapons and high con 4*. For 3+ year players some whacky options that they might have overlooked or new options with new characters.

I discovered Genshin Impact a month ago, and I thank you a lot for the vid. I like its overall blunt tone and the fact that you questioned many perspectives. From what I can see, the GI community is very reactive and there's an infinity of guides showing a strong consensus on a meta/way to play considered optimal. This meta is a great framework for progression, thanks to veterans' experience, but it can be indeed intimidating when you can't conform to it.
Personally, I know I wouldn't be able to conform to it for 2 reasons: 1) I'm exclusively F2P and won't be pouring a euro into Hoyo's pocket. As a result, I'd have a hard time ensuring I get the 5-star characters I'd enjoy playing/need to support the ones I previously got (I'd already be extremely lucky if I managed to catch Furina/Mualani/Nahida/Wanderer/Wrio in less than 2 years) 2) I want to make shine characters that are far from meta that I've been forced to invest on for an enjoyable early game experience and because I ended up getting genuinely attached to them (dendro Lumine, Razor, Kaeya, Kaveh). So I'd rather give up the idea of following meta tips, especially those including 5-star characters I'm not sure to get.
As I'm forced to work without meta, I have to do some Olympics-worthy mental gymnastics to figure out how to optimize my non-meta characters. For now, what I recall is that the most important thing is to do big numbers damage consistently through plenty strategies: build each character's gear to match their kit/role within teams according to the elemental reaction put forward, grouping enemies in strategic locations to finish them quicker, learning their attack patterns and dodge effectively/shield/heal to guarantee survival, optimized rotations cycles, energy stuff to be able to spam burst attacks etc... It's a long way to go, but I'm convinced that by mastering these fighting mechanics, I can succeed in the abyss with any seemingly mediocre team.

the best example is the fav series you don't know when you're getting that second fav sword considering we have too many good supports that use fav weapons

Let me tell you a story of the tough reality of 36-starring and "meta" teams.
I've been playing since v3.5 and I got all the busted supports: Nahida, Kazuha, Yelan, C2 Kuki, C6 Xingqiu, C6 Fischl, and C6 Xiangling. From these, I've built two teams: hyperbloom (Nahida, Yelan, Xingqiu, Kuki) and national (Kazuha, Ayato, Bennett, Xiangling).
I farmed both deepwood and emblem for months, and for that I have a decent deepwood set for Nahida, a 4pc gilded set with triple EM for Kuki, and 4pc emblem for Yelan, Xingqiu, and Xiangling. Passively, I also strongboxed 4pc VV for Kazuha, 4pc noblesse for Bennett, and 4pc gladiator's for Ayato.
I leveled everyone to 90. I leveled everyone's talents to at least 8/8/8. I made sure they all had enough ER, crit, atk, and em depending on what they needed. I followed guides closely. I did everything right.
I should be able to 36*, right? Wrong. I've been stuck at 33* for months because my 300+ ping and mobile player skill issue keeps dragging me down 😂

    How to 36 star abyss?
Best advice: You don't, you stop at 30 or 33 and do something productive instead. Seriously, the last 3 stars are not worth wasting time on. If you can't 36 star the abyss, it's fine, it's because this game's progression rate is time gated and just slow as hell in general. Exceptions: if you're trying to get there just for the sake of a challenge. Or if you have strong well built teams and aren't just trying to bruteforce a mediocre team with "skills and tactics". Clearing the last floor by itself will take more time than clearing floors 9,10 and 11 combined if you're an f2p and don't have either a whole load of vertical investment(strong artifacts, 5* weapons, constellations, etc.) or a specific 5 star character centered teams that benefit the most from each abyss cycle's blessing and enemy lineup. If you're spending money on the game and allocating that excess resources you get from it to have 2 really well built team it won't be difficult to clear 36 stars, but someone who has that wouldn't even be looking for ways to 36 star on youtube

FR bruh I just started playing this game a few weeks ago and there are many vids out there that are informative about what exists or can be done in theory, but this and your two Stop Recommending videos are far the most useful and helpful content I have seen about this game. It's a GACHA game people. There are no secretly OP units or combos for free. To gain power you either get lucky, wait until you get lucky, or start swipin.
Case in point: I got ridiculously lucky and pulled Navia and immediately switched up everything to build around her. All my resources go to her and to my scuffed double pyro double geo team (Navia, Noelle, Xiangling, Amber) that revolves around her. Until I get some better units like Bennett or Zhongli, this is what I've got, and it doesn't matter that I don't have the absolute meta supports because Navia carries like a truck and gets more obnoxious the more investment she gets.
I also got Tighnari and sort of messed around with him a bit thinking "ok dendro so hyperbloom time?" and it was hot trash because he's not made for that and the other units I have for it are shit. But then I learned more about him and figured out he's built for Quicken / Spread, not bloom, and then he made a lot more sense and actually is very fun to play. So I also have Kuki, Lisa, and Sucrose to work with, and at some point after I have my Navia team decently built then I'll probably start working on them, unless I get others who are better with Tighnari, or a more interesting S tier five star.
What you are talking about here is so easily missed but is the entire premise of all GACHA games. The best four stars have a low power floor and a moderate power ceiling and take tons of investment to reach peak power. They are cheap to obtain and may be good with a huge amount of investment. Limited five stars have a high power floor and are excellent with no investment at all, and have huge overhead for developing value out of continued investment. When maxed out they are worth two or three four stars in overall power. That is how the entire game works, by design.
The key to having the most fun and getting the most progression for your time or money spent is just do the best with what you have until you get lucky and have something amazing, and then make the absolute best out of that.

Honestly I'd just suggest a new player figure out some teams that can clear Floor 9, maybe 10, and stop there until they feel confident (or just go forward into F11 and stop when you hit a wall). The difference in the damage check is huge, it's significantly more effort to get the other half of the rewards... and if I cared enough about a new player, it would be less effort for me to just buy them Welkin for a month than try to coach them to smash their head against 11-12.
Also I think the Emblem domain is underrated. Shimenawa/Emblem 2pc combo is acceptably non-terrible on plenty of characters, ER is often an early bottleneck to doing good damage and learning how to do basic rotations (which increases damage output through better play). Hunter/Troupe and Deepwood/Gilded are extremely good domains, but somewhat dependent on having characters that play into them. Tons of characters have Bursts that do damage, and most characters scale off ATK. Can't really go wrong there.

I guess what I could recommend for someone who wants to clear Floor 12 is to simply take their time. Because it really does take a long ahh time to get enough wishes and resin to build a strong enough roster for it. Personally it took me about a year - and at least two dozens of characters built at a baseline - to get 36-stars as a player who only spent a small amount of cash in this game.
BTW I'm not sure players really need to build that many characters to clear. But I think it's natural to expect most players to just experiment with a variety of characters first to see which ones work for them and which one doesn't. I find that it's better for people to just pull for anyone that piques their interest, because they'll figure out eventually which teammates work best for their favorite characters along the way.
There's also other things people need to keep in mind too, like building enough team comps that can cover all bases (single target, AOE, various shieldbreaking scenarios), learning how to think outside the box when it comes to teambuilding (some teams that people don't think are meta might actually be stronger and more versatile than they think), and knowing how to exploit abyss and enemy mechanics. Like everything else though it takes some time to figure all these out

Not sure why you keep mentioning hyperbloom’s reliance on a good dendro five star when Yao Yao is quite literally enough dendro to clear this abyss second half. I feel like you haven’t actually run the damn team before saying you need Nahida. I mean Yao Yao HB does as much ST damage as Nilou, a unit we both agree is broken at low investment. And abyss is now doing 3 bosses at a time.
I feel like your exaggerating again to make a point that isn’t true.
I agree it’s smart to pull on what you have in front of you, (like that ayato banner with Kuki and xiangling on it) but the idea that hyperbloom just doesn’t work till a dendro five star banner is misguided. It’s still quite litteraly the best for filling out a second team with four stars and a five star.
I will agree though that all four star teams are shit. That ayato banner for example gives you a perfect excuse to run ayato HB and clear abyss with just that and a Yao Yao. Kuki and Yao Yao c0 are not con reliant four stars and they work great with even your suggestions.

Depends on your playstyle, but honestly, either one works since Genshin is an easy game and over time, you'll develop a roster of well-built characters anyway. TLDR; tryhards - vertical investment first then horizontal, casuals/beginners - horizontal then vertical
For min-maxing purposes (i.e. you just want to clear Abyss asap), you'd want to vertically invest in units/teams until have at least 2 well-built teams - but ideally a few more since enemy resistances/immunities can render certain team comps/characters nonviable - that can reliably 36 star the Abyss (and other endgame content). This will help ensure that you have a select few characters who can easily clear content rather than a myriad of half-built characters who may all struggle to clear the same content while demanding the same amount of time and resources.
Afterwards, horizontal investment becomes more efficient since farming for better artifacts to replace the ones your built units have can take weeks while providing diminishing returns. And the overall cost of upgrading these units (namely their talents and level) is considerably more expensive and time-consuming than building and leveling a new character from scratch.
If you don't care to min-max or about the Abyss, then horizontal investment is the way to go as you'll be able to try out a variety of different playstyles and characters so that you'll know which teams/characters you'll want to hyper invest in in the future. You also won't need to worry about your hyper-invested units becoming useless in the case you face enemies who are highly resistant/immune to their corresponding element. Also, if you're just starting out, as in

New players should not be stressed about it and just enjoy it is really a long haul game. As yllong as you are playing and wishing rosters will come and so is artifacts. In 3 years you will have an excess of everything and redundant characters.

Be resourceful and pull decently good units (until you can 36 star regularly), not saying that you shouldn't pull your favourite characters but hey always know that every character is broken in their own way, its just the amount of resources and time you need to invest in each of them that differ. For example as the latest character Navia has gained quite the popularity, always note (if you are f2p that is) how would you use that unit e.g. weapons, teams etc. pulling based just on character design might take a toll on your entire account as you progress late game. Always consider the possibilities. Thanks for reading

Keys to 36 abyss with a new account.
    A) Not all 5* are as powerful as the 4* and many of the 4* are utterly broken in certain ways (Xinqiu, Benny, Fischl, Xianling, kuki, Sucrose).
    B) Use strategies and build your characters correctly. If you are using a catalyst and they either, don't do much personal dmg or they do reaction dmg (like aggravate lisa) then give them tales which increases your main dps dmg (like alhaithm or Keqing).
    C) Farm for resin efficient domains like deep or hunter and put the best in slot weapons for each character.
    D) Don't believe the myth that weapons banner is a waste, it's not. But do pull for the best weapon banners and not abl bad one. Example, if the mistplitter and Homa are in the same banner then pull till you get either of them or both if lucky. I'm 100% f2p and I have 2 mistplitter 1 Homa, 1 scarlet sand, 1 engulfing, 1 redhorn and lots of 5* like the skyward series (I also got lots of favonius).
    E) Create cohesive teams instead of slapping strong units together. Some units have their dps locked in field time and some others have different burt durations. Furthermore some units have long burst animations (Ayato) and block your vision so using them might be a bad ideas.
This is an example of team building. I have Ayato xingqiu kazuha Yunjin (con 5) and Rosaria (max con). You would think that Yunjin would be better than Rosaria since it helps with Ayato's personal dmg right? Well no, since Kazuha can double swirl to increase Rosaria's burst dmg and she can freeze grouped enemies so Ayato can deal all of his Dmg to all the enemies, so even if Yun was C6 she would still lose against Rosaria to multiple targets and only buff a little dmg in case of single target.
    F) Learn enemy weaknesses and behavior. The pyro lectors can be baited into a corner and the coppelia can be stunned with the sword of Narcissus (golden) so you can deal dmg without dying.

for getting stars in the abyss, this is definitely good advice because you SHOULD prioritise doing damage over playing characters you like, but i think it should be said that in casual play, especially for new players who still have a lot of exploring to do, you should not force damage with characters you don’t enjoy while playing casually! seriously, it can burn you out so quickly don’t do it
so if you need damage for abyss, do this!
if you want to have fun playing the game, doing silly overworld puzzles and getting chests, it’s okay and probably better to play characters you like, not characters others tell you do good damage

Get your favourite characters, build your favourite characters, Plan rotations, use rotations, clear the abyss and one underrated tip use healers as the enemies in higher floors can kill you really easily, I've only cleared floor 11, 7/9, but most of my characters are unbuilt and not to their full potential, ig if you build your character to their full potential you can easily clear the abyss.

Abyss is getting progressively harder (since 2.0) and forget getting 36* if you are below AR55, there is way too much Adventure EXP and not enough resin to level multiple characters to 80/90, level 9/10 talents or multiple weapons and forget about getting tha bare minimum 4pc sets with 200CV artifacts with enough energy recharge.
Which also require insane investments and by the time they reach that level of investment, you`ll have guaranteed 3 limited 5 stars even after losing 50/50 every time
Also what is Enviosity supposed to play if not Hyperbloom or Xiangling with melt Kaeya?

    • @trashbuilds8351
      @trashbuilds8351 Před 8 měsíci

So true, leveling characters leaves no resin for artifacts so if you are building 8 characters at once, it's not realistic to focus on characters that require above average investment. Plus, a lot of creators say you don't need to go past lvl 7-8 on talents, which I get that in general it is a huge cost for little impact - but when you don't have cracked artifacts, and barely any weapon choice, the difference is noticeable - but only do it on characters you are for sure going to be playing for a while

In short, pulling for 5* is the best advice as they have more power than most of the character in the game at E0, plus you will get dupes of 4 stars which will make them stronger and you also get some currencies to buy wishes or a specific dupes of a character you want (ex: Lisa or Kaeya).
And most of the 4* dps did get better at C5/C6 so it would be better for 5* instead bc even if you wish on a banner with your current 4* dps, you have 50% and 33,33% chances to get it.
I really think i should take this advice for HSR as well since it’s the same formula. Plus, vertical investment could be great as well as the LC banner is not a scam.

  • @fredxu99
    @fredxu99 Před 8 měsíci +4

This is the exact experience I had. Forcing Xiangling onto my teams at C0 is just... not the play. She does very little at C0, with her burst being only about half as effective as it is at C4, literally half the potential damage of what veterans experience with their maxed out Xianglings.
Xingqiu is a similar experience, painful to play at C0 with only a Favonius sword, it feels like he never has enough ER so running ER sands is a colossal downgrade compared to C6/R5 Sac/Atk Sands. I still don't have the full C6R5 Xingqiu build, and I found and still find it much easier to use Yelan despite everyone and their mother claiming Yelan was worse for reaction-based teams because she has less hydro application than Xingqiu, without the full context that Xingqiu needs an insane amount of ER or multiple batteries to feel functional before C6+R5 Sac.
Same goes for C0 Sucrose as a "low-investment alternative" to Kazuha/Venti, absolutely abysmal unit by comparison but Anemo has little to no choices outside of those two 5-stars for grouping so yeah... her buffing potential might be good at C6 but she isn't great at base.

I tried to clear with raiden national for so many patches and I just couldn't understand, why I can't clear. All I needed to do was bench C0 XL and start investing into actually good 5* units that I had and enjoyed playing.

  • @Amin4l
    @Amin4l Před 8 měsíci +2

Dude, I understand and agree with the main statement of the video, but I believe that many recommendations you've made might be misleading, specially the one for "pull as much as possible".
I myself have pulled for Ayaka and Shenhe, because I really like them, and basically I cannot use them on the abyss. Someone could also end with an account filled with 5* main dps and no supports.
Also, Golden Troupe/Marechausse domain being the most resin efficient would need a lot of contextualization that you just didn't give. If you don't have Furina or a Fontaine dps, it's only worth for Fischl.
But again, I see what you mean generally, and I find it to be good information for new players.

The worst advice I ever got with this game was "DPS characters are replacable, get 5 star supports early"
Now, some of those characters like Kazuha and Yelan I certainly don't regret having, but months of trying to use Shenhe to support c0 Rosaria with c0 Bennett and C1 Xiangling was just hell, vs having just pulled Ayaka and Hu Tao.
A friend recently started and pulled Lyney, Neuvillette and Furina in quick succession and is actually having fun and actually 36 starring Abyss so much sooner than I could, even using Dehya and c0 Sucrose as supports.

in something like keqing-fishcl aggravate the main damage dealer is not keqing it's fishcl and keqing is fulfilling the role of a driver for fishcl a4 passive and C6 ability
Another example is a double hydro hyper bloom everyone is doing damage so if you just use em on kuki and ignore everything else it would do alot less dmg

Most limited 5 stars suffer from the same issues. They all want c6 four star supports or other 5 stars. Its a self defeating argument. It suffers from the same problems that u are trying to argue against. If you were to actually want to make the comparison properly you would have to:
    1. Look at the total limited 5 star and 4 star cons investment of any given team to make objective comparisons
    2. Compare the value that said characters can bring to an account (furina, yelan, kazuha, nahida generally bring more value than 5 star dps chars but obv depends on each person)
U will quickly realise a team like double hydro hyperbloom has some of the highest value 5 stars and 4 star cons while also having a low amount required. Nahida and yelan are two generic limited 5 stars than a lot of 5 star dpses u mentioned in ur vid require anyways. kuki can be c0 and xq can be c2 since he benefits much less from his c3-6 in this team compared to others and both see play in many teams are worth investing into.
A premium cyno or ayaka team in comparison would want ayaka shenhe kokomi kazuha or cyno furina baizhu raiden... all 5 stars. And most of these 5 stars are not generic hence commonly seen as lower in value. And if u dont go for the premium version u end up using low con xingqui or other bad 4 star chars like dendro mc or lisa for cyno and diona or barbara with sucrose for ayaka. I have just had a discussion with a new player who wants to build a team for navia and he doesnt have zhongli or bennet and his xiangling is c1. He opted for navia geo mc fishl c2 xingqui c2. There u go he isnt playing national like u wanted but what is he playing now lol. Not any better than the copium low con 4 star teams u made fun of.
From ur pic at 4:36 haitham wants nahida anyways and a variety of c6 fishl c2 kuki kirara or baizhu c6 xingqui or yelan. U can build a proper haitham team u can build other proper dendo teams.
Navia wants bennet and zhongli or at least albedo or c6 ning. Ideally also furina or c4 xiangling
wrio ideally wants two of furina shenhe kazuha
Lyney also wants bennet c4 xiangling zhongli dehya kazuha
Hutao I dont recommend to new players but she also wants c6 xq yelan furina kazuha zhongli bennet
I dont see any good argument how trying to build those teams is necessarily gonna get u 36 star any sooner or any more efficient than nahida c2 kuki c2 xq yelan for a new player. Yelan and nahida are great for overworld as well and fav bow is free. U can farm deepwood for nahida and kuki and throw all trash into emblem strongbox and u have a very solid team with less 4 star and 5 star pulls than most if not all u mentioned and very generic ones at that.
U need to have a structured plan of what teams u want to pull and double hydro hyperbloom is such an easy recommend as it doesnt require many units and u can horizontally diversify into many other teams without wasting any pulls on potentially benched chars. Im not a fan of national for new players tho as without snapshotting, double swirling, quad vaping xq skill or nuking childes ult etc. it just sucks. Investment into those units is unlikely to be a waste tho.
If u like a specific char or team than identify the most efficient path towards it given the banner schedule, your primogem income and other factors and work efficiently towards that goal. "Just pull the gacha and ull get stronger 4 head cause most 5 stars are better than 4 stars" is bad advice in this dps chars dominated roster cause thats how many people end up with 8 dps 1 support on their account and still struggle with abyss.

I agree with this 100% I cleared most of the game's content with a budget 4-star hyperbloom team Lynette (c6), Dendro Lumine, Kuki, and Xingqiu. The team stomps overworld but fell flat in the abyss. Not enough talent damage and as you said it is just plain cope. I still love lynette as my main dps 4-star character, but yeah building a team centered around a 5-star core is better.

Pretty much agree and what being said is true... The difference between 4 stars and limited 5 stars chr is very large... Period... The more 5 stars you have, the easier to clear the hard content... Lets just face the real hard truth that the developers build this game for business not solely for f2p and not making profit... Based on this, we should know what to aspect... Took me like almost 2 years of playing genshin until I am able to earn my first 36 stars... That only happen after I have multiples limited 5 stars (excluding standards) along with some constellation (C1-C2) and signature weapon (R1)... Ever since then... My abys 36 star journey is smoother and consistent on every patch/update...

Feel like this video is just all over the place structure wise. Don’t built national / hyperbloom but… if you have the units then build national / hyperbloom… These are some of the lukest warm takes I’ve ever heard. There’s a lot of general knowledge and it feels like you’re lecturing old players rather than trying to talk to new players.
I think best tip for clearing abyss is knowing how damage works. It took me probably a little over a year to 36* abyss because I just built who I liked and who I liked was keqing pre-dendro (which I pulled on her banner, don’t judge). I knew at the time there was damage disparity between units but I was also playing like keqing bennet xingqui mona on one side and phys rosaria diona fischl and beidou on the other side. The reactions I was doing and the teams I was playing do not scale well and most of the content relied on super invested hypercarrys or capitalizing on knowing how reactions worked and which ones were the most powerful. The first time I 36’d abyss was having a raiden national team and the other team was a kazuha + keqing team. Prior to pulling my raiden my xiangling was like level 50 and my xingqui was 60/70. After watching guides on how the teams worked I got both to 70/70 and could finally make the abyss clearing time. Im a pretty firm believer in getting the bang for your buck so I was happy with just clearing it and I knew if I was like a few seconds short I could always level the same character to maybe 70/80 and just get higher talents to fix the lack of dps (which down the line I eventually had to do). I didn’t like playing the team, but it was my only option to reach the dps check against boss chambers which had the highest hp check at the time.
With dendro release and reactions being transformative instead of multiplicative, it makes it easier to even at c0 and low talent level investment to get a character up and running doing good damage. I think both hyperbloom / national teams have a good type coverage which makes them recommendable to all players. Maybe the team you like playing isn’t using the core components of either hyperbloom or national, then it’s a solid choice for a second team.
Now I currently don’t play either of these teams. With 3 years of playing I have quicken teams, hypercarry teams, nilou team and as of late weird electro-charged teams with furina and kazuha absolutely shredding everything in my path. But new players starting out I still recommend hyperbloom, national, and fridge is actually up there if you have Layla or rosaria. Even if you’re not playing national, I’d build bennet and xiangling because cryo in abyss is rough to deal with plus most attack scaling hypercarry units benefit from the bennet XL combo b/c of resonance and aoe coverage.

I have waisted time on the wrong charaaters and artifacts my entire account 😂😂. Although not the worst. I feel bad for myself who has followed the 4 star trend and has suffered as a consequence early on. Just prioritizing wrong. It not bad advice but it isnt good. End of day i need one of your recommended dps, atm im waiting for neuvelette. However my account has become about all the other 5 stars. I have kazuha, venti, zhonglhi, yelan, baizhu, raiden and furnia as the 5 stars i have wished for. C0 raiden is good, but I still think she requires a very strong team as her high dps is linked to national, and also requires at least two rotations for max damage. However, if you play long enough, and you get all those good 4 stars built, well you will eventually be rewarded like I am starting to see... just albeit slowly. Got c4 xiangling woot, c5 bennet. C5 noelle RIP (my begginer carry is not long away to being revived because of furina). I would recommend building tinari if you lose 50 50 to him as he is my strongest dps and outperforms raiden c0 in consistency. Mona is nice but not longer scales as well early constellation.

4:42 somebody finally freakin said it, It sucks that she has so much great things locked in c4, LIKE A LITERAL LONGER BURST-
and also free damage in c3 and c1 like I can't pull on every banner Xiangling is, even till today and btw i'm a 2.5 player, she's still c2 (could of been c3 if I didn't choose Yao Yao which was an honest mistake for me) but she's not really living her full potential in c0, you really want her cons very much

Okay, so it's definitely the artifacts on my Hypercarry Venti Team. And also sometimes forgetting to give Bennett the Mistsplitter. Maybe I should farm a damage Maiden's set so bennett can do damage and heal without overlapping on Faruzan's noblesse.

@@butterfer0808 My main team is a Hypercarry Venti Team (Venti, Layla, Bennett, Faruzan). Mistsplitter is usually on my Kaeya, so sometimes I forget to switch it onto Bennett. Bennett is on HP/HP/HB Noblesse because he's the only healer on that team, but Faruzan is also on Noblesse because I didn't realize they overlapped until I'd already farmed for her.
I can farm an ADC Maiden's set so Bennett still has decent healing as the only healer on that team while still doing damage. Now that I think about it though, I have plenty of Emblem pieces for Faruzan if I want to cannabalize Lisa and Beidou's builds... hm. But I use Lisa a lot, so maybe I'll just go farm Emblem again.
